Addison was exceptional from start to finish. I found her through Facebook, and right away she was kind, responsive, and incredibly thorough with all my questions. She communicated clearly and accommodated my scheduling needs, including my dog's haircut timing. This was my puppy's first grooming, and Addison handled it with impressive patience and care. She sent me multiple progress photos and kept me updated throughout the process, which I really appreciated. The grooming itself was fantastic--exactly what I asked for, and the cut was beautiful. Pricing was fair, and I was so impressed that I ended up giving Addison a significant tip for the outstanding service. I'm already planning to return every month to see her. On top of grooming, I learned they offer training, and I'm waiting to hear back from the trainer to schedule. While the drive is a bit long from home, I'm more than willing to make the trip for this level of service--it's becoming rare to find such thoughtful and high-quality care. Scheduled a grooming appointment for Saturday the 19th about a month ago.....decided at the last minute to take a weekend trip and normally get a sitter to stay with them at the house, the sitter was not able to take them for grooming so i against my better judgement decided to just board them. Was told i could see my pets on camera but i only saw one of my dogs for about 30 secs. Never saw the other one. Had my small 10 lbs dogs with big dogs and they called me sunday before pickup and was told there was a mixup and they didnt get groomed......when i arrived i was told oh we were mistaken when we called you. They did get groomed....i was charged for grooming but at most they were shampooed an brushed but definitely not groomed STAY AWAY. Before supposed grooming on back of couch. Please make sure you do not bring any of your animals to this location. At the end of the day do your research and read the reviews. They have signs of neglect here. I'm not sure if it's because they are understaffed or truly just do not care but needless to say there are definitely issues that need to be addressed. In a previous review you will find that they actually lost someone's dog. The owner found out by receiving receiving a call from someone that found their dog miles away from the facility. After reaching out the owner gave him a 25% off option. That is absurd. If you lose my dog not only should you fully refund the stay but you should be extremely apologetic which I doubt is the case. In my situation, after my dogs stayed for only two days. During that time my dog had a cut on its side, injured paw to the point where she couldn't walk right, her collar seemed to be rolled in mud, I paid for a grooming but unfortunately I don't think they did that either. We had to take her immediately after leaving the facility to a groomers to get her washed. Her ears were full of dirt. To top it off I think the facility isn't as clean as it should be. She came back with a rash on her stomach. What makes things worse is I called immediately to get some information on what happened. I am now on day 2..... no call back. I called 3-4 times.... no answer. Lucky my dog will live. If you bring your animals here I can only hope you have the same luck as me. To the managers and owners... do better. I am searching for a puppy training. I saw this add but I would never take my new pup there. My previous dog went here for day care and they kicked him out after 9 months because he was aggressive. He didn't have an aggressive bone in his body. The place is dirty and needs to serious clean up and updating. It is an old facility. Beware of this place. read more

My bernese mountain dog had a full vet checkup the same day he went to board here. He was healthy. He stayed for a week, and i picked him up 4 days go. He had some green stuff coming out of one of his eyes when i picked him up, and he seemed congested. I made the mistake of thinking it was something he could fight off because early this morning, he started having a very hard time breathing and stopped breathing before I could get him to the animal hospital. They found swelling in his throat caused by an infection. This is devastating. Please do not send your pet here. read more

Worst Experience! The front counter is dirty and unorganized - this should have been a sign. When I went to pick up my dog, they had misplaced his leash and harness and also his other bag with blanket and toys (comfort items). The also misplaced his medicine. The person checking me out told me should would call when they found the items - I told her I couldn't leave until I had my pets items and even offered to help her look. Finally all items were located - at different places around the facility - eek! I had 2 coupons - one for the weekend stay and one for the week stay (40% and 30%) that I told them about at check it. I cannot see where this was applied - I'm still waiting on a call back for resolution- refund. Also, my dog was skin and bones when I picked him up. This is not uncommon as he doesn't usually eat much when he is boarded, but all the food and treats I packed for him were gone. It makes me wonder with all the disorganization, if another dog got my dog's food. Will not return - terrible experience!!!! My poor dog.... read more

We booked a grooming appointment for our 2 dogs. The appointment was confirmed by both email and phone call. Dropped off at 8:00am on day of appointment and they were taken to the back to await the groomer Connie Grove. 4 hours later I receive call saying the groomer, Connie Grove, was not coming in did I want to reschedule!! My dogs sat in a pen for 4 hours! If that's the way you run your business, good luck! You are unprofessional and incompetent. Stay far away!! Facility is not nice either! read more

I visited the facility a couple of months ago and was impressed with impressed with the number of people I saw working there. When I picked up my dog today, I was told that there is no one there with the animals at night. To be more specific, after 4 pm. I picked him up at 9 am. So, from when to when are the pets by themselves. The ads state when they are open and closed, but not when the employees are there and in this case, not there? Just because they are open does not equate to when the employees are there. Additionally, I was told that they have discussed having someone there in the evening, but the owner has not approved it, nor do they know when that will or might happen. One other thing, they ask you to purchase "insurance" so that if they have to take your pet to the emergency vet, they can do that. But how do they do this, if no one is there to take them? We took my dog Benji here for 4th of July week, and upon picking him up he was covered in dirt from top to bottom, smelled like pee and was tired and sick. 3 days later he hasn't eaten, has diarrhea, and has thrown up many of his meals. This place is not clean and they DO NOT CARE. Whatever you do, don't take your dog to a boarding place period. If he gets in critical condition, we may even look at taking legal action against this place.. horrible. read more

Looks as if they cut my dogs nails with kindergarten scissors. I could care less if they look nice, but they are so short he can't walk without squeeling. I assumed he was just being dramatic while getting them cut. He wasn't, he was actually in pain. They said they couldn't get the nail filing done, it's because there is no nail left to file down. Totally recommend! I got my two pit/lab dogs, Roxy and Sofia, groomed by the groomer Connie, and she was fantastic! Not only was the groom above and beyond my expectations she was the absolute sweetest with them and they looked so happy to see me! This is by far the worst place to leave your animals in the state of Indiana. Ask for a tour of the facilities and you'll see why. They've had numerous animals escape the building because corporate refuses to fix anything. My dog left with filth all over him among other things. This place is just down right embarrassing. She answered all my questions and concerns I had and took the time to explain what their stay will look like. When I dropped my cats off their their extended stay, I was greet at the door by Taylor. I am very disappointed in the experience I had with Best Friends. I was referred to them by my friend who takes his dog there. My dog has been going to another day care ever since I got him but I wanted to try some place that was closer to my work. The first time going there was fine and I was thrilled I had found a place that was more convenient with my daily commute. My favorite thing about this place was the ability to watch your dogs on the cameras. So just like any other dog mom, I would watch from time to time throughout the day. Well my favorite thing turned out to be the reason why I won't ever take my dog back there. Dogs are supposed to get play time from 9am-12pm then 1pm-4pm which is what he received the first time going there. My dog is a puppy so he gets tired and tends to do what I call "mouth play" which is when he lays down but just plays with other dogs with his mouth and makes silly noises, he does this all the time. I had checked the cameras in the afternoon and saw the girl that was on dog duty take my dog (who was doing mouth play w/ two other dogs who were standing over him) by his collar and put him in a cage and then covered the cage w/ the dog bed so he couldn't see out. He was like this for the remainder of the day and was never let out until I came to get him. When I picked him up I asked why they did this and was told that he was "too barky". So the young girl that was on her phone that majority day decided that a dog was too barky and isolated him in a cage when I paid for full day of play time. I am extremely turned off by this because it's a damn doggy daycare for goodness sakes, dogs are going to bark or make silly noises. The woman that is always working the desk in the mornings is incredibly nice but I am not so sure about the folks that work there in the afternoons. Needless to say, I am going to go back to my other day care even if it's completely out of my way. read more

Our dogs always love going to Best Friends for either Day Camp, Grooming or staying for a long weekend. The staff is always friendly and love taking care of our dogs. Our dogs always have a great time at Day Camp and can't wait to go back. The groomers always do a wonderful job. They are very caring and when one of our dogs didn't like getting his nails cut, they worked with him to make him feel more comfortable and not so stressed. I love taking our dog to Best Friends! They all know my dog Ruby by name and greet her when we walk in. The drop-off process is also super quick, which I appreciate on mornings when I'm hustling to get to work on time. I also really like that they have live webcams so you can see your dog playing her heart out (or in our dog's case, chilling in the shade) anytime throughout the day. When I brought Ruby in for the first time, they gave me a tour of the facility, which put my mind at ease. They are also able to answer any questions I have as they come up. When Ruby stays for the weekend for overnight boarding, they usually email me a photo of her playing or hanging out. Our dog LOVES going to camp at Best Friends! When we pick him up he's worn out but in wonderful spirits. The staff truly cares, they're always excited to see Mayer and I feel completely comfortable and safe leaving him in their care! Our dog always comes home from here tired, as we paid for her to have play time and its very obvious she got it. The experience we have with our cat is similarly positive, and upon returning home each animal is given a report card which has been thoughtfully filled out. We couldn't have been happier with Best Friends and the amazing customer service they provide us with. We needed to get to a meeting in Bloomington at 9:00 AM and since they didn't open until 8:00 on Saturday Kevin told us he would be there around 7:30 to help us out. We arrived at 7:10 and much to our surprised he had already there and was willing to take our dogs early to help get us to Bloomington. We got to our meeting with time to spare and were thrilled when we came home this afternoon to very happy dogs! My dog has been here for day camp and grooming. After grooming she always comes home looking and smelling great. The groomer does a great job and my dog reallly seems to like her. We don't go to camp as much because my dog is not into playing with a lot of dogs anymore, but when she was younger she loved it. The camp is always clean. I've never seen poop or wet areas left uncleaned. Anytime I've been there the dogs are supervised and happy. read more

I took both of my dogs here to be groomed. The price is very reasonable, one of the best I've paid since moving to Indianapolis. I have tried a lot of different groomers here in Indy, but this one really did the best job for best price. They even allowed me to bring in my own special shampoo for one of my dogs to use. However, I don't think they clipped either of my dogs nails when they were groomed. This is usually something that is included in a grooming package, but maybe that is why it is cheaper, because it is not automatically included? Even then, I will be returning here the next time my dogs need groomed, I will just be sure to ask about the nail clipping. read more

Our pug loves it here! They are so loving and caring with her. She was a rescue so we are sensitive to leaving her with someone other than us since we have only had her for a year. We tried a couple of places that appeared to be more "fancy" but on the inside they were not the warm, loving staff inside that our dog needed. This was my first time boarding a cat, so I was nervous. They were friendly and easy to book. When I called to check on him, they were reassuring and could tell me details about him.
