My job just moved offices and I've passed by this cart a few times. Decided to stop by today just to see the prices and I almost fell over dead. $4 for a small fruit smoothie $5 for a large fruit smoothie $4 for a small fruit salad $6 for a large fruit salad There were SO many options and I didn't even look at 1/4 of them. My eyes got stuck on the Hawaiian Surprise smoothie (strawberry, mango, coconut, pineapple). Since the prices were so low I wasn't sure what I was going to get, but the second I took a sip I knew it was the real deal. SO GOOD. It was so good that I then ordered a small fruit salad. I counted FOURTEEN FRUITS in my salad! Cherry, blueberry, strawberry, honeydew, cantaloupe, grapefruit, pineapple, apple, mango, kiwi, watermelon, plum, grapes, and orange. The container was so stuffed that it wasn't even closed, the owner just wrapped a rubber band around it to keep it from coming apart. ALL OF THAT FOR 4 DOLL HAIRS?! The entire base of my salad was mango!!! I am SHOOK. And I am more shook that these prices have been the same since 2012, when they could have easily increased prices with the times. I am even TRIPLEY SHOOK that the honeydew was ripe and sweet, not hard, under ripe, and tasteless like how you find honeydew in other places. I just knew I needed something with orange in it, I needed some vitamin C in me! I went up to the counter and told her that and said I can have anything else in it but I just want Oranges. She asked if I cared if there were some greens in there, I said not at all! I ended up getting the $6 that looks like a 24 ounce....Wow it was so filling and delicious. I over heard a patron next to me ask the owner what all they put in the drinks and he said simply - fruit and water. She said her juice never tastes as good as they make it. (I think she might be doing it wrong because I have made plenty of juices at home and they taste as good..the trick is to add an apple and no matter what you have in there it will be sweet!) Anyways - this place is great, and the price is awesome because you would pay about $8-$10 for drinks that are similar at juice bars. read more

This cart is DEFINITELY a step above most others I seen or been to. First off, the front of the cart is see-through, so you can see all of the pre-cut fruit sitting in their bins. Not a brown spot on a single piece, and all of it looking like it's at the peak of freshness. I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted, so I'm currently unable to properly chew food. With this in mind I had to opt for a smoothie for lunch today. Sadly, another requirement of my oral surgery is that I can't eat anything with seeds for 6 weeks. Even with these restrictions, I was able to find something that I liked. The selection here is VAST! I got the Melon Madness smoothie (watermelon, cantaloupe, and honey dew). Smoothies tend to be a lot more difficult to get right than people think. Usually, they just end up tasting like a bunch of mashed up fruits. However, if absolute care is taken to properly proportion the ingredients, they can all mix together into a single cohesive flavor. This guy definitely knows what he's doing. As much as it pains me to say, this smoothie beats my previous crowned winner for smoothies (Kitchen Cafe in Jersey City). With my restricted diet I'll be back most days this week, but even after that, I'll be back for more. Once I'm able to actually eat food again, I'll update this based on the fruit salad. Thanks Yelpers! I am currently sipping on a delicious smoothie thanks to your guidance. I passed about 4 fruit smoothie carts before arriving here, and I'm glad I held out. I asked if I could make a modification- a number seven (mango, some other tropical fruits) with added coconut. The charming man behind the cart had to laugh- of course you can! "Everything's okay!" were his exact words. Just after me, a regular customer walked up and was greeted and asked if he wanted his regular #8. For $5 I got a large, delicious smoothie, much healthier (and cheaper) than the other options in this district of finance. Friendly service never hurts either. (Note: I'm not sure whether he used coconut milk or cream of coconut, like Coco Lopez, because it tastes a bit sweetened. I've worked in FiDi for close to 6 years and this in the ONLY truck I go to!! There was that one time when they were on vacation I tried another cart...WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY FRUIT SMOOTHIE LIFE. It was half water and half fruit. Back to Mary and Robinson, they have fresh fruit if you want it straight or blended. The smoothies are delicious, thick and filling. No additives like yogurt. The smoothies are so so good from here. Probably the best prices in Manhattan too. Everything is fresh and delicious and the couple that makes them are very nice, wonderful people. I've been getting a smoothie at lunch time every day for the last couple of weeks and every single one's been delicious. Absolutely phenomenal. I used to work right around the corner and I would frequent here an embarrassingly amount. This smoothie's are great. Price is fair. But the real shining star is the staff. Always friendly. It's uncanny. People have off days. Not every day can be great. I know, for myself, there are bad days that I just go through the motions and am not the most friendly. What on Earth came over Jeff for him to start ordering fruit, you ask? It's called a detox. I digress. If ordering a small fruit salad, you will find your plastic flip lid bursting at the seams, literally. The small already weighs over a pound and could be your lunch, unless you're a big eater. The large fruit salad gets you a round foil container with a plastic lid. It easily doubles as a meal replacement, I kid you not. If I had to pick one standout fruit, it would have to be the kiwi, hands down. It was perfectly ripe and uber sweet. Runner up goes to the pineapple. They also serve smoothies here with GNC add-ins. It is owned and operated by an Asian guy with his wife. They are friendly..and speak perfect English too!
