Note this is a review for the tiki pop-ip: the Lost Outpost. As a tiki enthusiast, this place was on my radar. Also, the social media marketing ads hit the right demographic. Good job guys. The place is easy to find. Parking lot is massive. I saw the tiki themed patio before the entrance, but it was empty so we proceeded inside. We walked in and were mesmerized. The decor is on point. Like Disney level (and I found out why later in the evening). No detail was left out. I could visit ten more times and would find new areas and details I missed. The interior design is simply next level. Seating choices and plentiful. From couches to tables to patio, you're covered. So the menu... Many tiki drinks to choose from, but we went with classics. The painkiller and mai tai were outstanding. No fake coconut taste and good quality runs. The zombie was a little off for me due to the juices I think. Love that they have a clear partnership with Kōloa rums from Hawaii. I really enjoy these rums! I researched food before arriving and saw there are no vegan options, so we didn't eat. Plenty of things for omnivores though. Kayla, our server, was so nice. She checked in frequently. So did the other waitress. They work as a team, so doubly great service. It was trivia night on Thursday. This wrapped up and the place cleared out. There is a patio with a fanciest animatronic volcano I have ever seen. Shows are at 9 and 9:45. Check out the videos of it. In between all of this, there are tropical birds singing, conversing and entertaining you from above. There's a fireplace place, a TV, axe throwing as well. So much fun to be had. As the last few stragglers in the place, we received the best gift from Gary, the owner. He offered to show us around. Gary and his son Cody have brought their visions to life. They road trip to pick up props and decor. They handcraft much of the statues and scenes in the place. Cody loves Disney (who doesn't) and leans into the immersive experience. The sky is the limit here. Most of the year is dedicated to the haunted house and Christmas wonderland. I cannot wait to visit these attractions. Well done gentlemen! read more

This is a very cool local spot. We went with a group, and we all enjoyed it. There are semi-private rooms and a main dining room type area. Various comfortable seating throughout and on the patio too. Super clean place. Obviously well managed. It's our first time here. I understand they recently remodeled. Walk around and explore the place. They've done a great job with the layout and decorations / artifacts. The menu is appetizers, tacos, and pizza. We all tried a little of everything. It was all delicious. Do check out their speciality drink menu. Several unique offerings. Service was very good and friendly too. Stop by and check it out. You'll be glad you did. Overall the experience part of Legendary Axe is a five! I read about their pop-up Tiki bar on Yelp under events and also saw it advertised on Instagram. We are huge fans of tiki bars and I typically miss out on pop-up events so we decided to go. It was a lot of fun. I love all of the theming. While it said it was like Indiana Jones, it was more Disney Tiki room and Disney Trader Sam's. We spoke to, I believe, the owner who said his son is a huge Disney fan, so if you are also a huge Disney fan, like us, this place is for you. We have been to the Florida and California Trader Sam's and this was just like it on our own backyard, so-to-speak. We took our child who loves the Tiki Room and she was mesmerized. We spent a lot of time appreciating all of the details in every area of the bar. I hear they might have a Christmas pop-up so I would love to see that they do next. The people working here were nice and very accommodating. My husband wanted a specific drink we had at Disney on a cruise and they tried their best to recreate it. They also made a nice mocktail for my child. She was super happy. Since this is more of a bar and axe throwing area, I would say food is more like a two, but still not bad. I would recommend people get somethings to eat. We had the chicken tacos. I did not actually try those, but I had the loaded huli huli chicken fries. They were not bad. I appreciate the attempt to give the food a Polynesian theme and you do not see huli huli in Michigan very often. It was more like nacho fries with chicken, but a very nice portion. We also got the pizza with spam. It was not bad. I would have loved more of a spicy cheese flavor and see more spam on there. The star of the food was the moco loco egg rolls. Those were delicious and should be on every menu that does a themed egg roll. It really hit the moco loco flavor. I could have eaten a huge plate of those. I had a couple cocktails. They were good, but could have been a bit stronger for the price. But again, I loved the theming. They were very reminiscent of the cocktails served at Disney Polynesian or Trader Sam's. And I am going to order cool themed drinks every time. We also loved watching the animatronic birds as we ate and drank. So, if you like fun and kitsch, this is a must do experience before the end of the summer. read more

We came in for the tiki bar popup room. We reserved a room for our group of 8 and enjoyed a fun puzzle room, great food and drinks. It was super fun, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They even have a fun volcano that erupts outside. A great way to spend an evening with friends! read more

I visited this establishment last year and was excited to return. A group of us were there opening night, it was spectacular with Christmas decor throughout! Shout out to our waitress, she was attentive with our large group and insured we had what we needed. I cannot forget to mention Gary, Gary returned my call for reservations prior to our visit and on arrival to the restaurant they set aside the Santa room for a large group- thank you for going above and beyond the groups expectations! Many of us ordered the pot pie, a couple pizzas, a pretzel board, truffle fries, all in which were delicious! I cannot forget to mention our festive libations they were uniquely titled-- absolutely no complaints! I would highly recommend having a small gathering in the near future there. there is axe throwing at this establishment, our group opted to look at the photo opportunities and enjoy our time in the Christmas theme atmosphere. We learned that they have brunch with Santa on the weekends and I can't wait to visit again soon!! read more

This review is of the Tiki pop up. Saw an ad on instagram that promised interactive elements and live effects that bring the island's mysteries to life with Interactive Shows, Themed Effects, Hidden Menu Items, and Interactive Challenges. We rented the captains room for eight girls. It was decorated but there was no place for food. So we spent most of our time outside the room at tables nearby. The staff didn't explain the interactive challenge, we were told everything we need is in a box. The clues didn't make sense so we never unlocked any hidden menu items. The tacos were awful. The pizza was decent. The potato skins were ok. Chicken tenders pretty good. Cocktails seemed watered down. Only cocktail I liked was the old fashioned with Woodward reserve. They did have the drinks come in these fun boxes, which was a cool effect. No one walked away impressed. Staff seemed bothered every time we asked for anything. read more

We went for the Christmas pop up and will never go back. When we got there we had to put our own tables together for seating. After 20 minutes I flag down the owner to get a server to come take our order. Food came quickly but then no one came back to check on us. We had to go up and ask for more cheese and then watched 2 waitresses stand at the end of the bar for 15 minutes on their phone never once brining what we requested. We went here last night and we had fun! It took me awhile to warm up with throwing the ax, been then once I got tired, I was done. It's very nice in there and the staff are very welcoming and friendly especially Adam. He helped us get started and showed us how to do it. The drinks are good there. Love the fireplace area. And the wall neon sign. It was too busy to get a picture of it. We didn't try the food because we were too full from dinner at home. We will definitely come back for sure! This was my first time axe throwing and I had a great time. As a last minute suggestion a friend and I decided to go to this location because the other locations were booked. It was a bit of a drive from my home but worth it. They have about 6 axe throwing stations in the front. You are given instructions on how to throw the axe and a few practice throws. There are a few games to choose from depending on your skill level and how long you want the game to last. The drinks were good but the flatbread I ordered tasted like it was straight out of the freezer. If I'm in the area I'll go back to this location. read more
