Bought a 1 hp spa air motor after researching what size I needed online. According to the paperwork in the box I actually needed a 1.5 hp pump . I reached out to them to just do a simple exchange and I would pay any difference if needed. They would only do a return which then I lose out on a 20% amount from what I paid. This was within just a few days of me receiving the product. So needless to say they made a free $45 dollars off of me . Whatever happened to any type of customer satisfaction smh. Needless to say I lost out and they made out, Buyer be ware and make sure you order the exact part you need so you don't lose out. I ordered a pair of Waterway-branded reducing couplers for my pool pump; Best Pool Shop sent two cheaply made, off brand units with different part numbers from the genuine Waterway Plastics couplers, and they were far too large on both ends. I called Waterway Plastics and confirmed that they had never used the part numbers that were on the fake couplers. Best Pool Shop argued the point but gave me an RMA,then charged me for shipping both ways. read more

Do not order from these people. I notified them before the item wad shipped that my new tank lid came with this item. Rather than pulling it from their orders thry let it ship. I returned it to them unopened witn a Retrun authorization. They charged me a restocking fee, not only on the item bit on the sales tax thst I paid on it as well. I have it I. My right mind to notify LA County of this unfair and illegal business practice. I should have received 100% of the sales tax back because they did not complete this sale. I made a note in my pool file to ALWAYS check pricing on this site. Filter elements for my Hayward filter were substantially less than any other sellers on the web. Delivery was fast too. After getting new elements I found the nut for the filter clamp was stripped. A local pool shop wanted to charge me $53 for just the nut - no springs, washers etc. I paid $17.99 on BedPoolshop and I had it in a couple days. Shipping was free on both orders. It's a rock company that sells knock-off pool supplies. There's a one man customer service who is rude and that will talk over you before you have a chance to answer the first question he asked you. Then he just hangs up on you. When you try to call back, he won't answer the phone. When you try to return the delivery because now you're scared to open it. They want to charge you 30 percent to put the unopened box back. Don't deal with this company as I said it's a rock company/ pool supplies. If that doesn't sound shady, I don't know what to tell you. Ordered online PoolRx cartridges. Delivered in USPS box (as they stated) with the cartridges out of their original box and wrapped in USPS bubble mailers. Box was too small for the shipment. I sent an email to the customer service: 1. There is no packaging to illustrate product manufacturer, validity of purchase or date of manufacture. I've purchased PoolRx in the past and they come in heavy duty plastic packaging. 2. The items were wrapped in USPS mailers, which I have never seen used for this purpose. As mentioned, I've purchased previously and they come in a nice plastic casing. 3. The box was too small to accommodate the item. It was stretched to the max. Simply unclear why a bigger box wasn't utilized. I did take a picture of the items as packaged. I was really not expecting service of this nature. I would sincerely appreciate knowing how this can be rectified as I am not convinced by the product itself or that it is even new, as is promised per your advertisement. The (edited) response was: We have shipped and delivered the correct products as advertised. If you don't like them, you may return them for a refund. Basically, take it or leave it. The part I ordered for my pool skimmer. Works great. Timely shipment however when the part came in the postman said he needed 3 more dollars for shipping because it was sent with not enough postage. If I didn't give him the required shipping charge he would have to take the part back to the post office. I dont know why it was sent with not enough postage. read more

Followed up on online order status via phone call. Very rude, evasive, and dismissive, customer service. They do not let you talk, they talk over you. Business owner of over 30 years here with 2 retail locations. If I talked to my customers the way they did me, I would be closed. If they were in Texas, I would bar them permanently from my retail locations. Very difficult to deal with. I am also a previous Training Specialist who trained many organizations on how to deal with Difficult Customers and made recommendations on employees who should not be retained with nasty attitudes and social skills. AVOID THIS SHOP!!! Extremely nasty customer service. At first they are very nice and friendly because they want your money period! But as soon as you ask them something they don't like they will turn around 180 degrees against you. This style of business is similar to corrupt Russian style business. Which they stand for, " I am your friend as long as you accept our rules of conduct, otherwise I will REVENG." I bought PentAir filters (4 Pack) from this shop for $339.96. I then found out that some other companies are selling the same product for only $169. As you can see that's more than 100% Mark up. I took the filters back and all I asked for was if it would be possible to price match with other companies? As soon as the owner saw the filters and heard about the price match, he suddenly changed his attitude and became rude, defensive and Revengeful. Instead of just simply saying "No" we don't do price match, he asked me what price match you are talking about?" he stated, " If you want to go that route, I will go ahead take the filters back and treat you differently." His final justification was that his filters have much better quality than others and he can mark up as much as he can.
