Placed a quote request on Yelp and was bombarded with responses. A lot of the companies requested more information; some didn't respond. Spoke to one guy who said he would send a quote and never did. Richard Bailey gets 10 stars for price, communication; recognizing the sense of urgency and the crew he hired to complete my move. He actually texted me right away; then we spoke briefly. Based on the conversation he gave me a verbal quote and booked my move for the next afternoon. His crew showed up on time. We're very professional; had great personalities and got me moved in two and a half hours. Nothing was broken either. Assembled my washer and dryer too. One of the crew members even gave me decorative advice as I moved from a 2300 sq. ft. house to a 1300 sq. ft. apartment and my couch didn't initially look right where I thought it should be! What was most frustrating wasn't just the incomplete move--it was the company's unwillingness to make things right after I brought the issues to their attention. I expected accountability from a national moving company and did not receive it. My advice: thoroughly inspect every inch of your home before signing anything or allowing the truck to leave. When I scheduled the move, I was told the crew would arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, but the main crew did not arrive until about 9:48 AM. The crew leader then claimed they were not scheduled to start until 10:00 AM, contradicting what I was told when booking. The crew was inefficient throughout the move. They handled furniture carelessly during disassembly and even asked us for tools because they lacked the necessary equipment. They also arrived late to the storage unit and claimed they got lost, causing further delays that made it seem as though time and charges were being unnecessarily extended. I raised these concerns with Rico, the owner. Although he adjusted the bill, I later learned through my husband that his employees were listening to our private conversation on speaker while they were on mute, which I found highly unprofessional. The crew leader also gave Rico inaccurate information, claiming he arrived earlier than he actually did and that they had trouble accessing the apartment complex. My daughter and son were present and know neither claim was true. Overall, there were too many inconsistencies, excuses, and instances of dishonesty. A simple one-bedroom move should not have taken as long as it did, especially compared to larger moves our family has completed. I chose this company based on its reviews, but my experience was awful. Due to the poor professionalism, communication, efficiency, and respect for the customer's time and money, I would not use this company again or recommend it to others.
