Moving is stressful and expensive. Any company that makes it easier gets five stars in my book. However, Bailey's Moving Company gets 10 stars! Placed a quote request on Yelp and was bombarded with responses. A lot of the companies requested more information; some didn't respond. Spoke to one guy who said he would send a quote and never did. Richard Bailey gets 10 stars for price, communication; recognizing the sense of urgency and the crew he hired to complete my move. He actually texted me right away; then we spoke briefly. Based on the conversation he gave me a verbal quote and booked my move for the next afternoon. His crew showed up on time. We're very professional; had great personalities and got me moved in two and a half hours. Nothing was broken either. Assembled my washer and dryer too. One of the crew members even gave me decorative advice as I moved from a 2300 sq. ft. house to a 1300 sq. ft. apartment and my couch didn't initially look right where I thought it should be! Let me say, he is not the best texter lol bbbbuuuttttt he is a man of his word. I told him what we needed and what needed to be done and it was without issue. I believe we discussed an 8 am move but they did show up a little later than expected but when they got there, they got straight to work. They used 3 movers and we moved from a 3rd floor apartment to a one story house and then moved items to a storage unit. These guys hustled, wrapped everything, and got things done. We had 3 guys and I'm happy I went with 3 instead of the basic 2 because there was a lot more stuff than it seemed like. In my case it was for moving and storage, * Was on site with the work crews 90% of the time at our home, * Seems to be a great guy, and I found him to be very communicative during move the process. I found Bailey's through Yelp, and I couldn't be happier with my moving experience with them! We moved from a 900 square foot apartment in San Antonio to a house in Dallas so easily with their help! The communication leading up to the move was minimal and very straightforward. Two years ago (in 2023), our daughter surprised us with the need to suddenly move to Fort Worth from San Antonio. After a brief search, we chose Bailey's Moving Co. Not sure what this guy is doing but it was too bizarre. I have to wonder where the 5-star reviews came from. I deleted the poor review because once he saw it then magically, I hear from him. So many excuses. "I tried called you several times but it kept ringing busy. (Um, no, I have been receiving phone calls without issue) Or I replied to the Yelp message. (Um, no, only after I did not hear after 2 days and messaged 'Guess not' and left a bad review) Or there must be something wrong with my phone. (Sure, let's go with that)" On and on. total BS. After I did not hear back from him before last night, I just said in Yelp message "guess not". Then miraculously after a bad review late yesterday I hear from him. I sent a message back to him just now telling him to forget it after our real phone call last night and he promised to get back to me with a scheduled day for in-home estimate. do know I sent a Yelp message on Tuesday. Call was Thursday evening. Today is Friday. "Richard, reviewing my call history there were absolutely no calls from you other than last night. Also, the above moving estimate info was left late yesterday after I left a bad review. Once again, you were to get back to me with a day and time for next week to schedule an in-home estimate. Never heard from you. Too much BS and excuses IMO. I deleted the review as a courtesy, but it is back on. I will be blocking you and as a very educated professional I can tell BS a mile away. I hate moving, but these guys make moving way less painful. These guys are five star and then some. Not a single scratch on anything even though they lugged 300 pound items up the stairs. They were flexible and kind when it turned out that we had too much stuff to transport in just one truckload. Where to start....If you need movers, this is the team you want. Richard, the owner, responded to my inquiry right away with all of the relevant information. We corresponded a couple of times and the appointment was set...no deposit no complications. The day of the move I was pleasantly surprised to see Richard had added a fourth mover, for free! The team loaded our 3br house into the truck in under two hours and had us unpacked less than an hour and a half later. Zero breakage, zero hassle. Everyone was super friendly and Richard showed up at the new house to check in personally while they unloaded. The rate was super reasonable and there were zero hidden charges (no fuel cost, etc). I try to support small businesses like this whenever possible. I don't want to move again anytime soon but if I have to, Richard will be the first and only call. After researching and receiving quotes from multiple movers, I came across Richard from Bailey's Moving Company. From the get go, it was a great experience. He gave me a no frills quote and I ended up paying the exact amount I was quoted for, no surprise or additional charges. Thankful most of stuff got from point A to point B for a reasonable price. But upon further inspection a few pieces were damaged. I haven't posted this since the items weren't that expensive but i still bought them with the money i work hard for. It's just upsetting unfortunately. I'll have to replace both which will end up costing me more which is terrible.****** ***Also one of the moving men who i gave my number to- ONLY because he told me to text him the address of my move for directions- texted me a week later saying "hey". I had no idea who this was so i responded "who is this" and he said "sorry i'm the one who made the move".... i blocked and deleted his number. Bailey's moving was reasonably priced. We had to pick up 1hr away from our destination. Fee was only $60 additional for being out of the area. The response time was longer than I'd like, but Richard always returned calls/texts by the next day.
