The owner is sweet old lady who has years of experience in alterations. Their price is very cheap compares to any other alteration place. The only downside they prefer cash only. I called before I went I was really nice asked how she was she said fine what do you need? I gave her a pass she sound old I asked if she could possibly help me with a dress it was a high slit. This woman immediately cut me off and said didn't I tell you to just bring it in I said huh?! I've never called you ma'am. I was a little on the fence about going but I said why not. I arrived she was helping a Latino man she was soooo nice to him I said ok she's nice. I said hello she said just a min sit down I said oh ok. She was sweet as pie to him. He left as they spoke Spanish now it's my turn she didn't pay me any attention her attention was towards the door another gentleman was walking up she immediately cuts me off mid request to speak to him. She then tells me I can't do this dress it would take to long remind you I needed it for June. She then said it was too much she would charge 200$ I said ok I can pay she then said no no no can't do it. Let me tell you she NEVER saw my dress she did not look at it not once she just cut me off and showed me to the door. She's a rude lady didn't even ask if the dress fit or anything I spent more time getting out my car than speaking to her. I believe she specialize in jeans and khakis she has poor customer service. Read the reviews and saw some people stated the lady who does alteration is rude. Well, I decided to come anyhow and give it a shot. Reviews were absolutely correct!! She is horrible!! She straight out told me she can not alter a simple outfit and didn't even see it on me to make a final decision. She told me, " well then you do it yourself, I am not going to it!" Don't even waste your time with this lady! If she can't do a simple fix than she is not great at what she does!! I went in with my wife as she wanted to see what it would cost to get a dress hemmed that she will be wearing for our daughters wedding. The young lady was polite and said we would have to wait for the seamstress to look at it. She came out, looked at the bottom of the dress, asked my wife if she wanted to keep the same steam at the bottom of the dress. My wife said yes and she said " Oh no, this is too much work" (as she threw the part of the dress she was holding on to the counter and walked away). Drove far to get to this place and when I got there she said she couldn't "do this material." The lady was rude about it and refused service after barely looking at the dress. My first experience with her was when I had purchased a used formal gown for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I needed a bit more "flex" room for dancing. She cleverly came up with an idea and executed it in record time. She used her own material that she had on hand. Her charge wasn't nearly what she is worth. This is the best place to go to for alterations!!! They fixed my wedding rehearsal outfit perfectly!! Also, after I lost weight I tried on my wedding dress and two weeks before my wedding I dress no longer fit!! I cried and was so stressed!! Worst service I have experienced at any tailor shop. I went to cut my jeans to size and put new hem. They sai1 week to 2 week turn around time , because they claim that they are very busy. But if I want sooner , like next day it would cost more. I mentioned that I want original hem, and lady said, "oh no! Take them somewhere else we don't do that". So if you are willing to pay more to get sooner they will put other jobs aside to squeeze your work in. Ridiculous! read more

It's been a while since I went there to try to get a dress altered but I think about it from time to time (that's how horrible the lady was) so I figured I'd finally write this review. She started pinning my dress and I told her I wanted it tighter than where the pins were placed. She immediately started taking out the pins and told me to go elsewhere because she wasn't going to do it. I was desperate because I had my newborn with me who was fussy and the last thing I wanted to do was drag my newborn to another seamstress so I tried to tell her, "oh I'm sorry just do it like you were then" she rudely told me no she wasn't gonna help me at all and walked away. After an almost epic meltdown at my SECOND bridesmaid dress not fitting at David's Bridal, I left so upset. The cost for alteration and rush was way too much and I just cried. I left and called my roommate (a 30+ year Chino native) and asked her if she knew of a good seamstress. She said, right away, "Yes, right behind 7-11 on Francis, only place I go." Back in March this year (2016), my husband and I flew in from overseas and needed his suit altered for his brother's wedding, which was less than three days away. We went to the highest Yelp!-rated alterations place near his parents' home, which was Best Stitch Tailor and were so thankful we did. The ladies accommodated our need to have his shirt, jacket, and pants tailored on a rush, and the fit looked spectacular on him. Just like you I looked around, read reviews and wondered if I would ever find such a place to get the job done . I had brought in a tan rare coat that needed to be tailored. Love this little place. I am a very thin person so if I buy almost anything it fits but just doesn't quite look just right. I had a pair of thick cotton cargo pants I use for hiking that looked soooo baggy on me I had to get them tailored. When I arrived the owner wasn't in but her daughter was very friendly and let me know when her mom would be in. I returned and her mom was just as sweet. I brought my bridesmaid dress here to get it taken out and remove the pockets. I ordered my dress online and their sizes were pretty off so when I received my dress in the mail, it didn't fit so I had to send it back and reorder a different size. The second dress was too small and I wouldn't have time to exchange that one as well so I brought it here to get it altered. I was worried because we were getting pretty close to the wedding, but they exceeded my expectations! Not only did the dress fit, it looked perfect! The pockets were removed and she put a stitch in the back of my dress to straighten out the sides where the pockets were, she took it out so it fit comfortably, and she hemmed it.
