My sister and her husband were in town for a few days and we past by it a couple times while showing them around town, so we figured we'd give them a try yesterday for lunch. Overall, everything food wise was amazing. I ordered Pad See Ew with tofu and extra broccoli and this was the first Thai place I have been to where I've said I wanted extra broccoli and they actually gave me EXTRA broccoli lol. And it was good!!! My sis and bro-in-law both got pad thai and they only had great things to say about it. I honestly was a little iffy about the customer service. There was one woman there that was very friendly and another that seemed too busy to be bothered. It took a while to get the check too....like we were sitting after our trash was taken away for a food 15-20 mins waiting for our check even after asking for it. I also say "trash" because everything was on paper plates, plastic to-go silverware and plastic cups. I understand that is due to COVID and I 100% respect that. It just got in the way of the experience of being able to sit down in a restaurant and enjoy a meal. I will pick my battles though, and I'm just glad they're doing what they can to keep themselves and other safe. But I love the location and if I have a hard time finding another thai places a little closer to me, I will definitely make this one my new go-to for ordering thai takeout! read more

Tried Best Thai for the first time for takeout and ordered Pad Kee Mow (spicy noodles) with beef and an order of egg rolls. While their food was good, I cannot give any higher rating than 3 stars because of value. My order was almost $30 including tip and that seemed high based on the size of the modest portion. There are competitive Thai restaurants in the area with food just as good that provide a little better value for the money. read more

Always consistently delicious! The service is great and you get your food fast. It doesn't matter if you dine in or take out, the food is always on point! I love the Pad Kee Mow with shrimp and my daughter likes hers with chicken. The egg rolls are also delicious! We eat here at least once a week and have NEVER been disappointed. Updated review: Now that it's not the holiday season, I come here regularly. So regularly that our waitress not only remembers us, but remembers our drink and food orders (including spice levels lol). One thing that really impressed me was that the waitress gave my mom a to go box before we got our food because my mom likes to put half her meal into a to go box prior to eating. Menu is the same as before. I still get the sesame chicken, and they shape whatever rice (white, brown, or friend) into a heart. My mom gets the tofu curry noodles, my brother gets the fried rice, and my other family members get some soup. If your food comes at different times, don't worry. Our waitress explained that it takes longer to prepare and make the soup compared to other menu options. Since Frisco Square is not super crowded right now, there is a lot of parking options, even outside of the parking garage. read more

I don't know who decided this place should be named Best Thai, but it's definitely on the least liked Thai restaurant list for me. Mainly, there was just a lot wrong with this place when we went. Maybe we went on an off day, but I highly doubt it. When we arrived, there was a group in front of us waiting for a table. And waiting. And waiting. We didn't see anyone who worked there. Finally someone came up and got it all situated. The restaurant had a very unpleasant smell. It smelled sort of like vomit. It made it hard to enjoy our time there. I wasn't the only one who thought this. There were five of us in our party, and we all said the same thing. Also, the restroom was disgusting. It did get reported to someone who worked there, so hopefully they cleaned it. As for the food, when we ordered, she gave us the heat scale. I ordered my yellow chicken curry at a 4 (which is very spicy and even reflects that on my receipt). One of my friends ordered her dish at a 0 because she absolutely hates heat in her dishes. Anyway, got my food... And wow... A 4? This was not spicy in the least. I could have served it to a small child, and they would have been able to eat it quickly. No heat whatsoever. My friend who got the 0? She was complaining about how spicy her dish was. I tried her dish, and to me... It was not spicy... But it was still hotter than my dish. How was a 0 packing more punch than a 4? That makes no sense. The food was OK. I enjoyed the taste, but it wasn't what I was wanting. I really wanted to enjoy it too, but it was lacking. Also, just a heads up... They charge you $1 extra fried rice and don't tell you that when you order. Hey, that would have been fine with me because that happens all the time at restaurants, but I didn't even get fried rice... I ended up with steamed rice. Overall, there are better rated Thai restaurants in the area, and I'd rather check one of those places out than come back here. read more

I ordered about 45 minutes before closing which was maybe an error but at this point I'm convinced this is how they cook it. I eat Thia food all the time and this place is 100% a no go. It was so hard I had to use a butter knife to cut through it. Sticky rice is usually soft and moist, not hard. Obviously this was old rice use. it's pretty expensive for the poor quality. First time ordering from Best Thai. And it is sadly the last. This is one of those reviews where having a no star choice would be appropriate. In thinking back to what we ate, there is not one positive thing I can say about their food. Well hold on a sec. Their jasmine rice was good. Pad with chicken & tofu, spicy. That is what husband ordered. It's one of his favorites but this, this pathetic take on Pad Thai was one of the worst. The chicken was dry, the noodles were dry, there was hardly any sauce in the dish. It definitely did not taste like Pad Thai. If my memory serves me correct my husband has never not saved his leftovers. This time, the first time he threw it away. You know it's bad when my bear who eats anything doesn't eat this. Sesame Chicken w/ Jasmine rice. What I ordered. I should have stopped after the first bite. It would have been the right thing to do. I don't remember if sesame chicken is supposed to be sweet but man we are talking sweeter than a candy bar. Seriously it was so sweet I couldn't eat it. I was pleasantly surprised!! I usually order 'Pad Kee Mow' with beef extra spicy. I was underwhelmed with the spicy factor (I love spicy) and was expecting HOT since I chose the '5 level spice'. It still was DELICIOUS!! I will say for the price there is not enough food and on the more expensive end for a meal ($16). I was expecting to at least have enough for 2 servings. The best Thai food in the Dallas Metroplex! Definitely not the best Thai food I've ever had, but for Texas, it's pretty good. We live in the neighborhood, so it's nice when we call to place a pick up order, that they have our number/order saved in their system! As creatures of habit, that makes things a lot easier. We have been coming for 10 + year and food is always great. One little annoyance is their stinginess with silverware. Literally all they ever give is a fork and pieces of meat are too big for that plus and when asking they always bring one knife so the entire table shares, lol. read more

Awesome restaurant. The rating really should be higher overall, but there are a bunch of boomers on here complaining about paper plates and plastic forks during covid season. I just stopped in for the first time and had the best hot and sour soup of my life. The curry options are excellent and the Pad Thai was pretty great too. Ordered our favorite yellow curry - it was perfect potatoes, chicken, peppers, carrots, onions-- just tapping this out wants me to order more.
