This is a fantastic place to stay. It's charming as heck. All the rooms are custom designed and significantly different. The foods really good and the staff is incredibly polite and helpful. I'll definitely come back! The only issue I had was with our room which had a unique French door feature. The doors served no purpose and got in the way of the nightstand access. They made the room feel cluttered and smaller. We'll just request a different room next time. Other than that minor issue, everything was great!

They really go above and beyond! 1st time here but I am blown away by the customer service. From the shuttle driver to the front desk, who I found out later were brothers, to the very nice room (much better than expected), to the house keepers, everyone was professional, helpful, considerate, respectful, and just simply amazing! Thank you for everything!!!

Super duper cute hotel. Has a B&B atmosphere. Staff are nice. It's very quiet. I slept like a baby. The breakfast area is small but cute. They require reservations for breakfast and they can bring it to your room. Coffee is in your room...it's ample. And they have complimentary water and snacks in the dining area. Shuttle service is great. The max time we had to wait is 5 min. Would definitely recommend! Stay here!

Pretty, unique, cozy and super clean hotel. Amazing delicious breakfast, the best hotel breakfast that I have ever had. Super fast WiFi. Nice staff. So pleasant and nice that you feel you are just at home.

Things you need to know... Quaint hotel/B&B that is out of the center of town on the road to Mendenhall glacier. They have shuttles to get you around. The food is fine but nothing to write home about. For me, The plus was sleeping on one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. (It was the great balance of soft/firm). And, the room had character and was large (with a love seat, fringe, table, chairs). The negative was the bathroom. A very deep jacuzzi tub doubled as the shower - difficult to enter and exit. AND it was open to the rest of the room. Kind of awkward. The separate room with the toilet was the size of an airplane lavatory but with thinner walls. I would definitely recommend this place but might try a room other than 207.

Victorian B and B with all the essential amenities. Feather beds and Jacuzzi tubs in each room. You can't go wrong here. Each room is a sweet suite. They have a full menu restaurant here as well.

First time visit to Juneau in March. Chose to stay here due to the great reviews. I can say- they were all correct! Adorable, CLEAN and spacious room with a connecting bathroom and wonderful "fireplace" (Heater with digital fire). After hiking in the snow, coming back to this room to warm up and rest/ recover was just perfect. The free breakfast was delicious and filling. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

The ship was the epitome of modern luxury and the port cities catered to all the tourists needs. But at some point, I needed to get a little down and dirty, to get away from the crowds of visitors. To me, Alaska is still frontier, and I needed to experience just a taste of it. From the recommendation of a grizzled cruise staff, my wife & I found ourselves at the Alaskan Hotel and Bar, enjoying a pint and taking in small piece of history. While a few tourists did wander in, most of the patrons seemed local and knew each other and the staff. We watched from the far end of the bar and soaked in the atmosphere while enjoying our beers. Though there was a single acoustic guitarist playing from the stage, the bar was mostly still and quiet, a welcome respite from the throngs of outsiders on the street, veering in and out of the jewelry stores and tacky souvenir shops. Both of us needed this time to recharge, to enjoy a different side of Alaska than we'd seen, to be around normal people again. Does this bar have all the amenities? Are fancy cocktails the standard fair? Is the furniture new? All those answers are no. But the drinks are strong and the bathrooms are clean. And for a tired tourist, this is the most welcome sight.

The convenience of the location simply does not outweigh the poor hospitality and lack of customer care we experienced. I normally enjoy supporting small independent businesses like this one, but this stay has made me seriously rethink where I choose to spend my money going forward. Having stayed in both luxury hotels and unique properties with character, I know that basic professionalism and genuine guest care should be standard regardless of price or style. Disliked · Upon our arrival to this property we made our way to our room only to discover it was not the Family Loft with two queen beds we had specifically booked. Instead, we were given a room with one queen bed and a pull-out couch. When I returned to the front desk, I was told the booked room was occupied by a long-term tenant and unavailable. While I understand availability issues can arise, the hotel had been in direct contact with me through the booking platform's messaging system prior to our arrival and never mentioned this problem. It appeared they chose not to inform us, likely to prevent us from canceling. The pull-out couch was in poor condition, making it impossible for our adult family member to get a decent night's sleep. The queen bed was also uncomfortable, with our feet elevated in an awkward position. The window was broken and OPEN at least 2 inches. We did not expect a luxury resort, but we did expect the room type we reserved. Most concerning was the staff's response. Rather than showing empathy or offering solutions, they became defensive, blaming the booking company and stating the room had been unavailable for weeks. Since I booked December 6th, this lack of notification wasted our time and created unnecessary inconvenience. I politely requested compensation for just one night due to the inconvenience, which I believe was more than reasonable. Unfortunately, the hotel made no effort to resolve the situation or make things right despite my several follow-ups. Prospective guests should be aware: while the location may seem convenient, the poor communication, room inaccuracies, and indifferent customer service made this a frustrating experience we would not repeat. To make matters worse, the hotel was crazy loud until 3am due to the bar adjacent to the property, making rest nearly impossible. We will be visiting Juneau several times a year in the coming years with August 2026 being our next stay, sadly we cannot support this small business.

It has zero A/C and we booked the ocean view room because we wanted a good view. However, we were not told that with no A/C that the room would be 85+ degrees inside with the fans going. It was 93 degrees when we first arrived in the room. It felt better outside than inside. We had an oscillating fan and that was it. I went down the hall and took a box fan that was being used for the stairwell and put it in our room. DO NOT STAY HERE! I don't know how this is not a safety or health hazard. Marriott should be ashamed to have this as part of their line. Also, definitely DO NOT pay $20 for the breakfast buffet. It is cold eggs, lukewarm bacon and sausage and potatoes that are like rocks.

The location is incredibly convenient--just minutes from the Juneau International Airport and with easy access to all the main roads. Whether you're coming in for sightseeing, business, or outdoor activities, this hotel serves as a perfect hub. We drove by the Super 8 and the Wyndham Travel Lodge and each looked sketchy. Juneau doesn't have a wide selection of hotels, and Aspen Suites clearly sets itself apart. It was, by far, the cleanest and friendliest property we encountered. The rooms are well-maintained, and the staff does an excellent job keeping everything spotless. One of the big advantages is that the hotel offers air conditioning--something not all places in Juneau have, which can be a big plus during the warmer months. Also the Kitchenette allowed us to shop for food and save on "eating out". The hotel also features a large, clean, and well-equipped laundry room, which is incredibly useful if you're on an extended trip or coming back from Alaskan adventures in need of fresh clothes. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, and while the building has three floors, there are elevators and multiple luggage carts available to make check-in and check-out smooth and efficient. If you're visiting Juneau, I highly recommend considering a suite at Aspen. The extra space and amenities make a big difference, especially after a day of exploring. Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, convenience, and great service--all at a very reasonable value.
