Stained bedskirt. You could see edges of stain without moving mattress. They went even farther inside.

Needed a last minute place to stay in St. George. The hotel is a bit dated and could use some upgrades. The woman who checked me in was wonderful. She was helpful and very cheery. She is exactly what you want when checking you in. When I got to the room, it didn't look like it was cleaned 100% but wasn't anything you needed to get a room switched for You could see some leftover small crumbs on the floor (could have been poor vacuum function) vents had dust and there was a cobweb in one corner. The beds were not anything luxurious but the sheets were clean and so was the bathroom. The bed skirt was stained and the AC unit at least in our room was pretty loud (which does not bother me since I need noise to sleep). The plugs between the beds were not working which we reported upon departure. The tv is huge and you have decent options for channels and streaming. I went to the free breakfast and the variety is your standard free hotel breakfast. The kitchen lady seemed a bit rude. There was a little boy who was looking at his options in the fridge and she closed the door on him while he was standing there. The milk was spoiled (within expiration date). We told the lady in the kitchen and all she said was well we just got that. It took her a while before she took the milks out of the fridge. Not sure if anyone else took any before she removed them. Overall, would not stay again with family but if I had a good price with my work discount again I would stay solo

pretty curtains and most importantly.. coffee.!

very helpful front desk. quick check in. looking forward to climbing into bed and zonking out.. and then waking up for a swim and breakfast before the day starts! close to everything easy access off the interstate was a huge bonus!

Busted lock on Room 101 where couple and their dog needed to be extracted after they broke their door lock from the inside of the room.

We have stayed at many Marriott properties over the years, but this was our first while traveling with our pet golden-doodle. Usually, we get our accommodation requests granted - high-floor, end of the hallway, extra towels, extra pillows which is almost always incredibly quiet and very relaxing experience. This trip we discovered that traveling with a pet and with points automatically places you in the zoo portion of the hotel on the first floor. We were surrounded by wild action all throughout the night in a non-stop safari adventure. We were neighbors to some families with younger kids which is very understandable, my kids were young once and they occasionally bumped into the walls or didn't tiptoe back to bed after using the bathroom. Usually kids have worn themselves out by 9PM and are fast asleep by 10PM and so if you run out the clock there isn't really an issue here. We travel with a white noise machine so most of the hotel background noise gets drowned out by that. Around 11PM we were awoken to commotion in the hallway, some loud adult voices, and some very loud pounding noises that shook the walls of the room. When we got up to check and see what was going on in the hall we found 2 maintenance workers breaking down the door of the room next door. Apparently, the couple and their dog staying in that room broke the locking mechanism on their door and were unable to open the door from the inside and with no other safe alternative, the head of maintenance was extracting the guests. Once the door lock was busted open by the badass maintenance dude, the hotel staff loaded the couples belongings onto a cart, and escorted them off to a new empty room. Thinking the excitement was over for the night, we then got to lay in bed while listening to what sounded like thunder. After about an hour, we realized it couldn't be thunder lasting that intensely for that long, and the large 4th of July fireworks displays were over by that time of the night. Perhaps it was a 500 lbs. gorilla in the room above us? It sounded as though the animal was jumping from the bed, stomping to the bathroom, stomping back to the bed, pausing for a moment on the bed and then repeating the process until about 3AM. Eventually the beast must have tired itself because it was quiet bliss until 7AM when the activity started back up again. One would think that the owners of the animal would have the good sense to not leave an animal in the room by itself, especially on the 4th of July when many animals get spooked, but I cannot think of another reason why the animal owners would allow the animal to romp around. There are a lot of self-centered and inconsiderate people in this world so I wouldn't put it past someone to leave their pet in the room unattended despite it being against the hotel pet policy. Perhaps I should be a bit more patient with others as there are a lot of people here that have medical issues and are heavily medicated. So I could also envision a guest strapped to their CPAP for the night and heavily medicated on Ambien, complexity unaware that their animal is bouncing off the walls of the room round them. Other than this hotel stay, we had a great time in St. George and got to visit with some old friends. The hotel staff was very friendly, but the people visiting St. George are pretty strange as far as Marriott guests go. The badass maintenance dude also deserves a raise for rescuing that couple from their room at 11PM and he still showed up to work the next morning at 8AM to explain to the boss-lady what happened to the door lock of the room.

PET FRIENDLY!! They have a little area with Doggie pick up bags and designated pet rooms are clean and odor free. Great customer service Heidi was friendly and so helpful. So nice to have a safe place to stop while traveling with our fur baby.

Let me start off by saying the hotel is clean, the rooms are large , and the location is good. It is close to downtown and to hiking/biking. Also the two restaurants nearby, the Rib and Chop House and Cracker Barrel are both excellent. Our problem was with our check in experience and the way our reservation was handled. The Asst Mgr, Karen P. Who was working the front desk couldn't find our reservation and was very uncooperative in resolving the situation. She claimed that Booking.com didn't send it to them, even though I showed her a confirmation copy on my phone. She said there was nothing she could do . We asked her is she had a room in case we couldn't get our reservation resolved, and she said she would give us a King room at $169,but would not honor the price , $129, and any billing problem would be ours to resolve. I asked her if there was a number we could call and She then gave me a number to call , which was the wrong number, however Expedia got me to the right number. I spoke with Casey at booking.com who found my reservation and then gave me a confirmation number to give Karen. She then "found" our reservation and checked us in, gave us a snippy "sorry for the confusion " and sent us on our way. By now it had been 30 minutes. If it wasn't for Casey at Booking.com she would have turned us away. So overall, our unhappiness came with the way we were handled as customers. It was handled so poorly on her part.

There are restaurants in every direction and easy to get to. You definitely have to drive...the road isn't really walkable and especially in the dead of summer. There is ample parking all the way around the building and multiple exit doors and elevators at each end. This BW has clearly been renovated. The lobby was impeccably decorated and had an open coffee/tea bar and ice cold water with fruit added. There is also a well stocked market right near the front desk. When we checked in we got the floor I requested and the front desk person told us all about the amenities including a daily free happy hour in the building across from the lobby. We made our way to our room and got settled in. The room felt and smelled clean. The room was just what I wanted with two queen beds and an AC unit that worked to perfection. I love when there are multiple lamps around with different brightness settings including on the nightstand. The room was also equipped with a wet bar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Bathroom was stocked with loads of towels which is always preferred. We did check out the happy hour which was pretty good and yes included cocktails. If you stay don't skip it! The beds were super comfortable and I slept like a dog on a log. We got up early and departed. Our one night stay was just what we needed! Thank you, BW Abbey Inn!

I was in St. George celebrating my birthday with my family, so having a smooth, stress-free stay was so important to me. Daniel completely exceeded my expectations....his customer service is top-notch, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He single-handedly turned our trip into a five-star weekend! A few highlights from our stay: * The Breakfast: Really solid overall, but the biscuits and gravy deserve a special shoutout. Most hotel continental breakfasts serve bland gravy, but this one had the perfect amount of pepper and spice. I loved it! * The Rooms & Atmosphere: Clean, fresh, comfortable, and felt very safe. We were treated to a beautiful view of the mountains right from our room. * Pet Friendly: They treated my little Maltipoo like royalty! Finding places that truly welcome pets can be tricky, so this meant the world to us. If you are heading to St. George, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Huge thank you to Daniel and the rest of the La Quinta staff for an amazing birthday weekend. We will definitely be back!

So...I decided to go with my old faithful La Quinta...and let me tell you...this place is good! Lots of spaces in the lobby to hang out. It has a pool and a well stocked little snack store. The staff is nice. They have a breakfast and you know it looked typical. Breakfast ends at 10 but it was nearly check out time (11am) and the food was still out at around 10:30. I asked if I was able to eat since it was still set up and the staff was cleaning up. Everything looked so fresh. I have to say this was the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. I mean, if I had gone to a breakfast restaurant that was sit down and I was served this plate. I would've happily paid for it. The potatoes were nice and spicy but not hot, the eggs were seasoned. The muffin wasn't dried out at all. There was also sausage bacon, a waffle station, bagels, biscuits, bread to toast, selection of juices and coffees. There was cereal. It was just really good. My room was clean and smelled good. I was having a really bad vacation my car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Anyway my situation requires me to stay another night overnight in St. George next week so I will absolutely be staying here...it was the breakfast that really sealed the deal. I was going to give this a five anyway even without the breakfast included, but that put it over the top. When I got to the front desk, the lady who was working, asked me if I had any special requests and I said yes I would like a room that doesn't have anyone next-door to it and close to an elevator and she was so accommodating and she found me the perfect room. I was checked in around 9pm.

The room was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, and a bright, clean bathroom. You can tell they recently renovated because everything looked fresh and updated. I went back downstairs to ask about the chargers on the side of the building and how much they cost. They told me it was complimentary. No cost at all. I plugged in at 40 percent and woke up to a full charge at 100 percent. That alone made my morning. Breakfast the next day was another pleasant surprise. The ladies running the breakfast area were so nice, even when my daughter got a little too excited with the sprinkles for her waffle. They even had a sign saying they could adjust food for dietary needs. The whole setup was clean and welcoming. They also have a great little snack shop, and again the front desk staff stood out. Overall, it took close to 20-25 minutes just to see an attendant and get checked into the room. I stay at a lot of IHG hotels and have some level of membership with them, and at most locations it's pretty common to at least be greeted warmly or offered something simple like points or water bottles.
