This is a wonderful hotel to stay in. I was here for two nights and am very happy I picked this hotel. The room was big and bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lounge was fun to hang out in and the breakfast had omelets to order for the free breakfast. I definitely recommend this hotel. Don't let the remodeling scare you off. Hotwire says it's 3-star but I disagree. The hotel itself is OK, but it's not clean enough for that. And the feeling you get in this place is just ... not right. Maybe because of the location, I don't know. I stayed here twice, and the time I was in the other building (the one with fitness center and laundry room) I had a cleaner room. Their facilities are good, and the front desk is friendly and available. Their fitness center is much better than I thought, surprisingly. Wireless internet can be spotty and the wired one sometimes just doesn't work. I highly prefer to get a better one, but don't mind here if price is right. Just will ask them to come clean the room again! read more

A great hotel to stay in! Despite the proximity to the freeway our room was quiet and well insulated from our neighbors. We got a room with a King bed instead of two queens. The King bed was VERY comfortable, as were the pillows. No problems sleeping here. Free FAST Wi-Fi as well. The breakfast was large and buffet style. Cost was reasonable for the amenities provided. Close to shopping, good restaurants and more. Definitely recommended! read more

I'm really surprised with the reviews here. This is one of the few more affordable hotels in the area. They are currently under construction, so to all the reviews that say this hotel needs to be updated.... it's pretty obvious they are in the middle of a remodel! I stay at this property every 6-8 weeks, and can say that this property is very consistent in what they offer. Each room comes with 2 water bottles, your average amenities that would be included with any Best Western, coffee, glass cups, and a comfortable bed. They have one of the best breakfasts with a great selection of options. It's not a typical cheap hotel breakfast with powdered eggs. They have bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, French toast, hash browns, breakfast casserole, fruits, wrapped pastries, cereals, juice/coffee, and I'm sure I'm missing a few things. They also have a really nice Managers reception that they typically forget to tell you about unless you look at your check in paper. This would be more appropriate to call it a dinner. The selection seems to vary, but on my last visit included chicken wings (very tasty!), pizza, fries, fried zucchini, spaghetti, nachos, salad, crackers and cheese, and fruit. Beer and wine is also included. Unlike other hotels that have an early reception, there's goes from 5-8 so you can actually enjoy it! Absolutely amazing experience from check in to check out. This property specifically offers complementary dinner and happy hour with included bottled beer. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the staff, from reception to housekeeping to bartenders/kitchen staff to the OWNER we some of the truly warmest, welcoming people I have ever experienced in a hotel staff. I would gladly deal with California highway traffic hours each way to stay at this location specifically. 12/10 would stay again no questions asked. read more

I had a few friends stay here for an extended amount of time, and it being close I decided to try it out. I was here last night. I caught the Shark's game! WOO HOO WE WON! I also had some beers, and a a lil sumpin sumpin... HA - and the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, the balcony was clean. I am a smoker but there is nothing I hate more than smoking rooms in hotels. They always have a musty stale smoke smell to them. The last room they had was a smoking room, I took it wearily and was surprised to find that it didn't stink when I cam in. Yay - that's a whole star in itself. My husband and I stayed here during my sister's wedding. The room we had was actually pretty decent except for the funky smell that lasted for the first 5 seconds every time we entered. This was a nice hotel for the price. We stayed for a 3 day weekend and we were happy with it. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. No problems with the tv or wifi. They offered us (Starbucks) coffee and fresh cookies when we checked in, and the free breakfast was decent. The pool area was clean and my kid had a good time playing in it. Also the front desk guys were very nice and attentive, which is a huge plus. I will definitely be back during my next trip to the San Jose area. read more

Ok, I was apprehensive, because it was right next to the freeway, behind a liquor store, and had construction out front. But, I had to decide, as it was last minute. The staff were very friendly, and accommodating. The hotel was clean, and remodeled. My room had a small patio with a table and chairs overlooking the courtyard. The restaurant offers a (not fancy), but, a free happy hour with wine and beer, and lots of choices of munchie food. The breakfast had a lot of options, as well. I would definitely recommend staying here. read more

Stayed three nights. Booked 2 rooms. Nice hotel and we liked morning breakfast. Not happy with room cleaning service. They will knock on the door even when put a sign not to disturb. In the water tank of the coffee pot there was coffee, yes coffee in the water tank. I had to run twice with just water to clean it out. Second day Coffee pot was not cleaned. In our second room coffee pot was missing on the second day. Coffee bags were missing. No coffee cups on second day. One day you will get conditioner the second day you may not. I have stayed in cheaper hotels. They always make sure bathroom is stocked correctly everyday. I don't know how hotwire ranked it a 3 star. read more

This hotel does not look like much from the outside. But inside is completely remodeled and very very nice. It's difficult to find an affordable hotel in Silicon Valley but this one definitely fits the bill. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They have this amazing happy hour from 5 to 8 with all kinds of food and free beer and wine. It's a fun party atmosphere where everyone is welcome. My room was very nice completely remodeled. The only downside is they're still under construction so the entry is a little bit weird and the elevator doesn't seem to work it's all taped off with construction tape. I definitely plan stay here again anytime I need to spend the night for work it's a great price for a nice clean room friendly people and an awesome happy hour. read more

The owner is AMZAZING! Rooms ok but loud. I had been staying here for a couple years every couple weeks for work. One time I had a President from my company in from Switzerland and he had someone else clothes hanging on the window dressings because the room wasn't cleaned!!!!!!!! Didn't make me look good in front of him suggesting this hotel to stay in. Then another time the Manager Susan, if that's what you want to call her, She makes it feel like you are staying in the Bates Motel. She's defiantly not all up there in the head. Stayed there with my family recently in April and I have to say it was a horror experience. Got there any mediately the music Started next door. We contacted the front desk to let staff know and they did nothing about it the loud music screaming and yelling and banging on the wall continued until 2 in the morning. We had to have a staff member physically come into our hotel room because he wasn't doing anything about it. I contacted someone the following morning to complain they said that they would have a manager reach me to rectify the situation no one ever did. I emailed someone to try and rectify the situation and no one ever contacted me. Do not stay here it will ruin your night just like it ruined my vacation with my family. HORRIBLE!!!! read more

When you check out a three star room you'll get a three star review. The whole place needs to be renovated. The hall to the room carpet is all worn and torn. The bathroom is awful because both the wash basin and the bathtub were plugged, the water would rise quickly when using the water. Besides, what's most annoying is that the front desk is VERY RUDE and he LIED several times. Originally, he said we could stay till 13:30, so that we didn't pack before 12:30. He knocked my door before 12:00 and repeated that we needed to leave before 13:30. Half an hour later, he told us to leave, and called the police simultaneously! This is ridiculous! We said that we would pack the luggage and leave before 13:30 because this was what he told us, then he lied to the police that he told us to leave at 12:30! And they asked us to keep the door open while I was changing the clothes. (Seems like it happens very often according to the police. ) read more

I stayed a few months ago. They were in construction so we had to use a side entrance. It was inconvenient. The tub was nice. I did have trouble with the wifi and the key but it was solved when I asked the innkeeper. But it wasn't a much memorable place. read more

Arrived at the hotel around 2:45pm and they couldn't find the reservation even with the confirmation number and the verification that the room had been prepaid. Even when they were fax the confirmation from higher up of the payment for the room refuse to accommodate in anyway and also indicated that they didn't have room rooms ready because they still have you finished cleaning them at 3:15pm. Horrible experience. Cancelled and booked with a different hotel. Will never return. read more

this hotel gets no stars from me and this is why ..... when i entered the room it was actually clean spacious and smelled ok i layed in bed and out of the blue i saw a really tiny red BUG I i flicked it off not paying it any mind maybe after an hour or two i see another one which makes me then relize that ishould check the bed sooooo i get up pull back the covers and what do i see small tiny red bugs and a few black flat round disgusting BED BUGS YUCK YUCK YUCKKKKKK so itake pictures of course and call the front desksomeone comes up and tells me to grab all my things so we can work something out they tell me theyre goin to check me into another room ummmm no i just want my money back but no they cant refund me because only managers are allowed to do so and she woulnt be there until 6am so i reluntently agreed to stay in another room on a diff floor when i walk in to the room it stinks its smaller and the bed isnt even the same size i asked if theyd ever had the same problem before and the guy answers "no never maybe the maid cleaned the room with THE DOOR OR WINDOW OPEN" what did that have to do with anything i DO NOT KNOW i want to be rembursed for my stay and for a new hair do since i just got my hair done and now i have to wash it read more

Needing a hotel for one night after a very late flight from Boston, I used Hotwire to locate a place in Milpitas. We ended up getting a good deal at this Best Western. This two-story hotel has no elevators, so we had to walk our luggage up one flight. Not so terrible. The room was clean, had Pantene hair products, a microwave, fridge, and decent-sized TV, as well as a firm mattress with pillow top. The bed was high off the ground, and since I'm 5'2", I could have used a foot stool. The sheets seemed clean but I like the smell of chlorine and couldn't detect any. WiFi in the room was a bonus, as was the private balcony. The shower head was very sensitive, so a slight turn of the handle to make the water warmer almost resulted in a scalding. The stay included a free continental breakfast, with scrambled eggs, sausages, some donuts and pastries, cereal and coffee. Eh. We didn't partake. I prefer some of the other hotels we have stayed at in Milpitas, but this place was worth 2.5 to 3 stars even though it was by a major highway. Not sure I'd stay here for more than a night, but it was perfect for a late arrival and early departure. read more

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Stayed 1 night while attending a preseason football game. The bed was extremely comfortable and is a true king size. Bathroom was updated and clean. The breakfast was out of this world. Breakfast was eggs, bacon, ham, hash browns, waffles, pineapples, strawberries, danishes, toast, juices, coffees, soda machine, yogurts & muffins. Would recommend this hotel to everyone! My hubby said he just wants to come stay again with no other plans. They also have free beer/wine/appetizers Monday-Thursday from 5-7pm. This BW Hotel is hidden..never knew it was there after all the drives I made to Milpitas..LOL! Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were representably clean. They provided great Breakfast every morning and have reception after 5pm which is surprisingly good...almost Dinner like! We saved money from going out for Dinner. Construction is taking place but it didn't bother us from any noise. Glad they are remodeling to make the Hotel Better..just parking was a slight hassle because of all the construction trucks taking up all the parking space. I'm a BW Hotel fan now! read more

*Parents stayed here while visiting* Friendly staff, clean, yummy breakfast, decent view, good safe location. They let them switch rooms so they could have a better view. Room 115 is spotlessly clean except for a couple of mildew spots in the caulking of the bathtub. A 10 on clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Large super clean bathroom. Soft great towels. Large sharp tv. Great happy hour from 5-8 pm mon-thurs. free beer & wine for 3 hours. Salad, spaghetti, chicken wings, cheese and crackers & more. Nice. Free wonderful buffet breakfast French toast, bacon, scrambled eggs and much more. They are renovating. Things are tight during construction. First floor rooms are done and nice. 2nd floor next. I am actually staying here right now and just had to write a review. The room is clean and nice with a balcony to relax or work on. The bed is comfortable and the FREE happy hour is amazing! Tonight it was a delicious homemade taco bar, cheese and veggies, and fresh guacamole, salsa, and chips....topped off with complimentary wine or beer!! Honestly it was a pleasant surprise with some of the friendliest staff I have encountered. I stayed in another Best Western during another work trip and almost canceled this stay because of how bad that one was and I am so glad I didn't! read more
