I stop here for the night often and always greeted like family. Zack is usually on duty and I can't say enough good things about him. He should be at the top of your list for promotion and pay raises! Kathy and honestly, the rest of the staff are amazing. Great breakfast and interactive breakfast crew eases me before a long drive home. This weekend I stayed over Friday nigh, but broke down 6 miles into my trip home after departing the hotel. I called and Kathy ensured me another room would be ready for me and gave me information on how to get back to the hotel. Not an easy thing in Cle Elum. When I arrived, it was like I never left. Amazing staff, clean rooms (thanks housekeeping!), and a wonderful community. Very well done! read more

We usually enjoy our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately this week when we checked in we were told the internet was down. Okay, fine. It happens. We're now over three days in and it's still not fixed, and from what we can tell there is no solution in sight. This is a real problem and hotel management should be doing everything it can to solve it. read more

We stayed here and the exercise room was small and treadmill not working, washing machine not working and internet not working. Very frustrating. No real answer as to why. The hotel is clean and nice but the employees stand outside smoking. We were frustrated because the Internet was not working the whole time we stayed. We don't usually stay at Best Western Hotels, but this was one of the only places closest to our intended daily recreational area that had vacancy for the dates we needed. We ultimately spent two nights here. Some of the other reasons we picked this hotel was for its pool (indoor) and continental breakfast, both of which exceeded our expectations. For breakfast, they had bagels/muffins/toast, coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh fruit (pineapple, melon, blueberries, and raspberries), scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, fried potatoes, gravy, cereal, waffles, milk and juice (apple/orange). The pool (indoor, with a 'deep' end of 5 ft) was a decent size but with a tiny hot tub and included a separate, climate-controlled workout room. For the most part, our second floor room provided a serviceable stay. The bathroom shower was good in terms of its luxurious appearance (large marble tiles) and water pressure, but there were momentary 'flushes' of cooler water interrupting the hot water. Our 'bathroom' sink (separate from the bathroom) was clogged and drained slowly. The freezer compartment of the room's mini fridge didn't keep things frozen and so they melted. Our room's view was of the rooftop HVAC Ducts and other things (like a shed) above the pool. In fact, a good amount of our annoyances with this hotel are due to the way it was built: *The conference room where breakfast is served is too small and cramped *There is no elevator for the second floor rooms *The workout room can only be accessed by entering and traversing the pool area, and it is also pretty cramped (treadmill, elliptical, and recumbent bike) *ice machine and drinking fountain (no water bottle-friendly dispenser) are only on the first floor Also of note, our room was not made up for the one time we asked for it, but this was not a big deal. We did have to request a roll of toilet paper once, as that was already running out when we arrived, but at least our room was well-stocked with towels from the beginning. So, expect to be pleased by some things, but let down by others. read more

Front desk lady was so kind and friendly while we checked in. We also were 3 hours early before check in time and they were able to accommodate us which was amazing. We didn't expect a room to be ready. Room is decent size with a microwave & fridge. I really like how the sink is seperated from the toilet/shower so someone can use the sink area while someone else is showering. Room was clean but towels looked kind of yellow and old. Towels definitely need an upgrade. Building is very quiet which we appreciated. We slept great! It was a great overnight experience. I would book them again. read more

my stay was tearable, wish there was negative stars (-2start crappy), first thing I was going to use Bestwestern point, they would not except point for room, I'm a diamond member and stay mainly at Bestwestern so this was a first time ever and anoying. upon inspection of the room I found the toilet stained with urine and around it on the floor, the wash cloths and towels where dingy gray and the room stuck like urine, I ask to be moved to another room and was told no we can clean the toilet. the website is very misleading, kinda like makeup on a pig. no cookies on arrival, Cider packets if your lucky. but I gotta hand it to the one who photoshop the their photos for their website, bravo, fooled me. may I suggest if your heading east drive the extra 30 minutes to Ellensburg for better amenities, west bound the Snoqualmie Inn is A1 and they really treat you great. read more

Stayed here for an extended stay with my mother. Room rates were great especially compared to dumpy motels in north bend. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even bought my mom's dog some toys. An excellent choice for your stay in Cle Elum, with a few caveats. The front desk staff are great, Donna was especially warm and accommodating. And how can you not like free cookies on check- in? There are only two-floors, but no elevator, so if you have problems with stairs or a lot of luggage ask for a ground floor room. Lots of parking around the back entrance. Our mid-hallway room was quiet, but I would avoid the rooms next to the stairways if you want a quiet night's stay. Our King room was incredibly spacious, with a very comfy king-size bed, and quality thick sheets. After a hard afternoon of snowshoeing at Snoqualmie I slept like a baby given NyQuil. Free fast wifi, and a nice desk and chair makes a great workstation by the window with sitting sill. Our room featured a large vanity with sink, a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and kitchen sink. Also a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. A mid-size flat screen TV faced the bed, very nice, however the aspect ratio was all off with no way to fix it with the universal remote. Watching "Dreamgirls" on TV was interesting with Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy's heads cut off! There's no DVD/Bluray player so bring your own. The bathroom has an incredibly deep tub, and even a cool "rain shower" overhead faucet for a unique showering experience! The shower also includes a dispenser for shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. CONS: One drawback of the spacious room design is that the bathroom sink is in the main room, so there is no privacy for brushing your teeth, etc. Another is that there are NO clothing drawers, so you'll probably be keeping your clothes in your suitcase. The complimentary continental breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Muffins, oranges and apples, cereals, teas, coffees, juices, scrambled eggs, breakfast links, biscuits and gravy. Also, a hot waffle maker! Be sure to follow the posted directions for hot waffle goodness. Unfortunately during our stay only one of the two irons was working, so get down there early if you want waffles before the rush. Hopefully Best Western will fix this soon. The pool area is clean and large, with a pre/post shower for cleaning off, and a small workout room with treadmill, elliptical and stationary bike. Even a mini-fridge with bottles of cold water- nice touch! Great location in Cle Elum, right next to the Safeway and some restaurants, although I highly recommend visiting historic 1889 "The Brick" saloon in nearby Roslyn, about 5 minutes away. Very deep bathtubs in the rooms. Almost make a hot tub redundant, though you can only fit one person in your bathtub! So I guess you should bring your swimsuit... Rooms are very expansive, and the only flaw worth mentioning is that there are no dresser drawers in which to deposit your clothes. That's okay for a night or two, but not a full week. Several HBO channels offer plenty of commercial-free movie viewing opportunities. And free Wi-Fi. read more

Other than the very filthy carpet it is a decent room. They have clearly upgraded the decor recently and it's modern for a BW. The noise of this place is astounding, however. It's only two floors so everyone uses the stairs. Naturally, we are three doors down from said stairs. Anyone within ten rooms of the stairs can hear people coming up the hollow steps. And it's not necessarily that they are meaning to be loud. The design is clearly flawed in this case. The location and price isn't bad for those heading up to the summit but I'm sure there are better options at non peak times/holiday times. Things that I liked: They carry local coffee grounds from Pioneer. A nice way to support a neighbor business. Wifi was good. Area surrounding the hotel is routinely plowed. Walking distance to Safeway. Complimentary soap AND shower gel. I forget my toiletry bag and so the gel was much appreciated as I already have dry skin. read more

I stayed at the Best Western Snowcap Lodge with my wife and 5-year-old daughter from 11.24.2022. to 11.26.2022. Room was spacious, little outdated, but nice. We noticed slow water pressure in the shower, everything else was fine. Front Desk employees were polite, friendly, and accommodating. Those would be all the positive things from this stay. One thing that was immediate concern was that door wasn't working properly and you couldn't unlock it with the card. They kept it unlocked the whole day and locked it at night. Being in the room very close to the door (2nd room down) made my family uncomfortable. Breakfast that is included and served from 6:30 AM is very mediocre. Eggs were not cooked properly and tasted weird. They had gravy, biscuits, and sausages and everything else was not homemade. 2nd morning, we skipped the breakfast here and went to Safeway to get few things instead. When it comes to the pool, water is on the colder side. When we were there, few teenagers were having a snowball fight right in the pool/hot tub area. Gym is also located there, with only few machines crammed next to each other in a very small space. Around 10 AM on Saturday, we were getting ready to check out and were putting things back into the car. Someone used the opportunity that doors were unlocked for a moment and stole several valuable items from the center console and glovebox department. We went to the Front Desk, and they called Police. As I was talking to the Officer, a person of interest (known thief and drug user there) walked by and was stopped and questioned. That person went to the car parked on the other side of the Hotel, stayed there for about 15 minutes, and then drove away. I was informed that several thefts in the parking lot occurred in the past, so why is the Hotel allowing suspicious people to hang around on their property? Camera looking at that part of the parking lot covers only one side and not the side where my car was parked. At the check in, I was encouraged to park there and never informed that camera only partially covers it. After conversation was over with the Police officer, I went and talked to the Front Desk Manager, hoping they would do something to make this situation better. Manager said that they are reviewing cameras, cooperating with the police and basically, that they are not liable for a theft. Since then, I contacted Customer Relations Team in addition to submitting a survey detailing my experience. Response received was "we will implement improvements to ensure better experience and hope you will consider staying with us again". This was our second stay and we planned on coming back again in December. After this experience, we will never stay here again nor will any of our friends and family members. Most of the stolen materialistic things we will be able to replace slowly, but we are sincerely disappointed with the lack of care shown by the hotel employees and the company itself. There are many options available out there, and if you value your safety and hard-earned money, Best Western Snowcap Lodge in Cle Elum should never be the one you choose. read more

I have stayed all over the world in various hotels. This was the worst experience I've ever had. The rooms were not very clean, dark hair in the sink. I am blonde. The shower made a horrible screeching sound when it was on, the hot tub didn't work both the jets and temperature and I bussed my own towels and garbage to the maids cart down the hall from my room and was later accused of stealing their towels. I am a teacher and security officer and have never been avoid taking anything. In addition, the manager charged me 80 dollars for towels that I didn't take. The owner even called me and asked me to look through my luggage for the towels. I have my own towels that are even nicer. My bank called me to alert me if the fraudulent charges and stopped payment. I called Best Westerns customer care line and filed a formal complaint. Bottom line do not stay here. The manager and owner do not respect loyal guests. I have stayed here more than 10x and this was how I got treated. read more

So you wanna have a little overnight ski trip without driving too far? Thinking of having a marathon evening at Whiskey Pete's after a nice afternoon in the Cascade powder? Then get your skis shined up, grab a stick of Juicy Fruit, and find yourself a designated driver. As a last-minute adventure, we decided to book a room near the Summit at Snoqualmie to complement a ski getaway weekend. This seemed simple. Lots of people from Seattle do this, right? Don't tell me everybody drives that GRUELING 45 minutes back to the city after burning your thighs on moguls all day. Kidding. Most people do drive back, and in retrospect, maybe we should have as well. But then we wouldn't have found the Best Western Snowcap Lodge! We got ourselves a great room with a huge "living room" area with a couch and table, perfect for drying out all our ski gear. The bathroom had a "rainforest" shower head, and there was an indoor pool and sauna. It's only a two-story hotel, no elevator, but it's basically a brand new hotel and everything is in tip-top condition. Perfect! We had dinner at El Caporal in Cle Elum and then hit The Brick in Roslyn for a few beers. In the morning, we woke to a freak snow storm and, consequently, we freaked out. Is it safe to drive in this? Should we stay another night? The woman at the front desk was very sympathetic and helpful, directing us to the comfy breakfast dining area to enjoy breakfast (our last meal for hours?) while watching the weather report and making our game plan. And let me note that the breakfast isn't just cold cereal and drip coffee. We had our choice of bagels, fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, juice, milk, coffee and even a waffle bar! If there was bacon, I would have stayed another night. Alas, we needed to return to the city and our jobs and roads that aren't covered in ice and snow. I arrived at 3:30 and my room wasn't ready even at 4:30pm. Got dressed in the lobby bathroom for a wedding, and then later returned asking if I could cancel given the circumstances and go elsewhere. Was told it wasn't a problem and I wouldn't be charged a fee. Front desk was apologetic, said they were short staffed on cleaning (even though checkout is at 11:00am, 5+ hours to clean the room...) and I wouldn't be charged. Later the general manager charged me a no show fee and after calling her twice, calling the 1800 customer service number (who were helpful and tried to reason with her on my behalf without results) I got an email showing the invoice. I am going to have to dispute it with my credit card company now because they refuse to keep their word. Also, the general manager Desi was incredibly rude throughout the entire process, interrupted, and unwilling to honor her employee's promise. Avoid. read more

I totally enjoyed staying here. It's nearness to Safeway made the little kitchenette in the room totally functional. The mini fridge and microwave went to good use. Deep bathtub in the room (which online looked much larger than they were) made for a super cozy and relaxing bubble bath. Also, there's a little dispenser on the wall with all the shampoo, conditioner and body wash that you could possibly need. Lots of big towels. Only weird thing was the bathroom sink and mirror were outside the bathroom. I was totally into the comfortable office chair and desk. Great, clean pool and hot tub. Nice little fitness area with a few cardio machines and a big huge tv. Waffle iron at breakfast Awesome eggs. Quit and cozy. I'm writing this review a little late. My family and I stayed here over Mother's day weekend. We come to Cle Elum almost every year to visit family. This was our first experience here. I had wanted to stay here because my 8 year old daughter loves to swim and they have an indoor pool/jacuzzi! I was very surprised at how NICE, warm, and inviting the check in area was. The check in process went smoothly and we were assigned two adjoining rooms. Upon entering, again I was surprised at the luxury of this hotel in little Cle Elum, Wa! There was a large granite counter top with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator below. The room also contained a large, flat screen TV which of course my daughter loved. The bathroom looked brand new and was done very well. And the beds were oh so comfy......... :) I slept like a rock on our one night here. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here and of course the pool was the best feature according to my daughter. We will definitely be back next year!! read more

Conveniently located at the start of the main strip of Cle Elum within walking distance of Safeway, Safeway gas station and several restaurants. It's probably the newest hotel in town with high standards on cleanliness and meeting strict hotel codes. Not a speck of dust was seen in the bathroom vent or weird smells were noticed. The linens and towels are all very clean, just clean...I like that no pets are allowed in this facility either for my personal preference... The mattresses are comfortably firm and the rooms are spacious with 2 big mirrors. It can easily be rated as a top quality 3-4 star hotel quality for cleanliness and upkeep. I didn't notice any noise issue being on the second floor. The quiet bathroom fan and the ventilation system being far away enough from the beds made it easy for us to get a good night sleep. Unlike the less than stellar reviews at the resort hotels that charge double the price, I am glad the 2 night minimum at the resort hotels forced me to give Best Western Snowcap Lodge a try. Even though there's no view in any of their rooms, my husband and I felt very relaxed and comfortable at this hotel. The quietness, cleanliness, convenience and the decent price were worth giving up the view and being in a ritzier setting. I would give a five star easily but when we arrived at check in, the poor girl was newer and she had no backup. She did a great job for being new but I wished the hotel would provide a second person to assist her during peak hours. There was simply no backup and we had to wait a good 20 minute in line before we are checked in. Other than the hiccup at check-in which I think shouldn't be chronic, I highly recommend this place! read more

I would give it 5 stars if it had an elevator and more strictness at the pool area. 5 Stars for a Best Western?! you ask. YES! It's that nice here. The carpets are clean throughout; it doesn't smell bad at ALL; it's clean in every single way. They have 2 shower heads in the shower, and one of them is one of those big, directly overhead ones coming out of the ceiling. They had nice bedding. But the bed was a little soft for me, and the gap between the mattress and wall was swallowing my pillow - which I hate - but here are some bonus points: They have an INDOOR pool and INDOOR jacuzzi, so you don't need to hassle with bees. The jets in the jaccuzzi are annoyingly low though so if you have neck or shoulder issues, you won't be as excited as you were at first when reading the word jaccuzzi. (You'll climb in, all excited, and realize that the jets are weak and located poorly). Sigh. Foiled again by a jacuzzi from 1982?! I'm kidding - but come on- you are BEST WESTERN - try the new and improved version - please? Especially since this feature is one of your main claims to fame. More cool things: Gorgeous grass on the lawn areas, nice pull up area for your car to stay shaded during check in, a work out room... The room itself was HUMONGOUS. It was a 2 bed suite at the end of an upstairs hallway but for whatever reason, this room is huge - Note to future customers: ask them about a huge room you heard about upstairs. It had 2 gigantic sink areas in the main room. All the amenities. Nice desk area, couch, TV, everything. We didn't try the breakfast but I am sure it was probably good. More downsides: The maids were all wearing masks but I kept seeing one maid with hers down. Possibly the lead maid because she seemed to be telling the others instructions, etc. Just speculation. But every time she saw us (and probably any other customer) approach, she quickly put her mask back up. (Busted!) I wondered if her coworkers were getting irritated with her since they were following the rules. The other downside was, there was a family with 2 boys- (young grade school age ), and they were literally screeching at the tops of their lungs and their parents were doing nada about it. The staff, (who are located where they can see the pool area behind glass, right from their desk, did NADA about it either). I'm sure the philosophy was "kids will be kids" or something but I prefer rules and I think Snowcap needs more rules about quiet when it comes to pleasing all their customers. Kids can still have fun without sounding like pterodactyls! Final ending on a good note: It was really quiet there at night (at sleepy time, in the room) - I still used ear plugs, but before I put them in, I noticed it was not a noisy place, as motels go, trust me. read more

I just rolled in to the lobby here. We made a reservation to stay here earlier this afternoon. When we came in at 2:30 am after an extremely long night, we were told our reservation was only for "two people" and not three (myself, my boyfriend, and his friend who paid for the room). When our friend booked the reservation online, he reserved two beds, and the website we used said the room was reserved for four people total (two people per bed). When we got to the hotel, the man at the front desk made us wait 15 minutes in the lobby and charged us an extra $15 for a third person. Since when is this a thing?? Wtf. read more

My brother and I both had the same idea and got three rooms for our families. When I realized this, I called repeatedly to undo my reservation and get my $400 back. The manager was only available the day before the reservation, and therefore did not return the money. Have been on the road now for 10 days staying in a different hotel almost every night. This place was awesome! The rooms were large with comfortable beds and a nice flat screen tv with good air con. The pool was fun for the kids and the hot tub was HOT! After a great experience I was walking down in the morning thinking 4 or 5 stars going back and forth in my head and then I walked in to get breakfast and BAMMM! Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, any kind of juice you want and good coffee and that solidified the 5 star rating! Great experience. Give them a try. read more

After travelling all day this was a welcome surprise. Check in was fast and easy and the king room with soaker tub was awesome! Super clean, extra comfy bed, fridge and microwave. Only problem was that we didn't want to leave the bed to hit the road again! Best night's sleep in nearly a week! Breakfast wasn't too shabby either. Clean, nice property, but if you have a problem....They are horrible!!! I stayed at the hotel many times, and everything was fine until there was a problem. I checked in late, and went to the room and went to bed. it was the middle of the summer and very hot outside and didn't cool down at night. We woke up at 4 in the morning, sweating and so hot and stuffy. We had set the air conditioner. I called the front desk and they asked if we wanted to move rooms, which is funny because they said they were full when checked in. They said the air conditioner was broken. They didn't tell us that at check in. We had a lot to do the next day and were so tired,the day was miserable. We heard 3 different stories and they offered to take $30. off the bill. They knew the air conditioner was broken and didn't tell us, so we can make the choice of staying in it, then found out there were other rooms they could have put us in that the air conditioner did work! We stayed one night. They took the $30. off and when we got the statement for the charge card found out they charged us for 3 nights, one with the 30. off the other 2 full charges. We called too many times to count and didn't even talk to the manager for almost a week. It took a month to resolve and have one charge with the $30. off. The customer service is an F, I called the main offices and they were horrible too!! For someone who was staying often, they should have offered a free night, in my opinion. They have lost my business and will I will never stay there again. I have been to Cle Elum many times since and have stayed elsewhere. They lied many times, and as someone who stays at many hotels, this one had the worst customer service of any hotel I have ever stayed in. I would stay anywhere besides here, and would rather sleep in my car then go back here. I would NOT ever recommend this hotel. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I was told I had a room block on hold here in September for my wedding next summer. We filed paperwork, confirmed everything over the phone...planned our entire wedding, then I called this morning to put a name down for one of the rooms only to learn they had falsely told us the hotel was available that weekend, and that it is now -- and has since June -- been booked for another wedding. Not only did they not apologize for this error, they've offered no explanation. At this point I would scarcely want my guests to stay there. Sara, Eli & Jamie -- everyone I spoke to on the phone offered no help, no apologies, over 45 minutes on the phone today. What a nightmare.
