Shockingly egregious experience. Never have I ever been treated so poorly in my life. I had come back in after taking time to think about my feelings, and about what had just happened. I wanted to talk to the receptionist who struck me as genuinely hearing me. I spoke with her, she listened and was paying attention to my words. I felt heard and seen. Until.... Until the nasty receptionist who was passive aggressive, rude, disrespectful earlier on the phone to me, and not just to me but also to my melanin blessed sweet girl. This receptionist interrupted my conversation, stood up, leaned into our conversation and tried to take it over. She got louder and louder dominating our conversation. I immediately told her I was talking to the other lady because my interaction with her was so bad earlier. She persisted! At this point I told her to stop! yet she persisted with her aggressive assault on my conversation. I was done being nice, done listening to her hijack my conversation, and finally told her to shut her mouth. She spun out! and launched a verbal tirade at me. I told her to shut her mouth a few times as a man from across the room, behind me starts yelling at me. He continues to yell at me, from across the room. The nasty receptionist was still blathering at me so I couldn't hear what he was saying. I assumed he was some weird Ken, and tried to focus on my conversation. Then I look and see a guy in sweats (who was actually security) yelling at me to get out. I was mortified he was speaking to me. He continued to yell at me in front of a room with at least 15 people telling me I was disrespectful and needed to get out. Never ever in my 56 years have I ever been asked to leave somewhere, I've NEVER had an interaction with any security or police. I'm going to leave my background and backstory out because it only matters to me, but I will say I have a unique perspective that most do not on public safety, public relations, security and law, and what happened tonight was more than bad. My kids later let me know they were talking about me, and my girl in the back. I am 56, grey hair and look professional even when casual. I look like anyone's grandma. So I must assume this is how everyone is treated. Having a few bad actors in clinic is a bad look. I will be taking my time preparing a formal complaint against the receptionist and the security guard, and I will give this issue all of my energy until I feel this is corrected. A receptionist who is so arrogant and entitled to interrupt and take over the other receptionist conversation with me has no respect for her coworkers or clients. And a security guard who escalated a situation rather than de-escalating it, used verbal intimidation and verbally kicked me out is a liability. Not only have I NEVER experienced something like this ever in my life, I have never been ganged up on by healthcare staff. I am interested in seeing how they are going to try and spin this on their end. This was egregious. And a HUGE mistake on them. I will never return. read more

I was diagnosed with a fractured leg Wednesday afternoon. The medical staff who treated me were exceptional and I was thrilled that they able to take care of me. The physician referred me to an orthopedic center, provided me with a prescription for a wheelchair and required that I be fitted with an Immobilzation Leg Brace. Unfortunately the facility did not have a brace I needed in my size so they fitted me with another brace did not immobilize my leg as much as the other brace would have....however the medical staff member informed me that another one of their clinics would supply me with the one I needed the next day. I waited all day yesterday for the call and did not receive one from BestMed Coburg so I called them to determine if it was in the clinic. The abrupt and uncaring response I received from the receptionist was "you were told that we would call you". it is now late Friday afternoon and I still have not received any notice from BestMed that the brace is ready to have me fitted for the immobilization brace for my fractured leg! I would think that it is an act of malpractice to have been ordered by the physician to leave with an immobilization brace and promised it the next day that 48 hours later, those in the clinic responsible have not followed through! Think about this and other reviews prior to calling them. read more

Went for care of an injury that had pulled my toe nail back and was in a lot of pain. Not only did they have no advice or relief suggestions or discussion of what to expect, I could hear them laughing and making fun of me in the hall while I was waiting in the room. Waited over an hr and 15 min past my appointment time to be seen by a provider. Went out of the exam room to the assistants desk and all they said was that I was next. No reason for not being seen within a reasonable amount of time. When the provider did finally come into the exam room, there was no apology for making me wait. Took him all of 3 min to exam and diagnose me. If I was ever late to an appointment, they would refuse to see me and make me reschedule. This place is absolutely terrible. My granddaughter needed 6 stitches in her ear. We waited 2 hours to be seen only to be told by the PA that we needed a specialist because it would take her hours to sew up and she had other patients waiting for her. She advised a local ER, McKenzie Willamette Hospital. When we asked where it was she said she didn't know. The PA doctor at MWH looked at us like we were crazy when we told him the story. He stitched her up in about 20 minutes and did a amazing job. Please don't waste your time going to an urgent care that can't help you or has no clue about hospitals in the area. Went in for an urgent eye issue, needing eye drops and a referral to ophtomology. Got a bottle of eye drops and a referral supposedly sent (after over 3 hours of waiting). "They'll call to schedule within a week." They say. Calls later the following week about said referral, confirmed it was sent. Yet when I call the ophtomologists, they were unaware. Now are telling me to come into urgent care again (and wait 3 hours) to get another bottle of eye drops (even though none of the employees know what iritis is so they're opinion is null) despite the fact that they dropped the ball and depended on illiterate gen zer's to properly process a referral to a place they can't pronounce. Best Med Urgent Care billed me incorrectly three times via smartphone, rather than paper bill. I tried to call them but wasn't able to get through: I called billing several times, only to be put on hold through 4 previous callers and then hung up on ("There is no one to take your call") without even being able to leave a message. I kept on getting these incorrect bills until I blocked my credit card. They finally cancelled those bills. Then they sent me a legitimate bill. I unblocked my credit card and wasn't able to pay it. I went through the same folderol of trying unsuccesSfully to get through. The bill is now in collections, through no fault of my own. I have gone through 4 primary care providers through them in the past 2 years. Only one was an MD; the others were NPs and PAs. There is no MD in the Coburg practice. They must be treating their "help" wrong. read more

The front desk personnel were very helpful and patient with everyone that came during my visit, including myself. The building appeared very clean and well stocked. I opted for a video or tele-health visit, and was assisted to see a provider very quickly, after the staff got my vitals and asked a few questions. I've had 2 terrible experiences here. The only thing they know how to do is give out their "headache cocktail" which is a combo of shots. 4 minute visit, 100 dollars, all for the "dr." to tell me "we can't sever your head" and to take ibuprofen or to get a pain reliever shot from them. Told them I didn't want to take anything, told them my symptoms and they kept referring to it as a headache even though i was describing something else. Dismissive and bad. The doctor we saw would be well advised to recognize that HIS PATIENTS are the primary and most important part of the healthcare team; but THESE SELF-ADSORBED DOCTORS are out here trying to run the show and upstage us lowly patients ! Instead of acting better than ass patients if I can't, we work together Doctor? Don't be so sure that the time spent in medical school and your gigantic student loans balances magically qualify him as the most important part of his crappy lil self-centered Healthcare team ... I do not recommend this doctor and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. So Dr. God in the office where he took control of the conversation and he just dominated the entire encounter. He refused to listen to me, and he talked over me appearing to enjoy listening to the sound of his own voice and feeling so sure he's the smartest person in the room or something. Ultimately, this doctor disregarded the health and safety of my family. He would not hear me when I told him that one of my family members is extremely medically fragile, undergoing cancer tx, w DM2.for over 55 years who wears an insulin pump with continuous glucose monitor and has a chest tube surgically implanted to drain a portal effusion at home, along with various other serious chronic conditions. I mean, I went to Best bed to not just get treatment for myself. I mainly went to this urgent care in order to apply best practices to protect my family and my communities I live in from what us lay people think is noro virus. Doctor wouldn't order a freaking lab I would have to pay for it anyway. I'm at home and I don't know what I'm sick with my family is doing a deep cleaning of the entire house maybe for no reason?! I sure would like to know exactly what I'm sick with! It was a waste of time going to Doctor because I was forced to call my primary care physician DURING my Best med visit!! What else can I do?? My issues were not sufficiently addressed during my appointment by this half-a__ed doc! What in the heck did I go here for? In the past I've had a good experience with them, but today was just the opposite. I booked an appointment for 100. When I got there I was told there was one person ahead of me. I waited for 40 minutes, and then they called three or four people ahead of me. I had to leave without being seen. That was unconscionable. read more

Last week I was told by my audiologist/tech to get a referral to an emergency ENT from my doctor because I have had terrible pain in my ear, jaw, nose, and throat. On the following business day, I went to the Coburg Road Eugene urgent care facility and, after a wait of over 2 1/2 hours, saw a PA who told me she would give the "referral coordinator" my exam info. She told me to call her office the next day. She also said they would be calling me back, but they didn't. Could not get hold of the PA or the "referral coordinator" the next day. (I had to struggle with the receptionist over the phone because she insisted they had no referral coordinator!) Finally, I was given a phone number for the referral coordinator and there was only an answering machine. I left a message. Nobody called back that day, or on the next day. The next day I called again and also had to leave a message on the answering machine. I have an answering machine and was home all day on all these days. It is now the third day I am trying to get through to ANYONE at Coburg Road. Their AI answering machine has no option to connect to ANYONE in nursing and no mention of a referral coordinator. I have been disconnected automatically by the machine on all three calls today. I have mentioned all along to the Coburg office that I am in pain and that the audiologist wanted me to see an ENT on an emergency basis. Also, the PA did not give me a written copy of the referral, so I cannot get an appointment scheduled myself as ENTs want the referral first. THIS IS THE WORST "EMERGENCY" MEDICAL FACILITY I HAVE EVER CONSULTED AND I AM ALMOST 80 YEARS OLD. Their phone AI system keeps you on hold forever, playing music and has NO OPTIONS TO TALK TO SOMEONE THAT ARE SUITABLE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP YOU! Walked into the place with the security guard approaching my daughter and telling her " Hey , they might not see you tonight ". Then the assistant told my daughter the practitioner wouldn't be able to see her tonight . Unfortunately we walked in at 930pm. It seems like no one wanted to help us tonight . This office refuses to see patients after 900pm . It's absurd and absolutely troubling that no one could help us tonight . We had concerns about her overall health and pain issues with her wrist . A couple of patients were still in the lobby . I wouldn't recommend coming her at night , but it's the only office opened until 1000. Please recommend a functional office that can provide assistance. My husband and I went to urgent care last week after he experienced symptoms for a month. I explained that we had been having difficulty getting him a Primary care doctor and although we fondly found one, they couldn't see us until October. I specifically asked them to run tests to help us figure out what is wrong. The doctor refused saying we needed to go to our primary care doctor. Now it is a week later and my husband is at the ER. He has pulmonary edema and there is something wrong with his heart. If they had run a x ray or blood test like I asked, I am sure they would have referred us to the ER that same day. I am thankful for the medical staff that helped me, but getting in was horrific! I was in extreme pain after a horrible animal bite. There were 14 people in front of me, and I had to wait there in pain and experiencing nausea. I tried to call ahead of time so I could let them know I was coming in, but they don't answer their phone. Their online appts were booked. This type of wait also occurred the last time I had to come in here for a covid diagnosis. Next time, I will drive further for an urgent care that puts their patients medical urgencies ahead of not hiring enough medical staff. If someone had even answered the phone to let me know the wait, I would have gone somewhere else. Again, the doctors and nurses did a great job once they got to me, but there is a major organization problem impacting the way an urgent care should run, which is why I am rating it as a 1 star. I have gone here a few times now when my pcp wasn't able to see me when I had covid 19 symptoms. I am very pleased with how fast they got me in each time, and with the quality of care I received. Thankfully each time I was negative for covid 19 per rapid test, and the PCR tests. They even did strep cultures to make sure I didn't have strep. I had been sick for about 2 in a half weeks, so ended up having to get antibiotics. I am finally feeling better, and am thankful....I am not sure why this wasn't posted back when I went in. I wrote this review several Months ago when I was sick. I think I ended up even returning to get another test since writing this, and still had a pleasant experience. Their estimated wait time was WAY underestimated. They said about an hour and a half and it was 2 and a half hours later and ended up being a remote doctor. It would have been another hour wait to see an on-site doctor. They should have offered the remote option way,way sooner. Then after we finally left (over 3 hours after getting there to check in), went and waited in long line at pharmacy right before it closed only to find out they sent the prescription to the wrong pharmacy (that was already closed). Although treatment was fine and staff was nice enough, it was a very slow, frustrating experience. read more

I went to Best Med because I had abdominal pain. Once I arrived at the desk to check in, I was informed that there would be a two hour wait and that I could go to the junction city office where there weren't any patients waiting. I drove over and got there 15 minutes before they closed. I told the receptionist I was there because I was having abdominal pain. She collected my hundred dollar co-pay and when I went back and saw the physicians assistant, he told me there was nothing that he could do for me because they don't have the capability of taking images and that's the only way that they can see the abdomen. He didn't even look or feel it and told me I should go to the ER. I am so appalled that They care more about the money than the care of a human. I should've been told upon check-in that they can't take images of me and I would've left. She also advised me that my credit card will be on hold and if I need to pay more than the $100 co pay that they will charge my card. I found out that peace health will triage first, and that they would have advised me that they couldn't take images of me before they accepted my co pay. I ended up at McKenzie Willamette and received top notch care. I am outraged and disgusted and that this practice is ok. read more

Here's what you do. When you go in if between say 8:30 AM and 4 PM. count the number of people in the waiting room, try to just for people together, and add 5 for people in the 5 proceeder rooms yet to be seen. Multiply that number by 20 minutes average each person ahead of you and that is roughly how long you will wait. They will go way low to keep you there. They got me in right away, diagnosed my right away. Took some tests that came back different and needed stronger antibiotics due to the message in my Best Med patient account. Day 3 and nobody has called me to let me know the updated tests and to call in a different prescription. I would have liked to have gotten a call first before they updated my patient account with the results. I have also called them and have not been able to talk to anybody. read more

Attention, wheelchair users: unless you can get on an x-ray table by yourself the staff will not assist you out of fear of liability. Like almost every other clinic in Eugene, they have no Hoyer or ceiling lifts. This town used to be exemplary in so far as access for the disabled, but in the last 10 years thoughts about access for the disabled has disappeared in the healthcare community. At least the wound care clinic at Riverbend has one ceiling lift but I believe it's the only one in the hospital and that includes the only general surgery clinic in the city. A portable Hoyer patient lift can be purchased for $550 on Amazon including shipping. read more

This team is really great and want to thank them for their hard work. My spouse and I needed to get tested for COVID so we just called from our car, got checked in and then just had to wait a short amount of time to be seen. They will have some questions to ask and they offer various COVID testing (rapid 15min and the PCR -done there or McKenzie-Willamette). Shout out to Sean, he was caring, funny, and non-judgemental. The PA also explained things straight forward, no bs! All these employees deserve a raise! read more

For goodness sake! My MD is closing her pra so I am in need of a new PCP. I reviewed their physicians' bios and philosophies and chose one for an interview meet and greet. I meet this doc and find out he will no longer be there after December. A total waste of his and my time!!! And besides that, you try to call and you get the 1-800 number in the sky, sit on hold and maybe- finally get connected to a human being. Then, of course, the doc who is leaving, tells me, probably as instructed, that there are other docs in the group who are probably taking new clients. Pretty good for urgent care, no complaints. But I then began using this office as primary care and regret it. The medical assistants and front desk are always friendly, patient, and helpful but the same cannot be said about the doctors. Unprofessional, unorganized, rude, unhelpful with basic requests. Quick to medicate without many questions and not interested in helping identify the "best" treatment. After being a primary care patient here for almost 2 years, I asked my doctor to move my prescriptions to a pharmacy in Ashland, Or temporarily so that I could tend to family members who were severely ill from covid, and his response was: "I will not be doing that. You should have considered the location where you wanted to fill your prescriptions at the time that they were prescribed, and not after the fact." I had been on the same medication and filling at the same pharmacy for over a year....apparently emergency situations aren't a valid reason to need to fill 1 month of prescriptions in a pharmacy 3 hours away. Just save yourself the trouble. Seriously, get primary care elsewhere. You'll wait for months to get an appointment here and it truly isn't worth it, many other options locally so no reason to put up with this place. read more
