Our review is a little different than folks going in for coffee or lunch etc. We hosted a "morning after" coffee and muffin/pastry event. So first I will review our wedding: it was at the Dan'l Webster Inn, most folks were out of town, out of state, out of country so were staying at the inn or at an AIrBNB. We wanted a way to get together in the morning that could be drop in (we picked drop in anytime between 8 and 10am), it needed to be casual, not too expensive, and we needed to be able to walk around and chat with each other. So we picked Beth's Cafe. We did plan ahead so Beth knew there would be a group. Our guests could enjoy coffee, tea, juice and a muffin or donut or danish (and some other yummy stuff). If our guests wanted a big breakfast or other drinks they could pay for themselves. We had great feedback from all who attended. Very enjoyable and a nice way to say goodbye to everyone. Now on to review Beth's.....great communication while planning, very yummy food, great coffee and tea. The perfect vibe! Service was great too. Food is standard fare for a bakery, service left something to be desired. Went here to pickup some quick snacks for the road on the way back to Boston. Wanted to order a fruit smoothie which was listed under "daily specials." The person behind the counter told me she couldn't make me the smoothie because she didn't know how to. Ordered something else. Total came to $7.96, tried to pay with credit card and was informed the min was $8 (which is actually illegal and a violation of the credit card/vendor contract). Asked if they could make an exception or just charge me $8 flat - no on both counts. Had to buy something else to pay with credit. Eventually ended up with granola/yogurt and two cookies. Pretty average for a bakery. read more

We stopped in for breakfast before kayaking in the area. There is quite a bit of seating outdoors which is great for Covid. The kids liked the pastries. We got the grilled egg wraps which were good size. I think my husband and I could of split one. It was a little slow and probably felt more slow to us because we were in a hurry and the lattes were average. read more

I do love Beth's, the pastries are delicious and the cappuccinos are fab. That being said, there is always a wait. Maybe I'm unlucky and come in on days that are just 'off,' however, there have been three separate instances where my husband and I were the only individuals being served and have waited over 15 minutes for cappuccinos. While the wait, in our case, is worth it (we generally give ourselves a 30 minute window for, what should be, a 7 minutes stopoff), this doesn't seem acceptable for most. read more

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time at Beth's. I got the tuna sandwich with a salad, loved it and my boyfriend got a breakfast sandwich. The only down fall is that my boyfriend and I work during the day and cant come to the restaurant before they close. Gluten free options! The quiche was crustless with sausage, peppers and cheese. It was excellent! A little pricey ($9.99) for a slice but hey it's Cape Cod and it was a large slice. They also offered gluten free bread. I was told they could make most of the sandwiches gluten free. Unfortunately, if you have celiac, you will be drooling over the bakery counter. I only saw gluten free macaroons. However, it appears that those who can have gluten will be delighted by the many treats to chose from. Lots of coffee and tea options. Awesome find just 1.5 miles off of Rte 6. Found while leaving the west yarmouth and looking for a healthy quick stop for lunch (besides the rotary eateries). Great spot, quiet and quick service, quaint inside and nice little porch outside. Half sandwich and soup and lots of sweet yummies that we looked at but after haddock chowder (great choice) and half pesto, mozzarella basil panni - no room for desert. Great place to get lunch with our two kids. We went around 2:00 on a Monday and the place was busy , which I took as a good sign. I had the Puritan sandwich and a bowl of the haddock chowder and they both were delicious! Even though it was busy the seating didn't feel too cramped. A really homey and cute place for a quick bite. I had the haddock chowder, which was quite hearty, and the chicken cranberry salad wrap which was delicious. Our sandwiches were very fresh and tasty. I had turkey with cranberry chutney and my friend had the Caesar chicken salad. I enjoyed a green tea, which was served nice and HOT in a pot for me to pour into my teacup. My friend had an iced tea, which was not pre-sweetened and she was very happy about that. We sat outside, on the deck, the atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant. We visited here in June. Delicious sandwich and pastries, both very fresh. We arrived shortly before their closing time and were waited on cheerfully. There were many patrons there when we arrived and several that came in after us, yet we never felt rushed or that we were getting end-of-the-day service. Great coffee, lovely spacious area with lots of light and soft vintage music, which I love and fits perfectly with the place; ordered a lemon cupcake, tasty frosting but cake a bit dry and ordinary, slice of chocolate cake with white frosting with coconut, delicious, and Apple cider cake donut, which was ok, goes well with the coffee. Now mind you, I didn't eat it all at once, just sampled and brought the rest home which I have continued to eat for the last 24 hrs, the lemon cupcake was even better after being at room temperature, then realized there was a little lemon curd, I believe, in the center, nice surprise. The bill was about $15 with a small tip, a bite steep, but when you factor in the whole package and the refill and pleasant service, a place I will frequent when in the area. read more

A great stop for lunch and coffee. We had the chicken cranberry salad sandwich which was light and flavorful, and the Vermonter panini which was perfect. The display case alone will make you drool. This cozy cafe, in what use to be a historical church, was a delight to visit. The staff was very friendly. Had lunch there a couple of weeks ago. Great iced coffee and a more than adequate ham & cheese sandwich, as well as a turkey sandwich. Cupcakes are great and wonderfully decorated. We bought 4 different kinds for a birthday celebration. Went back a week later just for iced coffee and a peanut butter cookie. It was a real treat to visit with Beth - both times we were there.
