This was a very pleasant surprise! For my birthday last year, a chocolate-making class was promised as a gift. Given constant traveling and life overall, we did not get to partake in a class of this type until Labor Day weekend in Boston. My companion set this up all by himself with the lovely Beth. Beth was very communicative, even giving us directions to her place, as well as to many of the attractions that the city of Boston has to offer. It was just us two, along with Beth and her husband Steve. They were so nice, making us feel very welcome in their home (because shockingly this is at their house!). Beth is a master at her craft. She's been making chocolate for years and it really shows. Her chocolate was so pretty and yummy. As for the actual chocolate-making class, we began with tasting chocolates from all around the world to then attempting to make our own. Have to say the chocolate was delicious and rich. Definitely not the type of thing you can eat all in one go unless you are a true chocolate lover. That said, this was quite fun and we took many goodies back home to Florida. Definitely something I would want to do again, and more so, Beth and Steve are such kind folk that you want to invite them out to lunch or something along those lines. I am so glad I found this place. I was in the market for some last-minute corporate gifts, and stumbled upon Beth and her chocolate shop. Although the GPS said that our destination was on the right, we look puzzled. The "store"front looked homey. We did not read the fine print to book an appointment in advance. Thankfully, we arrived at the same time, and Beth was able to accommodate our family. There were chocolates in every corner and variety. How do you even choose? We had tea-inspired chocolates, tasting bars, and rice crispies bark. Beth is so sweet, and her homemade chocolates were the perfect treat for a day of exploration. There were no pictures to post because we indulged as soon as we walked out the front door. We tried not to spoil our dinner, but who could resist? Each piece was rich yet smooth. Wow! To start, Beth is a creative and very talented chocolatier! I am a chocolate fanatic and addict and I have to say Beth's chocolate is one of, if not, the best chocolate I have ever tasted. For a few years now my boyfriend has gotten me assorted chocolates for my birthday and Valentine's Day from Beth's chocolate. And all of them are worth savoring every single bite. If eating chocolate is you or your loved ones thing I promise you her chocolates will not disappoint! This year my boyfriend surprised me by taking me and four friends to a chocolate class and it did not disappoint!! We were welcomed into Beth's home and made to feel comfortable and prepared to make chocolate. We started with a chocolate tasting and learning about chocolate, how it is sourced, and what it consists of. Beth was very well educated on the subject and it was amazing to hear so many knowledgable facts. Next, we learned how to temper chocolate and spread it to make crispy chocolate bark! After that we made chocolate ganache balls. As if that wasn't enough then we made chocolate medallions by tempering, piping, and topping them. We still weren't finished--we made dipped truffles and then went back and learned how to make ganache and turn them into covered truffles. It was absolutely amazing the 3 hours went by so quickly and involved tons of tasting along the way! And the best part was we got to take home bags and bags of chocolate!! It will not disappoint if nothing else buy a sampler of chocolate to support a lovely individual. But I highly suggest taking a class and really getting the best of both worlds! Delicious chocolates made by an extremely friendly person. We took the 25 piece assorted chocolate box, which was made to order considering the 90 degree weather. The box had pomegranate, passion fruit, raspberry, coffee, milk, cognac flavoured dark and milk chocolates. Beth also shared a couple of samples with us. Beth makes stunning and delicious chocolates. These are the chocolates I dream about: rich, but not too sweet, with full flavor, very fresh and almost too beautiful to eat. They are a European-style truffle with a deep chocolate ganache, infusions of flavors like pomegranate, passion fruit, or various liqueurs, and a shiny, hard chocolate exterior embellished with striking designs. I first tasted these chocolates at a local crafts fair where Beth had a stall. I bought a box for my foodie parents and a small sample for myself. My parents, who have been lucky enough to try some of the best artisan chocolates from Paris, New York and London, thought that these were as good as or better than any they'd had before...and so pretty, I have tried five or six flavors. My favorites (so far, there are many more to try!) are raspberry, pomegranate, passion fruit, and salted caramel. Swoon. read more

We didn't realize that she worked out of her home until my husband and I stopped in unexpectantly one afternoon. Tasted the chocolate from which the Peruvian chocolates are made and the coffee chocolate- they were really really good, very fresh and delish.. I took the introductory class from Beth where we made chocolate bark, truffles, learned how to use transfer sheets, etc. We learned about tempering chocolate (key to successful chocolate making!), and made some delicious and beautiful chocolates to take home.
