Beto's is run by a family environment. The servers will remember your name and treat you like a friend. Their food is very good and high quality. Their house margarita on the rocks is one of the best margaritas I have had in any Mexican restaurant - they aren't afraid to add tequila - I love that! The side is very clean and refreshing. I do have to say the menu needs more to it and the prices need to be adjusted; the prices are on the high side. Give them a try! You won't regret it, unless you look at your wallet! read more

I've been here 5 times since it opened twice at lunch 3 times for dinner. I'd give it 5 stars for each visit. Restaurant is nice, different and authentic decor. Service has always been friendly and prompt and food is always a level above the likes of pappasitos and some of the other chains. Great job, keep going. Love your restaurant. read more

Food was very good. Steak was cooked perfect. The rice was also good. Beans were basic beans with no seasoning so they were good also. The green salsa tasted like creamy avocado with pepper....weird but good. Red salsa was too tomatoey ( my word). Overall pleasant experience nice atmosphere and decor is pretty. We moved close to hear about a month ago and pass this place all the time so we decided to give it a try. We placed a takeout order and the person that answered the phone was very friendly and said our order would be ready in 10 minutes. The place was clean and nice and the staff was friendly. The portions were big and the food was great. My wife is very picky and didn't want to eat there. After trying this place, she's already to go back and we will for sure. read more

Food was good as usual, Noticed the advertisement for margaritas on happy hour special. We ordered skinny margaritas only to find out when it came time to pay that they suddenly weren't on the happy hour special even though it wasn't mentioned when we ordered nor indicated on the happy hour sign. Cashier refused to adjust the price to happy hour prices. We have been going here a several times a month for lunch and/or dinner, but now I think we'll find another Mexican restaurant to patronize. The decor is great! The house margaritas not worth buying, they want $18.00 for premium! The food was subpar, but the steak ranchero meat had good flavor. Had lunch there yesterday on my first visit. The food was good, but the margarita was less than expected. My friend and I ordered one frozen and one on the rocks. The frozen margarita was OK, but the one on the rocks was horrible. We asked to replace it and the waitress was a little nasty, saying "they both came out of the same batch." What's good at Betos. Nicholas, the guy and the only guy that had had any interaction with us. He's not the waiter but the guy that brings drinks. Food is up to par and the margaritas are strong. I like the green salsa and the queso. It is just plain cheese, but for some reason I can't stop eating it. The chicken diablos are addicting and highly recommended. However, I would skip the spinach and mushroom enchiladas. They were flat, almost deflated and missing some of the cheese and mushrooms. The rice is pretty tasty and this is one side item I am very picky about, but I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of flavor the rice has. The chips could be warmer and maybe a tad saltier... Homemade would of been great! The prices are a little hefty and there are no combo plates on the menu. Hoping that changes soon. May be wishful thinking though. read more

Only grumble was the margarita was really sweet. Second visit, a couple of weeks later, my wife ordered cheese enchiladas. She had a funny expression, so I asked what the problem was. She said it tasted like cheese-whiz. Sounded like they made the enchiladas using velveeta instead of cheese. read more

Decent food, nice decor. Service needs improvement. The staff is friendly but it's like they all work the tables together so you never know when someone will refresh your drink or take your order. Salsa was also disappointing but maybe I'm just spoiled to the Americanized tomato/onion/cilantro/pepper combo. I wish it was better, I'd love to have a good Tex-Mex place closer than Guadalajara Hacienda, and this place is just average. Food was delicious i had the Sour cream enchiladas with rice and beans. Loved it!!!! Being from South Texas sometimes it's hard to find food that tastes homemade. Beto's hits the nail on the head loved the green salsa and chips also. I noticed others on here complaining about the service we had no problems with our waiter at all. This will be a bit of a mixed review. We liked several items but also several items were not good at all. The good: the chips were homemade and hot, great salsa, really good queso, homemade tortillas, and the beans are all excellent. Also the wait staff was very attentive and polite. The decor and restaurant is nice looking. The bad: the flautas were dry and unseasoned, the rice was hard and undercooked, the enchiladas were not soft as well. Much of the food wasn't tasty. The fajita sides were really small portions. Maybe they thought I needed a diet. :) The worse: we ordered a kids meal which was $5 and it didn't include a drink. That was an extra 1.75. So for us that added up to almost $7, for a kids meal. That's pretty pricy. So we decided to share a couple of meals. Our party of six totaled $80. That is quite pricy for a mediocre TexMex restaurant. Also if the menu says that queso is $6 and you charge us $7, people may feel you are trying to rip them off. They did say that was the price for the large. We never ordered a large and the menu still only lists one price. We were hoping for more and this was our second visit.
