The first time we hired Betsy's Moving, it was to move my mom (with memory issues) into an assisted living facility. They were prompt, professional, fast and efficient! The prices were very reasonable and they were all really just genuinely nice people. The second time we hired them was very unexpected and just 6 weeks later, to move her yet again. They didn't hesitate to say "whatever you need!" and fit us in to a very small window of time that worked for OUR schedules. Here's the way they went above and beyond even moreso: my husband drove ahead of them to the new location (60 miles away) in his car and got a flat tire. They took an unnecessary lunch break at no charge (!) to give him time to put on his spare since he had keys to the new place. When the old spare shredded 20 miles later? Amanda saw him on the side of the road and picked him up in her own car and they finished the job together. Amanda and her crew helped arrange my mom's new studio; we were at a loss what to do with the space since we had down-sized from a 1 BR apartment. It looked great! I could never have pulled that off. Beware. I have used Betsy moving before but think she had farmed it out based on my recent experience. I informed Betsy of everything that had to be moved so she suggested 3 movers. On moving day 3 young kids, one had just stated 2 days prior started climbing over things to get boxes. I said everything has to be moved out let's start in the front. About 3 hours into it Betsy informed me she was not moving any of the heavy furniture pieces!!! She was not equipped to do that. I'm paying $360 and hour to move boxes!!! She charge me over $2400 for 6.5 hours. The next day I hired 2 professional movers for 4 hours who finished boxes and moved all the heavy furniture and commercial refrigerator on wheels. Betsy, her company and her staff have truly found their calling. She is very personable, knowledgeable, compassionate, happy, etc... Who acts like this unless they LOVE their job and cares about people. She and her crew recently moved my Aunt from her home to Spring Lake Village. Having had a lot of experience working with and moving elders, I had confidence that no matter what happened between my organizing, sorting, labeling, etc... and my Aunt wondering why her things were spread out all over the living room so she started putting them away, that Betsy would not think that was abnormal. What a relief to know that she recognizes effort, doesn't make people feel degraded, and gets the job done. Betsy's moving is reliable and very recently cost. They just go to town the minute they get into their job. Then they take videos and the house went from looking very shabby to looking brand new. I highly recommend them their professional they're great at getting right back to you great communicators great, they schedule soon after your phone call. Before I found Betsy's moving I had an estimate that was honestly four times the amount of what they charged. Obviously the other business was inappropriate and when I explain that to Betsy's moving they said oh they have to follow all these rules under all their association guidelines on costs. Betsy's movers was excellent. They were very good company. They moved everything out and were very clean, very professional, very fair priced, fast and prompt and punctual. We met them during a fair at the assisted living home. My great aunt was living in, and after my great aunt passed away. We hired them to clean out her apartment. They took everything that they were able to donate and donated it. So that it didn't go in the trash and everything else they cleaned up perfectly were very happy with them. Betsy and her crew made our move completely painless, in spite of challenging circumstances. First, they had to shuttle things down stairs and down a steep driveway. Then, power was out on move-in day and she and her crew carried everything up 3 flights of stairs. What a crew!
