I really wish we had something more like this closer to home this Speakeasy-esq place (it's not…read morereally hidden but it's a flight of stairs up before the main restaurant which is another flight of stairs above this cute place) They outdid themselves with decor and dark ambience, the staff are super friendly and attentive while giving you your privacy. It's not large but there were plenty of tables and seats at the bar I honestly cannot remember the name of the drink I had but it hit the spot and wasn't too sweet (always a plus in my book) we also had the Trio of house made dips 3/5 which was chunky hummus, a dried tomato and walnut romesco and feta kopanisti with LOTS of pita bread. All in all a great place to stop into and chill was a great ending to our day. Will absolutely visit again!

I really liked The In Between's logo and interior design, it felt like stepping into the Prohibition era. We ordered a drink each from the Seasonal Summer Menu and shared a hummus plate. The drinks were nothing extraordinary but pretty good, and the hummus plate was a great shareable snack for the two of us. However, the service was super slow and frustrating. The staff were overextended since they were taking on both the bartender and server roles, so it was very difficult to catch their attention. We ended up having to approach them while they were in the middle of making a drink after trying to flag them down for 20 minutes and failing. We were in a bit of a rush towards the end so this was not the best experience, but definitely a bar worth checking out if you're not in a rush and have a lot of patience!

Stopped in for family lunch/brunch on Mothers Day. Sat in the lounge area at a preset area with flowers and a beautifully set table. Food selection was minimal. Seemed to be a set menu. We chose the Crab and Sirloin Benedict special, salmon Benedict, mushroom pasta, and oysters. Presentation for price was not as expected. Will return to try the prime rib dinner.

And oddly dry as though they'd been shucked that morning..? Our cocktails were fine. My partner's pasta was decent and my French Onion Soup was mediocre. Our tab was $130 with tip and I'm unhappy about that but it is water under the pier I mean, I'll get over the food but I may never recover from the decor! So out of touch IMHO, dripping with eccentricity & old school "charm." All that said, the service was fine if not a bit oppressive. Still, we'll skip this place next time we visit Port Townsend.

Both tacos we had were fantastic, and the chips and guacamole were great too. The tortilla chips were warm and tasty so I assume that they prep them on site. My daughter loved the horchata too. A great place to stop in when in town or traveling through.

This was one of the most bland and tasteless renditions of "Mexican" food that has ever graced my taste buds. I've had better treatment to my mouth from Taco Bell For how expensive these entrees were, I was expecting much more from the flavor department. Like I am genuinely baffled about how non-existent the flavor was. I ordered the Mole Rojo Con Pollo, and I received the most pathetic excuse for a molé I've ever had. No Flavor whatsoever. Black beans and white or brown rice (couldn't tell but it was gross, and seriously no Mexican rice?!). I'm a big dude and always am a part of the clean plate club, but this meal was such an utter disappointment that I didn't even finish more than half of it. The saving grace of this place is their service staff. Probably the best service I've ever received at a sit down restaurant, nicest people. My honest and whole-heartedly genuine recommendation to "La Cocina": fire the whole kitchen staff, or scrap the menu and start from scratch.

We ordered several dishes which included the pimento spread with fried saltines, duck confit croquettes. potato and leek soup, oysters on the half shell and lastly, their house-made pasta which was mafaldine, a long strand with curly edges on both sides in with a sauce that was just exceptional. Our waitress, Jessica was so friendly and there was never a wait for our dishes. Overall a very splendid experience and will definitely go back when visiting Port Townsend again.

They are always making sure you have a clean dining space and fresh settings. The food is of course the star of the show though. We went during HH and tried a variety of small bites and every single one of them was delicious. The oysters were on point, the greens balanced, the croquettes and salmon dip were very flavorful but our favorite dish of the day was the biggest one and that was the house made pasta. The selection changes every day and on our day it had red sauce, red onion, and castelvetrano olives and it was so good that we ordered a second bowl! And we may not have needed a second bowl as it was a solid size but it was so good! The house red during HH was also nice and I tried a white port and tonic which was fun to try and refreshing. Definitely a destination stop whenever one is around Port Townsend!
