(I was.) I called Mercedes Specialists, asked when was the soonest I could get in for a service, and they surprised me by being able to take my appointment that afternoon. That never happens! Terrific service from Sheila at the front desk, good discussion with the team, and they were enthused because this was the first time they'd had a new CLS450 in the shop. They talked about the engine, its differences from other recent Mercedes engines, and so on. They shared the expected service intervals for every service through 120,000 miles, and made two additional recommendations based on seeing a lot of older Mercedes with neglected service. The real kicker? Service A for $195 as a first time customer, but would have been only $215 otherwise compared to the $579 my dealer wanted to do the service, but couldn't provide, even though I'd scheduled a week ahead. I know where I'm going from now on. And based on the other cars at the shop, a lot of people seem to trust them.

On 1/28/26 since I was on the road…read moreI came by and explained that my vehicle was vibrating a lot after a snowstorm, but I didn't see anything like a chunk of ice trapped in the wheel well and none of my dashboard warning lights were on. I also said that my steering wasn't affected by the vibrating, but something was off with the riding performance. I was told that most likely my wheels became unbalanced from having ice in the wheels. I was told to park in my garage and use a space heater to try and fix the problem. The advice worked and it was offered free of charge because the employee said, "I'd hate to charge you for inspecting the car since I am confident this will work since I experienced the same thing before". I was told that if my car was still vibrating after trying the method mentioned then I could bring my car back and they would look for other problems. I have been coming to Nelsons for over 30 years and although the shop has changed hands, I still feel confident in trusting my repairs and service to the new owners and if I live another 30 years, then they would be the place I brought my cars to. I highly recommend you try Nelsons for all your auto needs.
