    Better Built Transmissions

My husband took his truck to have the transmission replaced. The first one we bought was not in…read moregood working order, which BetterBuilt advised us of before installing it, so we're thankful for that. They seem to have done a good job with the install of the second transmission, however they changed the price on us repeatedly and we feel taken advantage of. We were originally quoted $400 for the job (it's an F-150... not something that should be hard to quote) and once we payed to get it there, were told it was going to be more complicated and cost an additional $175 (what!!?). The shop eventually agreed to split the difference when we told them were going to take it to the junk yard since we didn't plan for, and couldn't afford, an increase in price by that much. THEN at pickup they charged us an extra $15 for 4 bolts they needed to add... seriously? And the icing on the cake... obviously most people work and can't get to the shop during business hours for pickup, and they wanted to charge us an extra $25 to pay over the phone - a service that is typically FREE at auto shop. We will NEVER use them again and will NEVER recommend them for these reasons... cheating us out of extra money is shady and poor business practice.

I…read moreended up here for three reasons - great reviews and star ratings, their detailed web page, and the fact that my Mercedes service shop let me down for the third time, claiming I wasn't there on the right day. (I was.) I called Mercedes Specialists, asked when was the soonest I could get in for a service, and they surprised me by being able to take my appointment that afternoon. That never happens! Terrific service from Sheila at the front desk, good discussion with the team, and they were enthused because this was the first time they'd had a new CLS450 in the shop. They talked about the engine, its differences from other recent Mercedes engines, and so on. They shared the expected service intervals for every service through 120,000 miles, and made two additional recommendations based on seeing a lot of older Mercedes with neglected service. The real kicker? Service A for $195 as a first time customer, but would have been only $215 otherwise compared to the $579 my dealer wanted to do the service, but couldn't provide, even though I'd scheduled a week ahead. I know where I'm going from now on. And based on the other cars at the shop, a lot of people seem to trust them.

This team is top notch, intelligent, and professional. Each person at Mercedes Specialists is smart enough to sit in an air conditioned office doing desk work as white collar professionals. We as a society are fortunate that they do what they do. Justin, Ian, Tom and the entire team are the best. Period. I've spent embarrassing amounts of money at dealerships and here. When the dealer destroyed my car, Mercedes Specialists meticulously trouble shot each issue and got my very old car up and running like it's a current model of the show room floor. Thank you, Mercedes Specialists!

I'm an 18 year old girl , that's right there probably can tell you that other than my car having 4 tires and a steering wheel i have no idea how to fix/ check anything else. My boyfriend that i'm very thankful for , decided to check my tire pressure just because i just got the car. I got a 2016 Hyundai Elantra , pretty small car , MY PSI WAS OVER 55 on all 4 tires. I found this out after we went to ocean city with 55 PSI and my low tire pressure light came on. We obviously figured i ran over a rock or something that was able to stab my tire and since it was too full with no give whatever i ran over was likely to puncture through, and it did. i already have a patch in one of my tires and every once in awhile i have to put air in another tire.. not too sure why yet. but needless to say don't be like me if you're going to buy a car from rob. ask AS MANY questions as you can. check everything you're able to check while you're there. AND DONT TAKE "oh he's my friend i trust him" as an answer. How do you own a used car lot as well as have a shop and not know to look on the inside of the door to find the right PSI. I don't know if he had it that high for show to make the tires look better or what but i ended up with a 3 1/2 inch construction nail in my back tire from this issue. If you're reading this review to decide whether or not to go there .. just don't.
