Better Buzz has so many great options! The Cinnamon Creme cold brew was on point. We always make it a point to stop at BB when we're in California. Always a great experience. I woke up in the morning about a quarter to nine, I was feeling super tired and I knew it was time. It was a busy day and I had a lot to do and; I was walking by the Better Buzz when I smelled something was brewing. Everything looked so dandy and sweet, I had no idea I was in for a treat. I took a step and I walked inside, then I looked at the menu while I waited in line. An iced vanilla bean latte was what I ordered that day. It was really, really good I was happy to say. The coffee was fresh and the feelings are good. This definitely wasn't a normal day in the hood. So if you're having one of those days that's kinda strange, go to Better Buzz if it's within your driving range. You'll like it and I promise that you'll feel enthused. Almost every time I come to here to pick up my mobile order, they've either forgotten to put an add on that I paid extra for, or would give me one drink and forget to make the other. Life's better buzzed! It truly is... Great little coffee shop. It's cozy, always lively, and most importantly just 3 blocks from the ocean. I've been here a few times and the line always goes very quickly. My favorite cups of coffee so far have been their honey, vanilla, and matcha lattes. Whether cold or hot they're all great. This time I saw a sign that showed they have a coconut matcha and it's my #1 fave at this point. Haven't tried the food yet but I just might do that on my next visit. This is where the Encinitas location comes in. WOW!!!! From the somewhat sleepy crowd of regulars between 4:30 and 7:00AM to the hustle and bustle peak tourist season, this place is simply money! The constant lines and packed cafe complete with laptops, pets, and flip flops is a constant example of customer experience firing on all cylinders. Why? Sure the customers and local vibe help, I mean it sits right on the busiest strip of PCH in SD county. But that's not it. It's the team of baristas and more importantly their local leader Bethany. I have been a business consultant focused on customer experience for nearly 25 years in SoCal. Bethany has that special something that simply can't be bought or taught. She genuinely loves people.......I mean ALL people. Her energy and spirit bring out the best in her team. They get the job done in high volume and still find time to connect with the guests. Bethany should be out in charge of the customer experience at every single store. Well - let's be realistic, maybe we start by having her teach other store managers how she creates the environment that produces the best Better Buzz in SoCal. Kudos to her and her team. Better Buzz has definitely gained a loyal following in Encinitas, but it's slightly over-hyped in my opinion. I recommend visiting at least once, but go in with an open mind. Their location, branding, layout, and interior design is top notch. They also are well-known for their craft coffee creations like the the "Hazelnut Divinity", "Best Drink Ever" and the "Mint Infused Ice Coffee". However, their cup sizes are way too large and it throws off the flavor ratios in more traditional drinks. Most of their drinks are also loaded with sugar, so consider ordering it "half sweet" or "one-fourth" sweet if you're not in the liquid dessert mood. If you're hungry, it's also a good spot for breakfast/lunch because they offer a handful of smoothie and açaí bowl options, plus sandwiches, avocado toast and assorted pastries. I've tried the gluten-free brownie and it was great! Overall- Better Buzz is worth checking out, but be sure to set your expectations accordingly. FOOD: very large avocado toast for $8-9. obviously still expensive for a toast, but they slather so much avocado on i can't be that mad. it's also not seasoned very well which is why i subtracted a star. She was rude to the people in front of us so we walked up with smiles having both worked decades in restaurants knowing it helps when the customers are nice. She wasn't having it. Rolled her eyes when we walked up and said hi how are you and responded what can I get for you. I wanted a hot matcha, not too sweet, ended up with maple matcha and forgot to say half sweet because I felt like I was wasting her time so I just went for it. Another great Better Buzz location! Due to it being on a main street, parking can be a little tough to find, but there's bound to be something if you circle around. Really open floor plan here that offers a good look into their bar area and a ton of seating for guests, which makes it a popular spot to socialize or work/study. The staff here was really friendly and were helpful with explaining the Better Buzz app that I highly recommend downloading if you frequent the company. We ordered the mint infused iced coffee, an iced horchata latte and the caprese. Though it was pretty busy, our order came out quick, and everything was great! Same Buzz, different location. Staff is excellent. Drinks are excellent. Treats are excellent. Parking is ehhh, but it's Encinitas, you know what's up. The only downside - and it's not the staff's fault - is Encinitas is falling prey to the same issues as PB. I was there to meet a friend and we had hoped to sit outside. Unfortunately the outside area was taken over by a constant stream of homeless people smoking cigarettes and posting up with their 7-11 coffees from down the block. Is that the fault of the staff? NO, but I do hope the town gets their act together to help the un-housed. read more

The open windows and spacious floor plan allow for fresh air, creating a very comfortable spot to spend your morning. I loved the matcha late and avocado toast. The matcha is on the sweet side but they will accommodate if you ask for it less sweet. The wifi is free and efficient, although I preferred to read & connect with a woman at the table next to me. What is not to love about this place?! I've been here several times and never have I been disappointed by anything I've ordered. The general vibe of the place is very relaxing and welcoming. They have lots of cute things to purchase to include coffee, apparel and mugs. There is also lots of seating indoor and outdoor. This place gets BUSY between 10-12. But you can order online if you're in a rush. Let's talk about menu: My go to drink on the menu is their Chai Tea latte! They ALWAYS ask what type of milk is preferred (which I think is awesome). Their Vanilla bean latte is also amazing! My go to food order is either the OG Açaí bowl or the Avocado toast. The portions are very filling and dishes are neatly presented! I've also tried Bacon Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich (delicious) and several of their fresh pastries.
