Just had lunch at the new Bebu coffee place in Placentia. I like the openness and the friendly workers. The food was good, but I had lunch. The only problem is the music is so loud there's no way you can sit with friends and have a conversation. It was my first time having better buzz coffee. I tried the banana pudding americano and it was PHENOMENAL! The yummiest coffee I've had in a while. The whole staff were so nice and sweet and very friendly. I also got the donut holes and they were filled with the yummiest custard. It was also very quiet and student friendly with so many tables. Wanted to check them out since they recently opened! Prices are a little steep but it was a decent chai tea. It was disappointing to come into the store, chat with a barista up front who, when I asked how she was, said "I'm ok, I've been sick all week so that hasn't been fun." Not a good look to have employees working while actively sick, it's unfair to the customers and to the other employees who have to work with her in such a confined workspace. We're about to head into cold/flu season, do better and don't have employees work while sick, especially in a food/beverage place! read more

Pricing is a little bit higher than Starbucks (more options for non coffee drinkers & food) After you order prepare to wait a minimum of 10 minutes and be close to the counter as you can barely hear your name. I ordered the ciabatta breakfast sandwich with bacon at Better Buzz, and it was awful--the bread was extremely hard, dry, and completely tasteless, to the point that it was inedible. Egg Bread, on the other hand, had a much better breakfast sandwich with a fresh bun and great overall flavor. Service was also a big letdown at Better Buzz. The environment felt chaotic, and the staff seemed unprepared and disorganized. There was no creamer available, and when we asked, they brought out a carton of half-and-half, let us use it, and then put it away. It really felt like everyone was just winging it. Horrible experience the minute I got to drive thru and ordered it started ok then the girl asked me for my name I gave it to her she said another weird name I told her no this is name I even had to spell it out for her the she started laughing like crazy she couldn't even take my order properly (on the receipt her name was Karen V ). Once I got to the window she was still laughing in the back and the guy who took my payment was laughing as well also she didn't put in our order and he still needed to remind her to put the order in and ask for the correct name. I've gone through the drive through two different times now with a pretty long line. The customer service is great and super quick. From start to finish I have never been in line longer than 5 minutes. The only thing lacking here is the coffee/price. I understand things are expensive now, but almost paying $7 for the most mediocre coffee twice is just not worth it to me when there's a Starbucks (also not my favorite) that is less than 2 minutes away from Better Buzz. I ordered the Horchata Latte twice now with whole milk substitute instead of almond milk, and both times the drink is extremely watered down coffee, and the drink is awful! I'd rather just make a coffee at home or go somewhere else. read more
