Wow, where do I start with this place. It was absolutely amazing. The pastries were nice, and the their milk cakes were some of the best cakes I have ever eaten. For the drinks I got the iced Date Cardamon latte and a Mango Matcha with Mango cold foam. They were some of the best drinks I've ever tasted. The Date Cardamon latte was a sweeter coffee that tasted amazing, while the matcha was a refreshing drink that also was really good. The service was top notch the owners would always check up on everyone and see if everything was okay, and even the workers treated me really nice. Finally the seating areas. The inside seating area is very clean and nice. It looks very fancy and has a very nice vibe with their Arabic music. This place was nearby as we were finishing up a sad errand in the area. We came inside to a cute little coffee shop. I ordered the hot rose cardamom latte in the large size, a za'atar croissant, a blueberry scone, and some cookies. The latte was good, but not as rose aromatic as I would've liked. The za'atar croissant was good (but as an Arab), it could've used some more za'atar. The addition of cheese in the middle was pleasant and surprising! The scone was just okay. The biscoff and chocolate chip cookies we purchased were delicious. The bill was $42 with those 2 drinks, 2 pastries, and 2 cookies. It was relatively reasonable but I can understand how it can be perceived as steep by some. I really like this coffee shop. The atmosphere is beautiful, the interior is stylish, and it's a place I genuinely enjoy visiting. Unfortunately, things have changed. The iced latte cups used to be noticeably larger. Recently, the cup size has been reduced, but the prices haven't. Today I ordered a large iced oat latte, yet it looked and felt like a small compared to the large iced lattes I buy from other coffee shops almost every day. I understand the economy is challenging and businesses are trying to stay profitable. But customers are dealing with the same economy too. Businesses shouldn't increase profits by quietly giving customers less while charging the same premium prices. If the portions are going to be smaller, the prices should come down. Otherwise, the large size should actually be a true large. I hope they reconsider this, because the café itself is beautiful and I'd love to continue supporting it. read more

As a long-time customer of their original Laguna Hills location since day one, I was excited to try this new spot, but the experience fell short of expectations. The Good: The Karak Chai was excellent. We enjoyed it enough to order two pots. The Food: The desserts were a letdown. The Dubai Cookie didn't feel fresh, as the vermicelli inside was hard, and the chocolate croissant was overly doughy. It was Friday evening, so perhaps they had been sitting out for a while. The Service: What was highly disappointing was that the cafe had zero plates for dine-in customers. Serving desserts in a sit-down cafe without even a paper plate option is completely unacceptable. There were plenty of tables available inside as well as outside. The Asian female employee was really friendly and helpful. She suggested a few coffee drinks, but I decided to get a large Cappuccino with oat milk. It was a bit pricey at $7.50 for a large, but it was the perfect temperature and delicious! I did want to try the Basque Cheesecake but they were sold out. When we were leaving, we met the owner and manager, Sherif. He asked us how everything was and if there was anything that could've been better. Everything was great! We both really appreciated his attentiveness and excellent customer service! We went there today during the late afternoon. The customer service is amazing! They suggested getting the Spanish latte for me. My daughter got an iced vanilla latte and my husband got an iced biscoff latte. All of our drinks were just okay. Out of the three, the Spanish latte would be the best one. Each latte felt a little less sweet than I am used to so the flavors were nice but I wanted more sweet and less watery. The location was clean. I hope this place does well. Yorba linda must be totally stoked for our 1st Pakistani/indian Coffee house. What mee n my twin got ~ Pistachio Spanish Latte asked for it hot. And Sheriff mentioned they can make it happen. The coffee wasn't sweet like usually how a Spanish latte is. But really strong since they use Turkish beans for their coffee. This drink is usually served ice but i was wanting something warm/hot this morning. I'm not sure if id suggest getting it hot/warm like myself. Looks like the pistachio cream was all on the bottom of the cup. Didn't realize i needed to stir it to fully enjoy my drink and taste the pistachio flavoring. They offer a varieties of delicious looking drinks and desserts. Sherif was going around letting guests try the London fog milk cake! Really moist delicious and not overly sweet! Staff were all so friendly. Manager Sherif wasn't expecting a line out the door when he opened the door. Because it was soft opening. There was a bit of a wait ordering along w receiving our items in a timely manner. Took about half an hour along i saw a few guests that was before and after myself waiting for their drinks. They only had 2 baristas working on the drinks and Sheriff taking and welcoming the guests. The interior is beautiful aesthetic design contemporary modern vibe. Went here today for their soft opening. Parking can be tricky but I found a spot right in the front. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. They just opened and there was already a line. In the future, it would be nice to be able to order ahead of time online. I had to wait for an hour for the signature chai. The employees were very friendly, but I expect the signature drink to be ready to go when the store opens. I understand it's their first day and they're still trying to find their routine. I hope next time the drinks will come out faster. That said, the chai is really good, so I'll forgive the time. Haven't tried the pastries or coffee drinks, so I'll have to come back. Beautiful inside! Clean, modern, and my host said "smells good." Not like Pine Sol good, like coffee good. Karak wisely invested in a La Marzocco espresso machine. It is to espresso what Sophia Loren was to beauty. Hand made in Florence Italy and engineered for perfection. On this day I had drip coffee, my test for a coffee place. It was way too strong, almost thick, like the brewer expected the patron to add a half pint of sugary creamy adulterations. I could not swallow it. Incredible coffee shop! I visited when they first opened and while I typically order hot coffee drinks, I decided to try something new--the cashier suggested mango cold foam matcha when I asked what the popular iced matcha drinks were. I love mango. And, I couldn't resist picking up a pistachio rose cookie next to the cashier and adding that to compliment my drink because the name is intriguing, and the look of their cookies is delectable and mouth watering! After all, I deserved it after the long work day I had driving all over SoCal, and I needed to get a full experience of this new place. It's beautiful inside and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The mango cold foam matcha was unexpectedly pretty sweet and didn't have a strong matcha flavor, even after stirring quite a bit. It reminded me of cereal milk at first and then had a stronger matcha finish. The pistachio rose cookie was soft, chewy and had a fabulous smell and taste. I love that they start open late. Nice coffee shop! Its pretty big and spacious inside with lots of tables and seating. Great place to work or chat with friends. The staff is also very friendly. There was a good selection of drinks and pastries to choose from as well. We got the date cardamom latte and the rose saffron latte. I like the date syrup they used in the drink and it goes very well with the cardamom. I don't eat/drink a lot of saffron so im not sure how strong the saffron is supposed to be but the rose saffron latte mostly tasted like rose. I have been to the Karak in Laguna Niguel and tried Dubai Chocolate there for the first time. When I heard they were opening one closer to home, I got excited. So I had to come to their grand opening on June 13, 2026! It's literally on the corner of Bastanchury and Imperial Hwy. Parking was pretty ample as there are other small businesses in the plaza. When we walked in, it was a bit awkward. Everyone just stared at us. I'm sure there were a lot of family members and friends of the owners, but that was not welcoming. Just a stare, not smiles or hello! If I was the owner, I would be welcoming everyone who came in, no matter what time of the day it was - on grand opening day. Music was good because I love Arabic, Persian, and Indian music. They did have a DJ for the occasion. There was no line, so we walked straight up to the cashier and the barista was very nice and welcoming. She helped answered my questions as I was looking for a drink with the white cream that I saw in the Instagram story. I ended up with the Pistachio Spanish Cold Foam Latte. I was disappointed at how pricey it was; $8.50! And I wanted oat milk which was an additional $0.75. Ouch! The drink itself was good - I asked for less sweet. Our barista made it good. My sister had the iced large matcha tea latte and her drink was $6.75. She did add vanilla syrup which was $0.75 additional. Again pricey, but why was hers a bit cheaper than mine when the cup size was the same and both are specialty coffees. Maybe cause mine had pistachio? When we left, I saw they had a Photo Booth. I love those! But, it was so uncomfortable when I was taking the picture because these women were staring at me and just sitting there. Not chatting, not drinking coffee. Just sitting there staring. Since it's World Cup season, they even set up a large TV outside, which showed they were thinking about their customers and creating a fun atmosphere. I wish I could give it more stars but being opened for 1 week, it didn't give them enough time to test out everything such as making your drinks. I needed to find a coffee shop to meet up for a coffee date with a friend to meet half ways and found this place on yelp. What drew me to pick this place was how unique and pretty the indoor decor was, love to support small business and finding out that it was Pakistani/Indian flavors. Parking could be hard to find since it is in a plaza shared with other restaurants. However, the guy taking our orders was very friendly and greeted everyone with a smile. He was very helpful in choosing which coffee to try for first time. BUT our order took almost an hour! It was the 4 of us, 4 drinks and some pastries. They are clearly not ready and be prepared to wait over 30 minutes for your coffee. When you walk up to pick up the order, the staff looked confused and they were not organized as we had to walk up several times to pick up our drinks and food. All the pastries we got were not fresh. It tasted dry, stale and cold. It would have been a little better if they warmed it up but it was not fresh, maybe couple days old. We were all pretty disappointed in that. I ordered the Iced Rose Saffron Latte with oatmilk and my friend ordered a regular Vanilla Latte with regular milk. However, she said it her coffee tasted it was with oatmilk and not milk. She didn't want to say anything and barely touched her coffee. Overall, we would not come back. Would have posted photos but coffee and pastries are nothing to rave about. Found this place by accident while driving home from the Nixon library and wanted some coffee. This was the closest place. I must say the place is very nice and the people are friendly. The best part is the Coffee. The coffee is strong and tastes great. The best cappuccino I have had in a long time. The honey lavender late was also great. The 2 stars have nothing to do with the service. Everyone in there was great. First, they dont open until 9 on a Saturday, pretty late for a coffee shop. Second, it was so hot in there at 945am, it was uncomfortable. Third, the coffee was good ( I got an iced Spanish pistachio latte, mind you one size only, large, for 8.50) which was no larger than the small hot honey latte my friend got for $7.00, but I can get those coffees that are just as good elsewhere for cheaper. They do have some specific flavors (cardamom, lavender) so if that is your thing you might go here just for that. Though the cakes look good, that is not what I go to a coffee spot for, not what draws me there. I probably would not venture there again, mainly because I don't feel it is worth the price for something I can get elsewhere. The Biscoff milk cake is a must-try - so soft and rich, it literally melts in your mouth. The pistachio cheese cake!!! My god it's probably the best cheese cake I ever had. Well balanced flavors with a touch of rose and biscoff crust. Chai is wonderful I traditionally enjoy mine warm. The place went through an extensive redesign and makes you want to relax, knock out a couple emails, and watch the cars attempt to make the blind right turn off imperial and bastanchury. From the dark wood, and tan cushioned seating, to the modern decorative fireplace/lighting and even what they did outside with new patio furniture sat under the green cloth awning, this place looks like a swanky and relaxing place to have a treat. ***Dessert: Karak House is not messing around. They have these beautiful milk cakes in interesting flavors (ex: London Fog), and other special desserts like Biscoff cheesecake and pistachio cheesecake. Of course they have the typical coffee house pastries also, like my son happily enjoyed a chocolate croissant, but these desserts is what makes this place stand out. ***Friendly Service: We came in on a weekend and it was busy! While we waited in line, the manager (maybe the owner) came by and thanked us for waiting. The friendly service was continued as we ordered and you could feel in the air that everyone working there wanted to be there. As Karak House stands in my book right now, I'd come back here if I wanted to have a special dessert with family/friends in a nice, swanky space. The service was great once we were actually helped. The Biscoff cheesecake was definitely on the very sweet side, but you can tell it's made with good quality ingredients. The mango cold foam matcha was something different and surprisingly really good. You do need to stir it first, otherwise you mostly get the sweet mango flavor at the beginning.
