This is a really good study spot! Many outlets were available and the seats were comfortable. I prefer this spot over other chains because the coffee is always on point and consistent. It tends to be a little sweet though so I'd get less sweet! read more

Butter Buzz Coffee is such a cute spot! The staff was so sweet and made the whole visit feel extra welcoming. Also loved how clean and cozy it felt. This place opened up about a month ago and is always busy. We tried them out Sunday morning. The overall quality of the drink was decent but the inside was a bit dirty. The tables have not been cleared off. They were out of napkins and warm drink sleeves. Their food labels were not correct/updated. The seasonal scone said seasonal danish...the customer service was okay. I paid close to $20 for two drinks and a scone. The scone was a bit dry, could use a dab of cream. Maybe that should be offered with it. Overall our experience was mediocre because of things mentioned. read more

Seems to be a popular site so we went there for coffee. 9 am on Saturday morning and there wasn't much wait inside but drive thru was busy. We ordered two drip coffees but literally had to wait and ask for our coffees for 10 minutes and I think it's because we didn't tip for ordering two drips and the coffee urns were right behind the cashier and after we asked for our coffees after 10 minutes, she reluctantly turned around and poured them for us. Pretty busy store so if you are looking for a cozy ambiance to sit down and enjoy a conversation, this might not be the place. read more

The drink is okay, you can tell low quality matcha is used and that it is okay in a pinch, but if you want good quality matcha this is NOT the spot. Service here is AWFUL, the woman working the window is incredibly rude and didn't let me do the tip thing myself, she better not have given herself a tip because she did not deserve it. I went here a few times but after this I don't think I will be giving them my business again, just ridiculous to have such low quality customer service with no manners at all. No comment on the ambiance since I've never been inside. Terrible service, drink is okay. read more

Hot coffee on a rainy day, yes please! First time visit. Walked in into this spacious and well lit space with windows all around, thinking good place to sit, do some work, and have coffee. Greeted and informed about their menu which was conveniently displayed at entrance, behind the counter, and at the counter. Ordered the lavender tea latte and pistachio croissant, which were okay. I finally tried the hyped new coffee spot in my neighborhood. The space is modern, bright, and inviting, with good music and a nice vibe. Unfortunately, the ordering process was confusing, and as a first-time customer, I felt rushed when asking for recommendations. I ordered a Hazelnut Divinity, the "Best Drink Ever," and a kids' vanilla steamed milk. The Hazelnut Divinity was very good, but the other two drinks were disappointing--no sweetness and no flavor. After a long wait, that was frustrating. When I mentioned the issue, the barista responded with noticeable attitude, which really took away from the experience. Such a cute and cozy spot in Placentia! I came here to meet up with friends and absolutely loved the vibe. The staff is friendly, the space is bright, and it's the perfect place to grab coffee, chat, or get a little work done. I ordered a coffee and I tried the Hazelnut Divinity drink and it was really good! The flavor is delicious and smooth -- I just personally prefer it a little less sweet. With less sugar, it would be absolutely perfect for me. I also tried their pistachio pastry and avocado toast -- SO delicious!! The pastry was flaky with just the right amount of sweetness, and the avocado toast was super fresh and flavorful. Everything felt high quality and made with care. Definitely a new favorite coffee spot in Orange County. Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu! Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, yummy place to hang out. Tonight (December 12) is the 3rd time I've been to this place and the 2nd time I've been disappointed... The first time we went here we drove through, and everything was fine. I'm not even going to try and act like I didn't like the coffee because truly it was delicious but unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. The second time I went here was December 7 and the drive-thru line was about 15 cars long, so I parked and went inside. There was a small line, but I definitely didn't think that it would take as long as it did. There was only 3 or 4 parties in front of me, I waited for (what seemed like) about 10 minutes and ended up walking out because they still hadn't even helped the person in front of me yet. Tonight I drove thru, it was about 40 minutes before closing, I was the only car in the drive-thru. I pulled up and ordered a cold brew (plain cold brew in a cup, no ice) when I got up to the window to pay, they charged me exactly 1 dollar more than the price on the menu. I almost asked why it was more, but I wanted to make sure that I read the menu right. (I went back later that night, and looked at the menu that is outside of the building) and yes, I was correct. I was charged exactly 1 dollar more than the price on the menu. I also looked at some pictures on Yelp of the menus that are inside the restaurant, and it states the exact same thing. This is not about the dollar, I could care less about the dollar, I would not have taken the dollar back in that moment if they would babe offered me the dollar back (and I also tipped on my order) but questioning, the price is about the point. Customers should not be overcharged in any capacity. If something is $4.99 on the menu, we should be charged $4.99. I didn't have time in the moment to turn around and go back so I called. The employee who answered the phone was so incredibly condescending and rude. I asked if they charge more for the drink if someone doesn't order ice (I could maybe understand that because without ice you are getting more product) but she said no it's the same price so I said well I just drove through and I was charged one dollar more than what is on the menu and I even told her, it's not about the dollar it's about the point! Don't advertise a price and then over charge people, that is not right. She could NOT have cared less.. she started making excuses about how all of the cold brews are different, and said "I don't know what you ordered (even-though I already stated i ordered a plain cold brew, no cold foam, no sweeteners, no ice, nothing added, i the smallest size I was offered. I then asked "what is the cold brew that's on your menu for $4.99?" and her response was "all of the cold brews are different" and again I reiterate, "well what is a plain cold brew then?" She was annoyed and I could hear it in her voice. She was wanting to get off the phone, but didn't offer me an explanation or a solution. If I was her, as an employee I would want to make it right. I would also want to figure out why it happened, and would even go as far as taking a look at the menu myself and maybe even entering a "cold brew" into the system, and see what the price comes up in the register... Maybe it's entered wrong? But, like I said, she could care less and her condescending, disrespectful attitude spoke volumes. I don't know how many items this place sells each day, but if they are overcharging on even a few items, that can really add up quickly. read more

The new Better Buzz Coffee Placentia location has such a spacious indoor setup, which is perfect for solo time, getting work done, or catching up with friends. Tons of seating options that aren't crammed together and to really connect. While there, I briefly conversed with another lovely customer while I was waiting for my drinks, then delivered the order to friends who live in the city. Happy to see this location up and running! I've been to better buzz a few times in Fullerton and SD. Not sure I completely understand the hype. In my opinion drinks are not my favorite and a bit over priced but I am still exploring menu and giving it a try. I ordered Killer Bee and wouldn't not recommend. Maybe just the medium roast or something but taste was not good. Also get EXTRA ICE if you actually want a cold drink my regular drink had only a few ice cubes which quickly melted... The syrups they use are Monin brand I believe just a psa. SF Hazelnut was not my favorite. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else hopefully it will be more delightful I will say service was great! Workers were all very nice and efficient. I'm sure this location will do great! Lots of room inside for getting work done. Drive thru is also convenient. read more

Service here is friendly, helpful, and quick! They have a large menu, so I'd recommend you check it out before going to not hold up the line like I did. The ambiance is modern and fun for meeting with others. There are numerous areas to sit and chat. I'd say if you have a group of 2-3 you'll have an easier time finding seating but you can always move chairs around. During the busy times it gets packed but it did seem that people cycled out when they were done. I came in with three children and a stroller not expecting the crowd. But it was manageable with me standing for a bit. Another group had to wait a bit to get a table. The pastries and coffees were good. I typically make my own coffee at home and felt the caramel latte and pumpkin spice were on par. I also asked for them half sweet and they were still delicious. Right behind them is a local donut shop so you can pick from their wide selection and then get a nice coffee from here. I haven't utilized the drive through but it's really convenient that they have one! read more

Attended the Friends & Family event via RSVPify today at Better Buzz Coffee. We were super excited to get in and receive a sneak peek at some great drinks and menu items ahead of tomorrow's Grand Opening. I had a Snickerdoodle latte which they made for me with nonfat milk and decaf. It was a little slice of heaven and such a special drink. I also shared the breakfast sandwich and that was very good. The place is really cute inside and it's big. I can see hitting this up as one of our new snack/coffee spots where the kid does his homework and I drink coffee before after-school activities. The people were all VERY nice and working their a$$es off. We'll definitely be back. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Update: Now that they are open, I came in again. The little guy had a swim lesson after school 50 minutes after I picked him up, so rather than waste 10 mins in the car back home and 10 mins in the car back to the same area, we went over to Better Buzz. I was right, it's a good place to do homework and have a coffee. I ordered a decaf Americano and savored the perfect temp of my coffee as we sat at a big table and my kid went to work. It was fairly busy but there were lots of tables. Service was fast and the people are just as nice as during the opening. I love having a new coffee option in the area. It's not cheap, so this would not be my choice for an every-day kind-of place, but when the little guy wants an acai bowl and I want a coffee and we both want a place to do homework in the area, this is a great option! read more

I tried this place on a whim since I needed to get some work done, but the library wasn't open yet. I gotta hand it to them, not only is the coffee actually good (I got the Best Drink Ever/Half-Sweetened), but it was spacious, clean, and the perfect place to get some work done. Once I asked her to remake the right order, her face turned dark and she was clearly upset. At the end she brought the cups, did not even apologize, gave me all the attitude, and gave me the bags and did not say anything... no thank you for coming, NO sorry there was a mistake, nothing. I felt really bad for the owner of this place because store seems to be new and running well but has a cancer in their store. The restaurant can have best price, best quality, best presentation but if you have horrible customer service oriented staff, they will run out of business. Coffee is alright but twice now the service has been not great. We ordered on the app and both times we came and got in the drive thru a few minutes early due to the fact that there was a line. As a customer, when you have a pick up time, sometimes it's hard to gauge how fast the long line is going to take to get through. Both times we were a few minutes early. And both times they made it a point to let us know we were too early and that they would have to push our order through inconveniently and to have us "drive to the window as slow as possible." They then stuck the coffee out the window for us to grab and then turned around and shut the window before we could even say thank you. The attitude was off putting to say the least. If the pick up time is that critically time sensitive maybe there should be reserved pick up spots for us to pull into while we wait for our order instead of making us feel bad. read more

I've visited the Fullerton location previously, but I was in the area of the Placentia location earlier today. I went in to order the same drink from before, the "Matcha Buzz" with some alterations. I was exuberant with my experience. I spoke with Andrew and he was very kind and helpful! Since my drink was very specific, he took it into his own hands and made it himself to ensure the quality of my drink was exceptional. Just got home from Better Buzz to get my afternoon lunch. I got the Turkey Pesto sandwich with avocado and sliced tomato. It was perfectly toasted. It was hot, the cheese all melted, and the bread was so crispy this time. I don't know what they did different, but it tasted so good. The tomatoes and avocado were the perfect addition.I love going through the Better Buzz drive thru; everyone at the drive window is so nice and always thoughtful of the customer's needs and wants. Honestly an amazing coffee spot. I've had my fair share of coffee and snacks out in the bay area yet when I came down to so-cal and tried this spot it blew my mind. If you're going to Better Buzz, don't go inside. I ordered two drinks and waited over 30 minutes in an almost empty café while the drive-through was prioritized. When I finally asked about my order, they said they had to take care of the drive-through first. The drinks were then made in under a minute.
