Such a cute and cozy spot in Placentia! I came here to meet up with friends and absolutely loved the vibe. The staff is friendly, the space is bright, and it's the perfect place to grab coffee, chat, or get a little work done. I ordered a coffee and I tried the Hazelnut Divinity drink and it was really good! The flavor is delicious and smooth -- I just personally prefer it a little less sweet. With less sugar, it would be absolutely perfect for me. I also tried their pistachio pastry and avocado toast -- SO delicious!! Tonight (December 12) is the 3rd time I've been to this place and the 2nd time I've been disappointed... The first time we went here we drove through, and everything was fine. I'm not even going to try and act like I didn't like the coffee because truly it was delicious but unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. The second time I went here was December 7 and the drive-thru line was about 15 cars long, so I parked and went inside. There was a small line, but I definitely didn't think that it would take as long as it did. There was only 3 or 4 parties in front of me, I waited for (what seemed like) about 10 minutes and ended up walking out because they still hadn't even helped the person in front of me yet. Tonight I drove thru, it was about 40 minutes before closing, I was the only car in the drive-thru. I pulled up and ordered a cold brew (plain cold brew in a cup, no ice) when I got up to the window to pay, they charged me exactly 1 dollar more than the price on the menu. I almost asked why it was more, but I wanted to make sure that I read the menu right. (I went back later that night, and looked at the menu that is outside of the building) and yes, I was correct. I was charged exactly 1 dollar more than the price on the menu. I also looked at some pictures on Yelp of the menus that are inside the restaurant, and it states the exact same thing. This is not about the dollar, I could care less about the dollar, I would not have taken the dollar back in that moment if they would babe offered me the dollar back (and I also tipped on my order) but questioning, the price is about the point. Customers should not be overcharged in any capacity. If something is $4.99 on the menu, we should be charged $4.99. I didn't have time in the moment to turn around and go back so I called. The employee who answered the phone was so incredibly condescending and rude. I asked if they charge more for the drink if someone doesn't order ice (I could maybe understand that because without ice you are getting more product) but she said no it's the same price so I said well I just drove through and I was charged one dollar more than what is on the menu and I even told her, it's not about the dollar it's about the point! Don't advertise a price and then over charge people, that is not right. She could NOT have cared less.. she started making excuses about how all of the cold brews are different, and said "I don't know what you ordered (even-though I already stated i ordered a plain cold brew, no cold foam, no sweeteners, no ice, nothing added, i the smallest size I was offered. I then asked "what is the cold brew that's on your menu for $4.99?" and her response was "all of the cold brews are different" and again I reiterate, "well what is a plain cold brew then?" She was annoyed and I could hear it in her voice. She was wanting to get off the phone, but didn't offer me an explanation or a solution. If I was her, as an employee I would want to make it right. I would also want to figure out why it happened, and would even go as far as taking a look at the menu myself and maybe even entering a "cold brew" into the system, and see what the price comes up in the register... Maybe it's entered wrong? But, like I said, she could care less and her condescending, disrespectful attitude spoke volumes. I don't know how many items this place sells each day, but if they are overcharging on even a few items, that can really add up quickly. read more

Service here is friendly, helpful, and quick! They have a large menu, so I'd recommend you check it out before going to not hold up the line like I did. The ambiance is modern and fun for meeting with others. There are numerous areas to sit and chat. I'd say if you have a group of 2-3 you'll have an easier time finding seating but you can always move chairs around. During the busy times it gets packed but it did seem that people cycled out when they were done. I came in with three children and a stroller not expecting the crowd. But it was manageable with me standing for a bit. Another group had to wait a bit to get a table. The pastries and coffees were good. I typically make my own coffee at home and felt the caramel latte and pumpkin spice were on par. I also asked for them half sweet and they were still delicious. Right behind them is a local donut shop so you can pick from their wide selection and then get a nice coffee from here. I haven't utilized the drive through but it's really convenient that they have one! read more

Happy to see this location up and running! I've been to better buzz a few times in Fullerton and SD. Not sure I completely understand the hype. In my opinion drinks are not my favorite and a bit over priced but I am still exploring menu and giving it a try. I ordered Killer Bee and wouldn't not recommend. Maybe just the medium roast or something but taste was not good. Also get EXTRA ICE if you actually want a cold drink my regular drink had only a few ice cubes which quickly melted... The syrups they use are Monin brand I believe just a psa. SF Hazelnut was not my favorite. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else hopefully it will be more delightful I will say service was great! Workers were all very nice and efficient. Attended the Friends & Family event via RSVPify today at Better Buzz Coffee. We were super excited to get in and receive a sneak peek at some great drinks and menu items ahead of tomorrow's Grand Opening. I had a Snickerdoodle latte which they made for me with nonfat milk and decaf. It was a little slice of heaven and such a special drink. I also shared the breakfast sandwich and that was very good. The place is really cute inside and it's big. I can see hitting this up as one of our new snack/coffee spots where the kid does his homework and I drink coffee before after-school activities. I drove by this cute coffee shop recently and thought- that's cute. I need to try that place. I came in and was the only person in line and was not greeted by anyone. Ok- no biggie. I know things get busy. Then I waited at least 8 minutes for my order to be taken. I've now waited 10 minutes for my drink and a drink from the people who ordered after me has been made. I started this while still inside. It's seems people are cleaning up and restocking and no one has made a drink for about 4 minutes. It also pretty warm inside. I'm still waiting for my drink. Only one more drink has been made while I've been waiting. This has been a disappointing first time. Second drink of the order after me is now done and two more drinks of the people who ordered after me were made before mine. It took about 12 minutes to get my drink made. Let me start off by telling you guys that I've always loved Better Buzz -- I used to drive all the way to San Diego just to get it, and I still genuinely love the brand and their coffee. That's why it's disappointing to say this location hasn't lived up to the standard I know they're capable of. Out of five visits, only my first drive-thru experience went smoothly. The other times, my order was incorrect (even after I double-checked it), and I've had to come inside to fix it. On one visit, I asked for a straw and was told to grab it myself from a crowded area, which felt a bit dismissive. I don't mind paying premium prices for great coffee! I happily have for years and always will but consistent service issues make it hard to justify. The location itself is beautiful, but the overall vibe and service just haven't matched the Better Buzz experience I'm used to. I truly hope this location improves because I'll always be a fan of the brand! read more

Looks crazy in store, trash bins are so full and dirty. It is only 3:30pm, the floor does not look clean. The pastry showcase is massy too, some cookie and muffin fell on the bottom of showcase. When I heard Better Buzz was coming to town, I was SO excited! My first time trying BB was 10+ years ago when I was down in San Diego and I am so happy they have made their way up to OC! I took the chance and went on opening day. I went through their drive thru (so ideal) and it was only about a 10 minute wait-way quicker than I anticipated! The staff from ordering to receiving our drinks were all super friendly. Their coffee is top notch and they have such a great and fun variety of drinks to fit every season! I tried their Gingerbread Best Drink Ever and it tasted like Christmas in a cup! I always stick to my usual caramel vanilla latte and I'm so glad I tried something new! This was my first time ever visiting a Better Buzz Coffee! I came in early in the morning for my coffee before work and surprisingly it wasn't as busy. There were a couple cars in the drive thru so I came inside. I was greeted when I came in and the place was extremely clean and inviting! There definitely was a lot to choose from on the menu so I just went with a safe bet and got one of their latest spring drinks (the Banana Pudding latte). Kat helped us out and her service was impeccable and very hospitable! She guided me through the menu and told me about the place since it was my first time and even introduced me to her other manager Jess who was so friendly! I was so excited to see the sign for construction when this better buzz was being built. I used to visit Better Buzz when I would vacation in San Diego in college. I come here often since opening. The staff is great and super friendly. They get to know me my name and try to remember my drink orders. I have brought many friends and family members here and they all love it. I usually get the vanilla latte but today I tried a mocha latte for the first time. My kids love the acacia bowl and the chocolate banana bread. Very unhelpful with answering menu questions and the cashier walked away as I was trying to pay at the register even though the payment wasn't going through and never came back. Had to walk over to the pick up area and flag down someone since the employees still wouldn't help me on that side. Finally got her attention and said I still need to pay.
