They are no longer in action! They were great the few times I got to use their service, but then they could not be reached!

I chose take out so I placed my order and then went shopping next door. They had bar seating and tables and one bigger table for larger parties. It's not a huge restaurant. The meatballs are good here. You can get them as a sandwich, with pastas or just meatballs alone. They also have vegan version as well. The store is pretty good. Frozen stuff including their meatballs and lots of other stuff. Hot sauce, chips and more.

It's one of those places where you walk in thinking you're just grabbing a tea/coffee and a quick bite and suddenly you're deciding between getting a quinoa bowl, bagel sandwich, oatmeal, salad or falafel. Somehow, they pull off the menu for every eating lifestyle without feeling cramp. It works for everybody. They have your breakfast basics covered: eggs, rolls, wraps, toast or whatever carb you're in the mood for. If you have a sweet tooth, they have pastries, if you're on a 'healthy' kick, they have bowls. I had The Lox Works and it actually lived up to the name. Plenty of salmon, red onions, a sliver of creamy cream cheese how I like it (I skipped the capers, personal choice). The bagel itself was fresh and had that perfect crisp on the outside and a chewy inside. Except, it's little on the doughy side, and the tomato slices were also thick- but still, the sandwich was tasty. Service was great and considering Nana's is literally on the main strip in Woodstock, the prices are surprisingly chill. Just solid food, good vibes and the kind of spot you end up going back to without even meaning to.

The lay out of the store is intuitive, deeply organized without being clunky with modern design objects from stand outs like Kinto products and feminist posters and products like GladRags. I echo previous reviews that the downfall is ultimately customer service. There's zero. I didn't see the sign with no photos and was going to take photos of products friends and colleagues designed (a book by a Black woman farmer & a card by a queer illustrator) and tag them and the store. Moments before a young child was very quiet and doing no harm, the person working register snapped at the child. For zero reason. Fast forward to me but 5 minutes later taking photos of art when I get screamed at, very much like a child. I'm a 40 year old person and was going to purchase products for friends & promote independent artists. Woodstock is welcoming and known to be cutting edge in music and culture, but this white woman did not get the memo. As someone who's waited tables, done service work, and work currently directly with people, I can tell you the worker's abrupt and loud volume caught all the customers off guard. I want to support local small business and women workers, but this was one rudeness after another. Today they were supposed to close at 6pm, every website and yelp says they are open. My partner gets there at 3:30pm and they are closed with a hand written sign of early closure. It's pretty evident the business or person working doesn't mind missing out on supporting the local and great vendors they sell. To be doubly snippy and close early without notice? The irony is that it's a great concept with remarkable cutting edge earth-friendly merchandise but the customer service is terrible. What a waste! I'll try to go back and might buy something if a different worker is there in case my experience was an anomaly.

This place knows how to make real good food. When we first walked in the staff seemed busy with lots of pizza delivery orders so we were expecting to wait but they told us it would be just a few minutes to get both of our subs. I ordered the Italian mix sub and he ordered the god father sub, we both got an Italian soda and a bag of chips. The total was $45 which at first I thought was a little steep but when we got our to-go order and saw the sizes I was blown away. These subs are MASSIVE. And DELICIOUS!!! I could barely finish half of a half at first. I had the rest for dinner and then shared the other half for lunch today. It's a sweet spot to stop for a quick bite on the way or to take on the road with you. They also have pizza by the slice for an even quicker option which can be taken on the road or they have a few tables to dine at. They have an excellent selection of drinks in the coolers like Italian flavored sodas, Brazilian sodas, and your typical Arizona teas and coke or Pepsi products. We were so impressed and sort of disappointed we'd held out so long on stopping by this place. Highly recommend. Portion sizes are large so that is something to consider but the prices are fair and the quality is top notch. Also I'd be remiss not to mention how kind and friendly the staff was despite being so busy. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza!

And, while it is…read morewell worth the visit, there are some who consider this place is atrocious as they come. That being said, it is considered to be one of the treasures on this side of Kingston, NY on Route 28 and what it lacks in atmos, it makes up for in true star quality. This isn't my fave and thin, Patsy's Pizzeria in E. Harlem- but Steve's certainly does the job. Plus, these folks use FRESH mushroom and not canned crap for crying out loud. In all the years we've driven by here to head to Woodstock, I almost felt embarrassed that we've never noticed. But I picked up a plain slice and a mushroom in the middle of the afternoon since I was in the area already. You know how you go to some pizza shop and the pizza looks scraggly and almost dried because they've been sitting out all day? These don't. While they are placed on the partitioned glass shelf, somehow, Steve's pizza looks fresh and the finished product, tastes even better. In the 10 or so minutes it took me to get home, our 2 slices were still hot and traveled well. It's a bit doughy than what I like but it hit the spot. Honestly though, Steve's has a humble community feel that makes it exactly the kind of hangout you want to go to for shits and giggles.
