This is by far the worst delivery service I've ever had the displeasure of working with. Avoid at all costs. Added photos of text conversation for proof. I will also be letting the vendor know how terrible their chosen delivery service is. I ordered a package which required signature. On 8/14 I receive a text that they're outside my door. I let them know I'm at work. They respond with "what time works best?" I respond Friday (8/16). They say they will deliver it then. 8/15, I get a voicemail saying I missed the delivery again (what happened to delivering Friday?) and that I should contact better trucks to set up a delivery time and date. Whatever, it's supposed to come 8/16. 8/16, no delivery. I text the original guy back, he doesn't respond. 8/19, I try to contact better trucks, which I have no idea where to go as their website is complete trash. No answer. I send an email regarding my package. I also text the original driver. He says he will have his manager call me on 8/20 to set up a delivery time. 8/20, No response from my email to customer service. No call from the manager. 8/21, I get an email that my package has been sent back.... wtf? I call customer service, they don't answer. I call back again and they pick up. They tell me the package was loaded up to be sent back already and there's nothing they can do. Avoid this company at all costs. Mistakes happen, delays happen. We're not expecting perfection, but you can really tell the level of service a company has to offer when they don't even respond to your messages. Give it a try, email customer_support@bettertrucks.com and be amazed at the lack of response you'll get. I emailed them on December 7th, no response, I then sent a reminder email on December 10th, still no response. I contacted them on their Twitter on the December 10th, no response, I contacted them on LinkedIn both via the message system and leaving comments on public posts, also on December 10th, no response. I even went as far as to contact the company on their website contact us form which said they will respond within 24 hours, still no response. I'm not the only one, the reviews on Yelp as well as looking through the comments on their LinkedIn profile will show people in the same situation as I am, people who are not getting anything. I'm based in the UK and I sent a parcel to someone living in America, and upon reaching the US, BetterTrucks picked up the parcel. I did not choose BetterTrucks, unfortunately either my courier has a deal with this company or it was simply the "best" option available. The first time a company used Better Trucks to deliver an item to my home (July of this year) the delivery person put the package in my mailbox at the end of my driveway instead of on my porch. The U.S. postman found it in my mailbox and took it back to the post office, because delivery people are not to ever put their deliveries in people's mailboxes. The post office wanted $8.43 cents to deliver it to me. I refused to pay the post office and got my money back from the seller. Today a neighbor I don't know, received my package from another company who used Better Trucks to deliver a package. I was just lucky they were honest and brought the package to our house the day they received it. At least my neighbor was able to find the correct home to bring the package to. You would think that being able to read and match addresses would be a criteria for being hired by a delivery company! Apparently a company I have used many times without a problem is now contracting with better trucks for deliveries. My shipment was supposedly out for delivery very early this morning. I was at home when they say the delivery attempt was made. There was no attempt. I just got another delivery attempt message. I was sitting on my front porch! This is even worse than Fed-Ex! The only thing I ever heard back was "We're working to locate your package and will let you know." I never heard back after further attempts to contact. The items in my delivery were refunded by the sender, but I wasn't able to get it reshipped as they were one of a kind. I ordered something on Etsy that was delivered by them. The package was stolen. I assumed it was someone in my building or a person at the bus stop in front of my entry that stole it because that tends to happen. The Etsy seller generously sent me a replacement and it was stolen AGAIN. This time I got a picture from Better Trucks of where the package was left, but I went outside not 10 minutes after it was delivered and it was gone. I cannot believe that it wasn't the driver that took it. Packages are typically stolen from the main entrance, but never from the side entrance where the package was left the second time. The WORST delivery company ever! We regularly purchase from online websites for our business, and have the packages delivered to our business. Several times we have found random packages in our planters, stuck behind walls and even left out on the busy street sidewalk upon opening for the day. We've been told that better trucks doesn't pay their drivers unless a delivery is made, causing them to leave packages outside our closed building. We've even had a few stolen because they were again, left on a busy street where anyone could grab it from 5pm-9am. I find this unacceptable. Other companies try and redeliver when we are open, not just drop the package somewhere and hope we find it. I'll be contacting our suppliers and asking them to switch to DHL. Delivery info shows a pic of it on my porch. This company must hire gorillas to handle their freight since I had a small, but heavy package (a mini-court pickleball net and frame) delivered from Los Angeles to central Washington State (took about 4 days) and in that time the entire ends of the shipping box and the product box were mangled - I could see the components of the net and frame through the ripped ends (I have no idea if parts were damaged or missing). HORRID! Almost unbelievably so. A few months ago, a seafood order I placed came into the Minneapolis hub which is within 30 miles of the final delivery address (vendor uses BetterTrucks for the last-mile delivery) -- and Better Trucks drove it to Detroit Michigan instead. Needless to say, when it did get back here, it was spoiled and had to be destroyed. Today again, shipment arrived in the hub before 8:00am, sat there and didn't go "out for delivery" until after 4:00pm -- and now, 9:00pm at night, it's been sitting 40+ miles north of here, in someone's private vehicle since that's what they use. Tracking map showed that it went right past my city. I won't get it tonight, obviously, and it will no doubt be spoiled again by morning.
