At our initial appointment, they gave my cat a once over to make sure she was in good health. They scanned her for a chip and gave me the chip number. They trimmed her nails and told me to contact the owner and try to get her home, and that they couldn't do any other work on her since I didn't own her. Once the owner officially relinquished her to me, I made another appointment to get her shots updated. I emailed her vet records to Four Corners and they told me she only needed one shot updated, which they took care of at her follow-up. They gave me a paper with an estimate for all kinds of things - bloodwork, scans, other shots. The vet tech explained to me that they didn't think we needed to do anything other than the one shot that my girl needed. I appreciate their honesty, they were not trying to upcharge me or perform unnecessary procedures on my cat. I've seen two different vets here and both were very friendly. They explained everything in depth and made sure to answer my questions. The front desk people are also very friendly. They know their regulars and check people in efficiently. They don't have any attitude, neither in person nor over the phone. I plan on remaining a patient here as long as possible. This vet practice is professional, friendly, and honest.

My dog had gained a little bit of weight and Dr Katie.yelled at she's been in my bed for two or three years and no, I always battled with his weight. Then she yelled at me about what I was feeding him. Then she tried to guilt trip me into buying him the expensive, horrible royal canine food, which is crappy food too expensive and not in my budget. Also the office manager Hannah does not want to take any responsibility for her mistakes and get mad at you. How am I to know that I have a balance on the wellness plan on if you don't let me know. The only time that I heard of the balance of what I owed on wellness program is when I called to see about coming. Other that there was no communication from Hannah, the office manager. Nothing sent to me in the mail. I brought that to her attention and she didn't wanna take responsibility.

I disliked her dark-haired Vet Assistant who said terrible things about my spouse, who used to bake fresh chicken so my dog @ the time & throughout his life (we had him for about 9 years, constantly @ local Vet in Veneta for 1st 3 years; Veneta Vet, inept & thieves, uncaring..period. We went to 2 other Veterinarians on W. 11th, W. Eugene, who acted inappropriately. Then after COVID, around '22, we ended up @ VCA w/Dr. B., Veterinarian (if you want to call her that). Note: Duke was a rescue since 9-10 months old, found in a garbage bin & almost dead, ending up with lifelong medical & serious issues. As far as the VCA Our dog had been DOTED UPON since we adopted him @ 10-11 months old; Dog was always UPSET, unlike @ any other Vet he'd been taken to since we had him, partially because they wouldn't let us go back with him upon visits. Who knows WHAT occurred back there without us being present! Vet COMPLAINED ON THE PHONE to me, after thyroid bloodwork was done/processed, that he was 6 or so pounds overweight !?! Vet also complained & was NOT NICE on the phone, complaining that Duke needed his teeth cleaned! That was LEAST of his issues. Rude & callous! Vet was a NIGHTMARE! We took care of Duke more than most would or could! Duke suffered with internal issues ALL his years, & before we took him to VCA, requiring meds from the start to the end. We spent well over $20,000..NO JOKE, on our fur baby that included great dog insurance (not cheap, but good). He had premium dog food, fed BY HAND every day of his life, treats, toys, fresh meat with his food every single day, 2 acres to run on & play, & all the attention any dog would deserve! We ended up going to 2 other Vets on W. 11th, AFTER we dumped VCA, but those Vets were ok @ 1st, but turned out to be non-caring, only wanting to make $$$. I ended up @ last 2 years of Duke's life @ Ark Veterinary, Barger in W. Eugene. My gosh, not only did VCA in Veterinary in 2024, MISDIAGNOSE his ear infection as fungal (after a good $300-$400 visit there), we took him 1 week later to ARK Veterinary, finding out his infection was BACTERIAL & NOT FUNGAL, & I/we were given the correct meds to fix the issue. We had to pay about $250-$300 a week later to ARK to save our dog from MORE sickness that could have been PREVENTED. & I stopped going to VCA IMMEDIATELY, staying with ARK Veterinary. They REFUSED to reimburse the fees for tests/meds @ VCA, even a partial reimbursement. ARK Vets & assistants have compassion, care, love, & BRAINS to properly diagnose a sick animal. My baby boy, Duke, 10 years old, died in my arms @ home on 4/10/26 & I thank GOD that he was under such awesome care & Ark Veterinary & NOT VCA!

When they couldn't get a sample, they wanted us to sedate our dog and pay for another visit, another day. We never had issues getting samples at our last vet, and don't have issues with our new vet. We never found relief for our dogs skin issues which they blamed fleas for and recommended we use Bravecto, We had already expressed this med isn't working. We ended in a loop of poor care, and spent a fortune on unnecessary appointments/medication. I have never been so glad to leave a medical practice in my life.

I had to put my beloved Tuxie Darby cat down last week, not all of the sudden, I mean he was 16ish years old. I found the entire experience designed around my emotional needs. Mr Tux made it a quick Irish manx goodbye by developing heart disease and evidencing it only for his final week. He had stopped eating and we went in to see Dr Newman to see if perhaps he had megacolon or something fixable. When we got the bad news, fluid on his lungs and body mass loss, the entire staff was very well spoken and supportive. Tuxie could not have received better care!

The self-proclaimed manager/ owner of this establishment is either absolutely clueless and devoid of any knowledge of finance and business (e.g. pricing points, knowing whether she is making a profit or not, etc) OR she is deliberately deceitful in order to mask the true costs of the services provided. BACKGROUND: I wanted a routine dental cleaning for my little girl. I was fine with the possibility of dental extractions, as my angel is a little bit older, and I know eventually it is inevitable. I have taken each of my cats into a vet - NOT THIS CLINIC (I moved from out of state) - in the past, and felt comfortable with the procedure. What I did not know is that, unlike other clinics I have have had great dental cleaning experiences in the past, the owner/ manager of this clinic DOES NOT KNOW and REFUSES or is incapable of understanding her business' "Dental Plan" financial structure. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU as a client: (1) You will be gaslit into accepting random pricing without justification. There was even an attempt to convince me that I should be happy they clipped my cat's nails for free while under anesthesia, versus the $50 they normally charge (that was the only itemized charge they disclosed to me). Ironically, during the previous visit, the veterinarian had commented that I "did a good job" clipping her nails. And nail clipping at ANY other vet has never surpassed $12. (2) You will not be able to submit a full insurance claim (ALL insurance companies require an itemized list of the pricing associated with the services provided). It would be like grocery shopping, seeing a total bill of $900, and never being able to verify WHY that total is what it is. ADDITIONALLY: The client to staff communication is horrible. Horrendous. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. I have been told 3 different things (price-wise, procedure-wise, practice-wise) on the same day that have nothing to do with an adjustment of a quote. poorly managed organization. Ultimately, I am not complaining about price (I can't refute it - the manager can't even explain her pricing), but LACK of QUALITY OF SERVICE. Virtually EVERY single visit was an "OOPS!" FINAL NOTES: I am happily with a new clinic, which I transferred to the day after my sweetie's appointment with this absolute mess of a clinic.

Dr. Jenny was his usual doctor who cared for him while he was sick, but she wasn't available the day we chose to say goodbye. Dr. Pappas bore the heavy weight of putting him to sleep in our arms and, though we hadn't met her before this, she was extraordinarily sensitive of our emotions and gently explained everything before it happened. She made what felt like the worst day of our lives, a little more positive and manageable when the weight of it threatened to crush us under foot. Although I still can't think too much on this day without crying, I felt the staff involved in Tiki's care deserve all the warmest regards, hugs, and thank yous I can muster. They called us to give their condolences, kept us up to date on Tiki's cremation service, and when we picked up his ashes days later, the package and card were so lovingly put together and you could just feel a gentle human touch in every detail. It felt like the Santa Clara vet family was mourning Tiki right alongside us. We are so grateful for the care Tiki received, and we really wouldn't have had it any other way than with the team at Santa Clara. Wanted to also specifically shoutout Aubrie for her calling Tiki "Handsome Bobansome" during his visit, which has famously entered his little book of nicknames he accrued over the course of his life. That truly made us smile, and was a happy core memory!

She quietly entered my home after meeting my boy Milo outside. He came inside and became comfortable with her. I didn't want to delay the inevitable. Sedation was given quickly yet cautiously. I was able to hold, cuddle, kiss, and talk my boy through his journey of the sedation. His fasciculations of his tongue made me think he was still kissing me through the process. When I was assured he's sleeping comfortably went to the second stage. With him wrapped tight in my arms and me covering my eyes to watch the next step, it was effortless and quick. Dr McAlister quietly pronounced his time, shortly after the injection. She allowed me all of the time I needed with him. I did my own footprints, snoot prints and I never felt rushed. I was able to wrap him in his own blanket to cross the Rainbow Bridge in. When I need this service again, I won't hesitate to ask this professional to live my pets as I did.
