We came for a late breakfast after discovering our hotel did not offer it. You seat yourself and all the empty tables were clean. They were quick to clean them and the service was great. Our server was quick and attentive. The food was delicious and my picky kids ate everything.

Total gem. Colossal Homemade biscuits and homemade strawberry jam. Good coffee and kind staff. Will absolutely be back.

While camping up at Flaming Gorge we decided to take a trip into Vernal and grab some lunch while we were there. Based on reviews we ended up at Betty's Cafe, which was decent, but honestly nothing that was spectacular. The staff was super polite and everything was great on that front, but the food and time to receive our food was meh. I understand that they're not a fast food place, and they specifically state they cook everything to order, but still 45-60 min is still a bit excessive of a wait time when it is not overly busy. I do not recall what everyone else ordered, but I got the chicken sandwich and it was decent, however I didn't know or realize that it didn't come with any type of dressing, so it was on the dry side. Sure, I could have asked for some, but at this point in time it was easier to do without. Overall I am not sure that I'd say this is a place you have to try.

This place was amazing! It was my first time but my husband highly recommended it. The service was great. I ordered breakfast burrito, five stars. Chicken tenders for my daughter and husband got steak and eggs with side of biscuits and gravy, everything was delicious. Parking was a breeze. Not to noisy inside.

Betty's Cafe, STAT! This little gem of a cafe is a MUST! Stopped here on our way home from Park City and couldn't have made a better choice! We arrived around 12:30pm on a Sunday and the place was jam packed! Luckily they were able to seat us outside. We ordered two BLT's, a couple of Bacon Cheeseburgers, a #6 Combo (short stack of pancakes with bacon and one egg and a homemade biscuit...which were buttery soft and delish especially with their raspberry jam!), and a #9 Combo (bacon, one egg, hash browns and biscuit). Seriously, we were all in food heaven! Considering how busy they were, the service and wait time for our food was exceptionally quick! This is a fourth-generation family owned business and y'all know how much I LOVE to support small businesses! Betty's Cafe is a solid five-stars! Highly recommend!

Massive portions and delicious waffles. But you do have to be prepared to be patient. Some of the staff is a little green. Locals will be served before you -- so just set your expectations. Vernal, Utah is a tiny burg situated in the UFO-and-paranormal Uintah Basin of northeastern Utah. I was there for a UFO conference and to sneak up on the nearby Skinwalker Ranch. Would I return? I might actually consider heading back to spend a day petroglyph-hunting and yes, next time I'd give the flapjacks a try.

You BETTY this place is good. In search for a hearty breakfast before the drive back to SLC, my family and I ended up here. We were seated promptly and got: - #2 American breakfast with sausage, fried potatoes, over easy eggs, and a homemade biscuit ($12.99): the sausage was well-cooked, yet still juicy. The fried potatoes were probably some of the best I've had, as they were thinly sliced and mostly crispy (but not overly crispy, which is great, you know?). The eggs were done well and the biscuit- OMG- SO SO SO GOOD. It was buttery and moist on its own, and paired with their strawberry jam, HEAVEN. - #1 chicken fried steak with fried potatoes, sunny side eggs, and a homemade biscuit ($15.99): my poor mum thought that this would be fried chicken LOLOL we had to explain to her that this was steak fried like chicken. And boy, was this one great! - steak and eggs with fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, and a homemade biscuit ($15.99): the steak was juicy and tender, and the scrambled eggs were well done. My family and I are not too fond of the classic American breakfast, but we were sure blown away by Betty's. BETTY we'll be back here in the off-chance that we're in this part of Utah again.

Great breakfast in Vernal. Better than home cooled, because every meal is consistently excellent.

Perfectly adequate. But not as glamourously nostalgic as one might hope for. But no shade: solid, and fine. ...just fine...

It was ok. Definitely a locals diner. Coffee wasn't great and neither were the pancakes. Pancakes tasted box made.
