I visited Fabri on February 3rd while in my early shopping stage shopping for a replacement engagement ring (to celebrate my 10-year wedding anniversary), and from start to finish, it was hands-down the best jewelry experience I've ever had. First, their online customization platform is one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly solitaire design tool I've used (ability to customize metal, band width, setting style, prong style, and more) -- comparative to my other online shopping, I feel that this tool is unmatched in how detailed and customizable it is. On top of that, they provide support not only in-store, but also through private text communication, which made the entire process feel personal, modern, and incredibly convenient. I appreciate that I didn't have to make a trip in to get an early idea of how much their options might cost for the design I had in mind. I determined online, and via text that Fabri was a standout option, with pricing in the realm of my budget; so I came into the showroom. During my visit, Doug and Jacob were exceptionally attentive without being pushy -- the perfect balance. The showroom itself is impressive, with countless options for stone sizes, band widths, and settings. What stood out most was how creative and thoughtful they were in helping me visualize the ring I wanted, when the exact ring design that wasn't something they had on display. They pulled different samples from around the store, paired various band widths with multiple stone sizes, and walked me through every possibility with patience and expertise. I also asked about purchasing a stackable wedding band, and in a moment of genuine integrity, Doug actually advised, "I wouldn't order that right now -- wait until you finalize an engagement ring, then choose what pairs best with it." Any other jeweler could have tried to upsell immediately, but Doug and Jacob were clearly focused on what was truly best for their customers, not just making a sale. They didn't pressure me into a decision. I called all around and most places were like a month turn around rate. I called Fabri and spoke to Doug and explained to him the situation. My family have been customers of Fabri since the late 80's/early 90's, but I have since moved to California. Must have been having a bad evening. I went in last night at about 6:30 and met with a very nice woman who was alone in the store at the time. I asked her if she could switch a watchband for me and she said that she did not want to risk scratching the watch as the person who usually does it was gone for the day. I appreciate her honesty and she was very polite. I asked what do you charge for this service and she enthusiastically said "free of charge". I said oh! great I will be back tomorrow. I then thought why not leave the watch and pick it up later? When I went back the woman I had spoken to was in the back and I was impolitely met by a younger female associate. I said that I was just here and wanted to leave the watch and pick it up the following day. She asked me if I purchased the band there and I said no. She said well that will be $20.00. I said that is strange as the woman I just spoke to said it was free of charge. Now, I have no issue with them charging for a service, but what I do take exception to is a grumpy, unpleasant, and impolite person giving me grief. Oh, and by the way, get your staff on the same page. Do you charge for this or not?? When you are in retail or customer service you should have a generally pleasant disposition. I was not rude and did not provoke this response. I will not consider this store for any future service or purchases. I do see that many people have had great experiences with the store and the staff and I think this may have been an exception to their normally great service, but it was damaging enough that I won't be back to find out. read more

When my husband and I were ready to pick out an engagement ring/wedding band, we looked at a lot of places. This was basically the last place left in the mall that we hadn't checked out. We didn't realize how cool this place was going to be. For most of the rings, you can pull them out of the cabinet yourself as they are fake. They take your order in the type of metal you want. On one of the walls they have a case with a ton of diamonds. We got to pick out the diamond, the setting, and then a wedding band. It was a fun experience. After our pleasant visit with Mitch, we have decided that this place would be "our jeweler" and go in when Mitch is working. We also went back 6 months later and purchased the lifetime plan. It covers rhodium, sizing, the little diamonds in my band, and soldering. They say 4 business days for the jeweler to work on jewelry. read more

I stopped into the shop to see if they could repair crooked prongs on my wedding ring. In the past, jewelers said the prongs had to be replaced, to the tune of $60 or more dollars. Instead, the gentleman put the prongs back in place and cleaned the ring in about five minutes and charged me absolutely nothing for the service. What amazing customer service! Thank you. I've been a loyal Fabri customer for nine years. Doug and his staff are amazing designers who provide exceptional service. We recently collaborated on a custom sapphire and diamond ring with a delicate vintage look on top of my finger, and it has a sturdier band (shank) that makes it comfortable to wear (it doesn't spin around on my finger like many vintage and antique pieces tend to do). This was an incredibly easy process: - I was able to choose my sapphire (trying to make up my mind was the only tough part). Doug had several stones ready for me along with clear pricing and quality information so I could have something beautiful and within my budget. - Next he produced a 3D printed mold for my approval and took the time to place my sapphire in the mold so I could better visualize the finished design. - Just a few weeks after final approval, the result was one-of-a-kind, sparkling perfection that looks stunning on my hand and feels comfortable to wear on my finger. read more

Fabri has a nice selection of beautiful jewelry. They definitely get points for what is in their display cases. The customer service, though... just wow. My boyfriend bought me a locket and a chain as a gift, but we found that the end of the chain didn't fit into the loop on top of the locket. We made a trip to Fabri to look for other chains that would fit, figuring that we could buy one from them and return the original one. But just in case, I asked the lady who was helping us if there was some trick to getting it in that I didn't know about. She said it wasn't a problem and took it in back, and brought the necklace back to us a few minutes later - to my horror, the end of the chain had been completely mangled. It was now in an ugly and non-returnable state, and we had never been asked for permission to make any modifications! After handing it back to us, she left us very quickly, just standing there and wondering what the heck to do! She immediately started to give her attention to other customers, but we managed to get the attention of the older gentleman who was working that night. I showed him what had been done, and he offered to fix it and had us come back in 30 minutes. He was pretty curt with us and didn't offer an apology at all. Oh well - I just wanted my locket, so I was fine with it. We came back 30 minutes later, and it was partially fixed but still rather obviously flawed. At this point, I was freaking out, because the locket couldn't be removed from the chain and the chain was still partially mangled. Can the chain be repaired to its original state? If so, am I going to have to pay lots of extra money for that because of damage that was Fabri's doing? Is it possible to ever remove the locket from the chain? We didn't know. No one would stop and talk to us about the options, and instead just seemed like they were trying to get rid of us as quickly as possible. A few minutes later, when he noticed we were still standing there looking confused, he curtly asked us what we wanted from him and gave us about 10 seconds to talk to him before he would walk away to do something else. My boyfriend and I talked for a few minutes, and with our rather limited knowledge about what to do about mangled jewelry, we came to the conclusion that the chain was probably unsalvageable. The "repair" done to it seemed to indicate that it was impossible to get it back to its original state and return it, so simply asking him to remove the locket from the chain didn't seem like it was going to be fair to us. It seemed like we were just going to be out the cost of the chain. When he finally came back (MUCH later), he asked us again what we wanted him to do. At this point, we were feeling pretty awkward and terrible about having to ask this, but we went ahead and asked to be reimbursed for the cost of the chain. He said "absolutely not" (again, in a very curt tone) and called us "ridiculous," and claimed that WE told THEM to "get the chain into the locket" (which is not at all what happened, and we tried to tell him that). He then he walked away from us again. Never at any point did he listen to us thoroughly, explain our options, or even offer an apology for this huge inconvenience. He continually reminded us how busy he was and made it clear how much we were inconveniencing him. After we stood there for a few more minutes, the lady that we had originally talked to came over to speak to us. She thoroughly apologized for the whole situation and took a few minutes to give us a much better picture of the options, explaining that it's possible to get a more thorough repair (really good to know!), and offered to have it done free of charge. That seemed plenty fair to us. She also explained that if we left it for a couple of days, they could indeed get it back to its original state, so I could opt to have the locket removed from the chain and return the chain if I wanted to. We felt much better about the situation knowing all this - we really didn't want to waste a chain, even with a reimbursement. My boyfriend and I understand that mistakes are made, especially at a busy time like Valentine's day, but we do expect to not have to badger people into correcting those mistakes - especially when it involves expensive property of ours being mangled without our consent - and more importantly, we expect to be treated with basic respect. I was very pleased with the way the lady addressed this issue in the end, but the gentleman's behavior was unacceptable. This whole thing is really a shame, since we're planning to get engaged soon, and prior to being treated this way by this gentleman, we were admiring the selection and considering purchasing our engagement rings and wedding bands from Fabri. Bottom line - buy from them if you want, but don't let them handle your property, especially if they look stressed. Apparently being a little busy is an excuse to treat customers like trash and ruin their stuff. read more

I received a lovely watch as a Christmas gift and needed some links removed. I found Fabri through Yelp and visited the store on the New Year Day. Bruce McCoy assisted me, he was kind, reassuring, and the service was quick. He helped me decide between removing three or four links, assuring me that he could adjust the links if the result was not perfect. The adjustment was around $20 and took about 20 minutes. Today I had the pleasure of stopping in to Fabri Fine Jewelry after being told my request couldn't be done at another establishment. Not only were Tino and Kim more than friendly, Tino took the task at hand as a challenge and accomplished it for me beyond my expectations. They are great jewelers, problem solvers and provide great customer service; it doesnt hurt that their jewelry is exquisite. I haven't actually bought anything from them but I called in after I saw a ring I loved at another jewelers. It was by far the cheapest at this store (for the same Simon G wedding band). When I called and asked for the price they also got back to me right away, in under 15 minutes when other stores took several hours to respond. read more

5 stars and a review is not enough to express how enjoyable it was to work with Fabri on finding and purchasing the perfect engagement ring. My boyfriend-- now fiancé-- and I have been looking around at several well-known stores for an engagement ring, and we accidentally stumbled into Fabri with low expectations, since we've never heard of them or noticed them at the mall before, and boy, were we blown away. During the process, we met Fernando, Peter, and Doug (owner), all of whom were knowledgeable, incredibly patient, fun, and sincere. After multiple visits and sitting through impressively informative sessions on how to select a diamond and how to assess the cost, my boyfriend and I made the decision that to purchase from Fabri, because the customer service, transparency of the sales, and the fairness were unmatched by far. From first stepping into the store and being greeted by Fernando, to sitting through an informational session with Peter on how to select a diamond, finalizing the selection, and ring design/fabrication (which turned out beautiful and fit perfectly) and payment with Doug, we've thoroughly enjoyed every single moment. Hell, I'll probably be stopping by the store every time I go to the mall from now on, just to say hi to my favorite jewelers. I would highly recommend Fabri to anyone who is looking to learn about jewelry or to make a purchase. UPDATE: After receiving the temporary setting for the engagement ring (to make the proposal deadline and which was also beautiful enough to be the permanent setting), Peter patiently worked with us to fine tune every minute detail of our custom band and setting until we had the perfect engagement ring.
