I think this is a pretty solid sub shop. Came in because I wanted a sub for my kids. I was going to go to Publix but I was like might as well introduce my kids to where I used to go when I was younger to get some subs. I feel like it hasn't changed much. The subs were delicious (I tried both subs that I bought). For my younger son I got the hot ham turkey and bacon with just mayo. Yum! My older one got a steak sub with bacon. Both had a lot of meat, both were tasty. The order total was $20. Both sandwiches were enough to feed them both and I had a bite of each. I also ended up getting some cookies. I did go there around 4pm so it was pretty empty. I can imagine that during lunch time this place must get packed. There are small tables there where you can sit and eat but I do not recommend. I used to come here as a kid when I was attending FIU. I had a lot of happy memories at this location. I decided to try it out for nostalgic reasons. The food was exactly like I remember it however WOW the prices were much more. It's good food but $20 for a sub was a bit too much. The staff were very polite, cordially and very efficient. It was nice visit and the food was fresh and tasted good. Overall it's a nice spot for a sub but the steak and cheese will set you back a bit. My coworkers brought me here for the first time awhile back. I had heard great things and since I work at a University and they had no classes that week, we figured we would go off-campus. We got there at the middle of the lunch rush, but by the time we ordered it had calmed down. I had the cheese steak and it was so delicious. You can watch them as they make it and they are so quick. Very disappointed with the quality of my order. I ordered a tuna wrap with provolone cheese and this is what I got. As you can see from the photo the quality and quantity of tuna that was put into the wrap was not enough. I paid $8 plus tax for the wrap and this is what I got. Is this place under new management? I remember coming here 2 to 4 times a week as an undergrad student and occasionally afterwards, the subs were very good and the place was always jam packed. I ordered the ham and turkey hot sub, It took or less then 5 minutes to make it because I was the only one there at 11:53 a.m. It was pretty good however, I ordered the combo and it was $15.83. That's pretty expensive for a so called lunch special. Everything is prepared right in front of you and while I was waiting for mine to cook up, I was eyeballing some of the other orders they were preparing and even the cold subs looked delicious and very artfully put together. I got my order to go along with a bag of chips and a fountain drink. I was really impressed with the sandwich! There was just the right amount of cheese to beef and the roll was soft and pillowy, yet strong enough to hold all the meat inside. I could only eat half, it was huge! The only reason this gets a 4-star review instead of 5 is because of the price. Almost $15 for the three items! In an effort to not have Subway's once again, I finally decided to try Subrageous. And I sure am glad I did. Lots of choices - I was going to split a sub with my boyfriend and he wanted the BBQ chicken sub. At first, I wasn't too thrilled about his choice because in *other* sub places, the BBQ can be very overpowering and messy. However, I must say that Subrageous' BBQ chicken sub is simply the bomb. We got the with onions, american cheese, and light lettuce on a white sub. Something we kept telling each other - "omg, this sandwich is sooo fresh". It was soo hot, chicken tasted very fresh, cheese was perfectly melted in between, onions were small and gave it perfect additional flavor, and lettuce gave it a cool and fresh crunch. Easily one of the best subs I've ever had. The place is spacious and there are many tables to sit in, unlike many other popular sub joints in Miami. The service was very friendly and attentive even though they were very busy. I expected to wait a long time to get my sub, but it was ready relatively quickly! Think about ordering a variety of sub options, I often go for the roast beef and turkey, and the employees making it to order by cooking it on a flat top right in front of your face. It puts subway to shame. They add cheese if you'd like, on the grill so it melts with your choice of meats. Add your toppings like tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and anything else you can think of on wheat or white bread and BAM! There is your sub. You can also add chips and a drink if you'd like and make it a complete meal. The subs are foot longs and It's very well priced for what you get. Pretty much the same price as what you would pay at a Subway, but way better in terms of quality and taste. When you sit down to eat it, it's hot. I mean, it was just made for you right off the flat top! They have a lot of options and combinations to choose from so it applies to a variety of different people. There are small tables to sit on one side of the joint and the order area is fairly large so there's no way it will ever feel cramped and that's much appreciated when having a meal. It pains me to write this. I worked here many years ago. In fact I was hired a few days before the store opened. The place was ok clean, not immaculate. Old light fixtures, missing acoustic tile, hand written signs make the place seem dirtier than what it is My steak and cheese was ok. However $14.42 for a sub, chips, and drink is far too much. I hate to write this review because I've been coming here with my dad since I was a little girl. They have downsized a lot, the establishment is half the size it used to be. I ordered my usual (honey mustard chicken) the sandwich was so messy it literally oozed honey mustard everywhere. Word of advise do not take your sandwich to go because it will be a mess by the time you eat it. The sandwiches are also smaller and their prices have gone up. $13 for a sandwich with a drink and chips. You are better off going to publix in the same shopping center and getting a sandwich there. Lastly, the lady in the front I'm guessing she is he manager because she has been working there for years, always has a nasty attitude. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, it's actually quite interesting watching how they all work independently yet as a collective group. My sandwich was made in less than 5 minutes ( I ordered an italian cold cut which needed no cooking). Pros: Quick, like service FIU students get 10% off Friendly staff They are pretty flexible about making custom sandwiches and actually encourage it.
