Wow! From start to finish! Customer service was excellent!! Been wanting to try this place out for a while now and had the chance to finally go! My husband and I ordered one of their signature drinks: vanilla elderflower latte and two croissants: a pistachio covered croissant and everything croissant with cream cheese inside! Omg everything was absolutely amazing!!! Super delicious! We enjoyed the lattes and croissants! Street parking is available, I didn't see any parking lots nearby but there's plenty of street parking. Would definitely recommend and would come back again when I'm in the area!

Bevel is such a hidden gem! I went on a Saturday around 10 am and there was a line. It's quite small inside but it's efficient. The matcha latte was solid. I really wish they changed their cups. You can see in the photo that it was spilling everywhere. I went back and got a fresh cup and again it spilled all over. The croissant was also solid. You could taste the high quality ingredients. If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by to try some of the coffee everyone raves about.

They have very good lattes at this coffee shop. I'm working across the street for a week and I've been visiting Bevel every morning to get their iced cardamom lattes. I think the drink is very good. It cost about $7.68 for one latte which is on the pricey side, but it's average for LA coffee shops. They also have a wide range of other coffee drinks and they have a pastry case of goodies. There is some seating indoors and some seating outdoors as well. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the line moves quickly, and the drinks are made pretty fast! Overall, it's definitely worth a stop if you need a caffeine boost!

I visited on a weekday morning and found a parking spot right in front of the building. I was instantly greeted by very friendly employees. I ordered a mocha and they made sure it was dairy free which I really appreciated. The inside is very beautifully painted and I had to sit and enjoy the artwork. The mocha was so tasty as was the vegan gluten free carrot cake donut I ordered. When I left the employees said goodbye to me which was so nice!

super cute lil cafe for great coffee and voibes. there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating and the drinks were very yummy! i appreciated how well-balanced the lattes tasted. the queen bee is definitely one of my favorite honey lattes by far. there's also outlets for those who want to work or study at the cafe!

So happy to visit their new shop for the first time! Music is jamming and coffee is brewing. It was a warm welcome from staff. I love the coffee and tried their Queen Bee latte with oat milk. It's just the right amount of sweetness if you're not in to sugary coffee drinks. I do have to give a spotlight to their gorgeous pastries. I grabbed a pistachio croissant and onion biscuit. This was a cozy treat to myself. Next time I definitely want to have their hot brewed coffee and just relax outside. Can't wait to go back.

Top of the morning - couldn't do without a positive cheer and good vibes. The next time I make it in I am going to buy a t-shirt.

Came here on a Sunday morning with my best friend to support local business and grab me a pick me up. Bevel is located at Prime Pizza. They have plenty of parking and seating. Rise & Shine! I ordered the Queen Bee. It was smooth, balanced, and not too sweet. Delicious. I noticed there was another pop up, Casa, a take on Mexican cuisine. You can tell the owners care about the community to utilize the space and even unionize, which is really admirable. Check this spot out, definitely worth stopping by.

I love their new space! There is plenty of seating inside and so many options to choose from! I got the matcha latte and it was amazing! I have had their coffee over the years and it's just so good! I'll be back for more!

Great local shop experience that pops up on select days at the same location as Prime Pizza. I've tried different drinks from them and they really know their stuff. Make sure to come early because their pastries sell out fast and they pair perfectly with the drinks. Outdoor seating only, but the views and location are great. A solid Altadena and Pasadena local coffee spot.

Stopped by the new location in Altadena and I just beat the morning rush! I love the new location and the decor inside. They are really in touch with their roots and it shows with the interior, logo design, and most importantly through their coffee. I had the Queen Bee and it is absolutely delicious and it still retains that coffee flavor without it being too overly sweet. I loved the drink so much that I bought a coffee pack myself so I can make some Bevel flavored coffee at home. The coffee is all locally roasted in Altadena too. I am so glad they opened and I am beyond happy for the crew over there!

I love Bevel! I went to the new location Saturday and the vanilla elderflower latte was super tasty. The quad Americano got two thumbs up from a close friend. I also know from past pop-up experiences that Bevel's cold brew is super smooth and packs a punch. Absolutely worth a try; I'm so happy to have a well-loved coffee shop close by!

As well as having…read moreincredible coffee, which started me on my coffee journey, the staff are incredible, the managers Adam and David do an amazing job to make the place feel like a warm and caring environment. Employees there are very kind and seem to take an interest in everyone who walks in the door. Recently an incident occurred that I have nothing but respect for how the staff handled. A now former regular, who I will be keeping anonymous for obvious reasons, was banned from the store for openly racist remarks and verbally harassing staff. I was not personally present for it, but that is accurate to my experience with said person. They have repeatedly made racist and classist comments and have pretty heavy handedly push their ideological views to me. After banning said customer, they proceeded to threaten and harass the staff, from what I saw in regards to the banning, the manager Adam handled it with more respect and elegance than I believed necessary. Despite his tact, she took that as an opportunity to go on a tangent of excessive profanity and slurs. I think it's very telling about the type of people who work at Penny that they value maintaining a safe and welcoming environment even in the face of bullying and harassment. I've never felt more inclined to go to penny than I do now. Thank you guys for what you do and keep up the good work. You guys are rock stars fr!!

I've been a loyal customer of Pennys Coffee since they opened in Azusa. Over the years, I've spent…read morethousands of dollars here and have recommended the shop to many friends and others in the coffee community. Unfortunately, my experience with the shop changed because of repeated interactions with the store manager, Adam and the event that had just happened. I want the owners to be aware of concerns I have regarding the atmosphere created by management. On multiple occasions, I have heard Adam speak negatively about the owners and other baristas in front of customers. I have also experienced him bringing personal and political opinions into conversations while working, which I feel creates an uncomfortable/unprofessional environment. He works every Monday so I can't even sit on the only couch and drink my coffee in peace, he's always talking nonsense and forcing his personal opinions down my throat. He never stops talking, and if you try to share your opinion, he talks right over you. He has a veryyy hard time accepting viewpoints that differ from his own. He's honestly on some sort of power trip. The most concerning incident occurred recently when Adam yelled in my face while inside the coffee shop!! Then the other barista, David got involved with his encouragement during this interaction. They surrounded me and were trying to intimidate me together and at that time there were no other customers in the store, and when I tried to speak to them to tell them to stop yelling at me- they went at me harder to the point I had to literally run out of the shop bc I didn't feel safe there. It's the first time I have ever had two men corner me and yell at me- it was honestly traumatizing. After leaving, I informed David that I would never be returning. I believed that would be the end of the situation. However, David provided Adam with my personal phone number without my permission, and Adam contacted me by text after I had already left the store in an effort to intimidate me further. During that exchange, Adam also accused me of being racist. I found it completely inappropriate that my personal information was shared without my consent so that a workplace conflict could continue outside of the store. I also want to address an issue with David. Throughout my visits, you have repeatedly attempted to hug me or touch me when I came into the shop. Regardless of your intentions, this made me uncomfortable. Customers should not be touched without their consent. I also work in the business of customer service, and I understand the importance of professionalism. I would never speak negatively about my employer to customers, push personal or political views on people supporting my business, yell at a customer, or use a customer's personal information to continue a confrontation after they leave. It's disappointing because I did like this coffee shop and wanted to continue supporting it. However, my experiences with Adam and David traumatized me. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously and address them so other customers do not have similar experiences.
