What are all the dogs doing here?! Came on a random Yelp event night, implicitly trusting the stellar reviews, and holy jee, it turned out to be one of the best bar/pubs I've ever enjoyed in Seattle! Of course, much of this has to do with the crowd, but places like this are best with a crowd. Enter and you'll find small tables with singletons on laptops, sipping some beer, further back, larger tables for groups, and finally the bar. The bar is awesome. The beer/wine selection is extensive, and includes some VERY unique imports that I've never seen before (ever try a beer that feels like wine, and gets sweeter as it warms? They have it!). There are pool tables in the room across the bar, and from what I've heard, other random boardgames to play; didn't see them myself. I did note that a LOT of people had dogs when I went; I can't tell if it's just our crowd, or a regular occurrence, but its a great reminder to how dog-friendly Seattle can be. PARKING TIP: The parking in the back is rather limited, but the streets behind it, (and if you want to risk it, the restaurant to the East has more parking than they'll usually need). read more

Before COVID hit, this place was a perfect place to hangout and connect with friends at one of their cozy and eclectic table set ups. Great selection of drinks, board games, and bar games like darts and shuffle board. Can't wait for this place to fully open again! We've also been here twice since COVID hit. We've sat outside both times, and brought our own snacks and board games. They have really great outdoor seating set up with tables and chairs that are really far apart, so we felt completely safe. They're also using online ordering that's really easy and intuitive (if it's your first time in post-COVID, they'll explain it to you too). This place is just really great all around - go in and support if you can! read more

So, we checked out the grand opening of the new Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle last night. Damn, their new space is teh awesome, they must have sunk a chunk of change into the place. Its got wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor hardwood and I could still smell the fresh varnish ;). Its got two rooms, one of the bar (same number of taps) and seating and the other with 2 pool tables, a dart board, fooseball and even some whacky game that looks like a cross b/t bowling and tetherball ;). They've got a lil outdoor patio area too. This new location is so much of an improvement over their old digs.... Anyhow, it was Georgetown promo night and they had a cask of Chopper's Red. Wow, it was yummy. Bonus was it was fully carbonated and served cold, not your average cask situation. I gotta say it tasted 5X better than the normal version. Anyhow, hop on by, it's nice.... I've got a friend who lives literally 2 blocks away and I'm jealous jealous jealous...... read more

This is an awesome brew pub for people who are very serious about their beer. For people who are not real serious about good beer, they will still enjoy it. Only downside is no food. But this may be a plus. Avoid Zeeke's pizza next door as its a total rip. read more

With 206 prior reviews here, I'm afraid I will not have much to add. However, I wanted to go ahead and help strengthen the rating here, since this is definitely one of the better pubs in Seattle. As I mentioned in my review of Tippe & Drague, we recently moved from Denver to Seattle, and I had a "kitchen pass" for several hours, so I wanted to hit a couple of pubs around town as I familiarized myself with the wonderful selection of local beer. With such a great find on Beacon Hill, and previous success visiting Elliott Bay Public House & Brewery, as well as West 5, I hoped to find another nice pub option in West Seattle. I ended up at Beveridge Place Pub, and was pleasantly surprised again! Just like others experienced, I entered into the main bar area. It feels a lot like a college style coffee shop that has "graduated," matured into a professional, yet still wanted to maintain a casual coffeehouse vibe. Wood highlights on the ceiling and lower parts of the walls cover much of the decor; and it is complemented with deep red and warm yellow walls, tastefully adorned with the obligatory beer mirrors, old advertisements, serving trays, and tap handles. Windows allow for just the right amount of natural light during the day; and there is an array of tables, sofas, comfy chairs, et.al. that help the are feel cozy. There are also interesting, well-worn books and games sitting atop a low-level, built-in shelf all along the south wall. I wandered around into the "game room," where there was a TV showing the Mariners game and several "game stations" (a pool table, darts, etc.); and I also noticed a small patio area -- nicely secluded from the street with shrubs and foliage. After the quick perusal, I sat down on the cushioned bar stools and marveled at yet another nice selection of beer in Seattle. This town is fantastic :) The bar itself is large -- a very wide, polished counter, creating more than your average amount of space between you and the bartenders. A friendly bartender approached and then poured a Bainbridge Island Brewing Pale Ale into a room-temperature, but clean glass. The pour was beautiful and had a moderately thick, creamy head. The amber color shows clearly in the glass, and the first pull leaves you with a balanced hops and malty smoothness. As I savored my beer, a dog's deep bark only added to the relaxing, friendly ambiance, as new arrivals startled him from his lazy perch on a rug near the door. I settled in and observed -- mostly just quiet conversations on a lazy Sunday afternoon... The bartender came back by and offered me a bowl of assorted nuts, and I remembered the reviews mentioned they did not serve food. I noticed numerous patrons enjoying pizzas and sandwiches they brought with them -- though the bartender did tell the bar mate to my left he could not continue to drink his Coca-Cola. I also noticed several locals came in with their own growlers. It's always nice to see a bartender pour a growler the proper way -- using a dip tube, and filling until the beer runs "clear" out the top in order to leave a minimal amount of head in the throat... then capping immediately. Well done, guys! I ordered another beer -- Ninkasi Maiden the Shade IPA. This pour was just as good as the first, and I was pleasantly surprised the IPA had more of a subtle hoppiness to it, rather than the kinds loaded up in ABV and punching you in the face with bitterness. There's a time and a place for that, but this was the nice cap to a relaxing kitchen pass afternoon... and well-suited to the ambiance that makes Beveridge Place Pub such an inviting place. There is no question I will be back, as they must have had at least 30 other beers available on tap, and it is clearly a great place to enjoy quiet conversation over a delicious pour. read more

Very cool and interesting place. I love the fact that you can sit down, grab your favorite beverage and play games with your friends. It makes for a very laid-back atmosphere, and one where people seem to really be enjoying themselves. Ambiance is pubbish, but my one complaint is that they don't offer food. In a pub, this should be standard (I've never heard of any other pub NOT providing a menu of food any way.) As I understand it, you can bring food in, but this is just odd to me. I moved to the neighborhood recently and have been looking for great spot to grab drinks with friends. I've been to Beveridge Place a few times and finally felt compelled to write a review of my experience(s). While the atmosphere seems inviting and cozy, EVERY TIME I have visited I have witnessed a patron being reprimanded or even yelled at about their dogs. This is a dog friendly place, for well-behaved dogs, which is great. I personally have not brought my dog and I NEVER will. I have been witness to patrons - whose dogs have barely barked or only made the slightest excited whimper when being pet by strangers - being literally yelled out because they're dog was "causing too much disturbance." They are dogs. Dogs will be dogs - even the best of them will make a sound every now and then. And watching staff be rude to patrons, who are in fact not bothering anyone with their dogs has really turned me off this pub. If this pub wants to be dog-friendly, they need to train their staff to be more pleasant to patrons who bring their dogs. Every time I have come, I've seen something happen and I just feel bad for the patron who gets scolded and is asked to leave. Even when their dogs weren't that bad. There are plenty of other places in the neighborhood to grab a drink - with or without your dog - that don't make you feel nearly as uncomfortable as this place. read more

My favorite spot to drink beer in west Seattle! This dog friendly and very chill yet quite large bar always keeps an amazing draft list! I have friends from all over Seattle actually who love coming here. Chill in the lounge/living room and play some board games they keep on site...or head into the games room for some pool, shuffle board, Foosball, or learn how to play skittles. TVs in the games room, and a nice small beer garden area out back if the weather is nice. Mondays is $3 Micro Brew night, so anything with a red dot on the tap list is only 3 bucks. What a deal for so many local options! No food, but some options close to bring in...or bring your own. There's a Greek place across the street that we usually get Gyros from. They take like 10 min, but are huge. Maybe I should review them. OK, off to do that now... read more

They have special beer events/promotions going on all the time, too (right now is "Hoptober" and there are over 15 IPA's on tap, and customer's can vote on the next "House IPA"). There are specials throughout the week, including Microbrew Monday, featuring select pints for $3. You can bring in your own food, and several of the nearby restaurants have special deals on pickup or delivery for Beveridge Place customers. I've also seen people have potlucks here! There are board games, shuffleboard, and pool, so you won't be bored when you're drinking. And, if you want to bring your puppy friend, you can! Well, as long as they are well-behaved. We ducked in here one night after eating at the excellent Greek restaurant across the street. My husband loves a great beer on tap and I love cider, and they had a good selection of both. The seating makes for a great atmosphere, and we ended up calling some people to meet us up there with a board game - love that we can have drinks and play a round of games. There were lots of well behaved dogs there, which added to the charm. As my Dad is fond of saying about English pubs, "Your dog is welcome but leave your baby outside." Will definitely return to this spot whenever I find myself in West Seattle. read more

Love BP - a neighborhood favorite. Always incredible selection in an excellent setting. The only drawback is the 21+.

Two issues with the place: 1) Extremely condescending and rude staff. Can't get a beer recommendation without an eye roll. Overall really unfriendly vibe. 2)Take off the dog friendly tag if you're going to ask customers to leave after their dog whines once. And if you DO uphold this rule at least make it consistent. Don't pick and choose who gets kicked out. read more

This place is apparently dog-friendly, assuming your dog is a mannequin or doesn't posses the ability to bark or chew. My wife and I brought our puppy to the outdoor patio area to relax and enjoy some drinks. Our dog had been chewing on some leaves and sticks (again, in an outdoor patio area) and the bald headed staff member apparently wasn't too pleased. So much that he decided to yell at our puppy. This is disappointing as I've been here several times in the past and had great experiences, but based on other reviews, it appears we aren't alone. Please work on training your staff to be more customer-oriented and dog-sensitive, otherwise don't claim to be dog-friendly. These are the kinds of places people look forward to going to with their furry companions, but easily get ruined by passive aggressive staff members. read more

Good spot with a solid beer, cider, and wine selection. Staff is knowledgeable. I would not say they're super dog friendly (as referenced in other comments). We were outside when our pups got excited after hearing some other dogs. Within minutes a server came out and told us dogs were not allowed to bark. We left because we get it...it's not our favorite when our pups are loud either (but it happens sometimes!) Recommend Ounces for a true dog friendly beer joint! Otherwise, fun for group outings and for grabbing a quick drink. read more

Kinda hated that there was no food, and not really a fan of going up to the counter and waiting in line for a drink - especially on a Friday night. Still, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. A little after-show after-funk with the crew and cast of Bullshot Crummond found me here last night. I am really kicking myself for not making the last WSHH if they went here! I loved this bar. The only catch, for me, is it is only beer and wine. Since I'm usually a *just one drink, maybe two* kind of girl most of the time, that limits me and I don't like boundaries and rules that I can't break. However, I did have a taste or two of Betsy's drink choices, a mudshark and some fancy beer we dubbed "queen of bologna" when no one could pronounce it. This is the kind of bar I wish I had in my neighborhood. Sprawling mixture of tables, bars, and TONS of stuff to do! Pool tables, REAL darts, foosball, board games and some sort of bowling game. Well, it's little pins and a ball on a string you swing to knock down pins...that likely has some fancy (or obviously simple) name that I don't know. The staff and patrons were all friendly, everyone having a good time. Parking wasn't too difficult, even at that hour on a Friday and with the place pretty packed. I've unfortunately had a few reviews where I detail something is just "missing" at a bar or club to really make it 'work'. That is decidedly NOT an issue here. And they are dog friendly!!! Can we have an Elite event here? Or at least another WSHH so I have reasons to return over and over?!? read more

When my wife and I were first moving up to Seattle, and trying to figure out a place to live, we visited here while we were exploring. We wound up buying a place just up the hill from here. That should tell you what we thought of the place. :-) First up, the beers. Lots and lots of beers. And, unlike what I've seen at a lot of other beer bars, they're not all IPAs! They change regularly, and the staff really knows their stuff. Approach the bartender, tell them what you like, and go with their recommendation. You won't be disappointed. The atmosphere in here is wonderful. The place is HUGE! Everyone is super friendly. And, it's dog friendly. I wish my living room were like Beveridge Place. Then my living room could be full of friendly people at couches and tables enjoying each other's company. My guests would be drinking a variety of beer, wine and cocktails, with dogs by their sides. Occasionally my guests would play board games and trivia, and host groups of smart Yelpers with goofy team names. But my living room is not like this, so I will have to return to West Seattle again soon to enjoy this warm and welcoming space. read more

During December's wacky snow storms, I was house bound for two days, staring at a giant fire and drinking alone a little too much for comfort. Things started to resemble The Shining, so I gratefully accepted an invitation to meet some friends for a beer. I trudged through the snow for 20 minutes, and arrived at the Beveridge Place. Walking in the doors was like entering a big hobbit living room. Couches, comfy chairs, cozy lighting, and big, sweet dogs everywhere. Lots of mountain-ish men dressed comfortably. I think the Brawny paper towel guy was playing Connect Four with the Marlboro man. It felt good, people. Real good. I drank a lot of cider (which is the new champagne, if you ask me). I curled up on a couch with a Bernese Mountain Dog at my feet. I felt like Lucy in Mr. Tumnus' house, without the buzzkill of the White Witch. This place is a gem, and feels like West Seattle's home away from home. read more

It had been a very long time since I'd been to Beveridge. So long, in fact that I still hadn't been to their new location until last night. This is one hell of a beautiful bar; I cannot believe what it has become. There are plenty of tables and booths and lots of seating and room for everyone. It has all the community feel and coziness of the old Beveridge, but it's updated and much more spiffy than it's predecessor. The most impressive thing about the new Beveridge, besides their crazy beer selection, is the bar. It's gorgeous. Made of dark wood, it's beautiful and I can't do it any justice trying to describe it. I remember when this place used to be the Video Vault. They've come a long way, baby. Oh, Beveridge Place Pub, how I love thee. Let me count the ways: 1. I realized that Pagliacci Pizza delivers to BPP (but not to my apartment). So, I can call them and place an order, drive over and grab a drink, have my pizza delivered to BPP (which is about 20 blocks closer than picking it up) and take it 20 blocks home to my place. Can you guess what my plans are for this chilly fall evening? 2. Holy crap, this is a cute pub. The ornate bar, the wood floors, and the dim lighting all make for a lovely ambiance. 3. They allow dogs! I don't have the time or energy or space to have my own pup, but there are plenty of pooches around BPP so I can get my doggy fix. 4. The game room is huge. AND the have a armoire full of board games. 5. They have mead (and wine and beer). I love mead. 'Nuff said. 6. I went for happy hour which seems to draw a pleasantly non-douchey clientele. I still haven't really had to motivation to hit up many of the bars in my 'hood, but this pub is going to be seeing a lot more of me. P.S. Ladies, there were men here - lots of 'em. I lament not coming here sooner. Yes, I have heard good things about the beer and trivia nights -- but West Seattle can be a gnarly bus-ride at best. I am very grateful to have been given a ride out there AND back by several fabulous yelpers, and even more grateful to have spent a lovely evening sipping on brews with even more of them there. First off, Dog friendly! Like-- super duper dog friendly. I felt a bit naked not having Helo at my side, but made due by petting everyone's puppy that would let me. Next time, the dog is tagging along. Next, and maybe even awesomer -- the beers. Oh my, what a large and glorious tap list. Everything on it is desirable and surprisingly reasonably priced! Being a bit more frugal due to an impending move I somehow managed to only have 2 pints this time around, but can easily see an entire evening waxing onto a late night with several pints of delicious micro-brews behind me. Service was quick, effecient, and friendly. For a Saturday night the place was a-typically "not so busy." Still, it was loud here and I can only imagine the volume going up as the place gets more packed. Lighting is dark and moody, and seating ranges from sitting at the bar, to standard table, to smooshy couches to lounge upon. I dig it all. Only light snacky foods available here -- but menus for delivery are available if you absolutely want/need something tasty to nosh upon while imbibing here. Yesterday, I got a $10,000 raise and a new job yesterday with a failing economy and unemployment being at a all time high. I was in West Seattle with a friend and we came here for a celebratory drink(s). I enjoyed the pub greatly for multiple reasons. 1. I am new to the entire world of beer. I never drank it until the last year. Last night I ordered a Hefeweizen, my go to beer choice. This hefeweizen has an essence of BANANA and it was delicious! 2. An entire amoire filled with board games. I HEART boardgames and could kick your ass any day at Monopoly. I am a tad bit competitive when it comes board games 3. I feel really really pretty here and extremely put together. So ladies if you want to go somewhere with lots of men and little competition this is your place. But as I said in line item #2 I am extremely competitive and enjoy competition and that is why I live in Kirkland and not West Seattle. So what is not to love banana flavored beer, monopoly and I get to feel extremely pretty during the whole bit. The only negatives I didn't drive home after knocking a few back. Now it is snowing and thundering and the bridge is closed and I am stuck in West Seattle... Also it is quiz night on Wednesday and the announcer is slightly obnoxious. Well extremely obnoxious but in a cute I feel powerful because I have a soapbox to stand on and a microphone in hand kind of way. read more

Is this a bar or is it my living room? Or at least what I would like my living room to look like. There are couches and big Laz-E-Boy chairs, the lights are dimmed, and board games are an arm's length away. There is a second room with hardwood floors, a bench, tables with stools, a pool table, and there is shuffle board! Snobby high end beers and wine are all Beveridge serves. No Cosmos and Buttery Nipples here, folks. Take that mess to Belltown. This is for beer fans who don't get overwhelmed when their choices go beyond Mac and Jack and Manny's. No food is served here but you can bring your own. I've seen Pagliacci delivery people drop off pizzas which is a grand plan I may add. The best part about Beveridge is you can bring your pooch as long as its friendly and not disruptive. My dog enjoys this bar almost as much as I do. Beveridge is a great beer drinker's paradise with an easygoing atmosphere that welcomes all with two legs and four. read more

I'm moving to West Seattle. Beveridge Place Pub has a beautiful bar, cozy sofas and a fantastic beer selection! This is a great place to meet a date or hang out with friends. They have a calendar of upcoming beer events which is worth keeping an eye on. My friend and I showed up one recent evening specifically for a special cask of Diamond Knot's "Industrial Ho Ho" delicious and STRONG winter beer. I had originally planned to dock them one star in my review for not serving food, but I like the vibe here so much I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Besides, there are a number of nearby restaurants that deliver and Beveridge keeps a folder of their menus by the door with the newspapers. Problem solved! read more

What a cool little spot! I'd never heard of Beveridge Place until I went there last weekend with some girlfriends. Here are some highlights: -A good beer/drinks selection -A spacious layout made up of a combination of tables, comfy chairs and sofas -Card and board games (many are missing pieces though..) -Dog friendly It was a great spot to catch up with some friends. It wasn't terribly loud, it was clean, and the other patrons all seemed to be enjoying themselves and the company of their dogs, friends or both! The atmosphere was definitely unique. Instead of serving a full menu of food they offer some light snacks but they have a binder of menus from nearby locations that will deliver food. Very handy! The service was good, the beer was excellent and when I get a pet dog - I'll for sure take him here to unwind on the weekends. read more

Beveridge Place Pub is a great place to go if you want to vicariously live the life of a dog owner. You know, it's like being an aunt or uncle...play with the kid, then give it back when it's being bad. At Beveridge Place, you can pet the cute doggies, but when it's time for a bathroom break or when someone gets too aggressive, you just hand the leash back! They have tons of beers on tap, and so far on each visit they've had at least two ciders. Being a cider lover, I was overjoyed at the chance to try something new (and somtimes an old favorite). BPP gets an extra star from me for having an accessible and clean bathroom. Generally bathrooms in drinking establishments are totally gross, and seldom wheelchair accessible. It's nice to find one that's both, at such an enjoyable location! Their parking lot is small, but I've managed to find spots nearby without a problem. Zeeks and Starbucks (as well as Thriftway) are nearby for food if you're hungry. read more

My first thought? Hey! They spelled "beverage" wrong. Doh! Second thought? Thank you, sweet bartender, for the delicious Belgian recommendation. I turned away from the bar to look for a seat, and suddenly just let out a relaxed sigh, surveying the comforting decor and jolly folks. Then I saw a dark shadow below me. What's this? It must have been the world's largest, black Newfoundland! Sorry if I got the breed wrong, but holy dog paws! I thought a bear had broken in to the place for a night cap. "Beaumont" was a sweetheart and his owner was nice, too. We only had time for one beer and one rousing game of this crazy British game called Skittles. It's like tether ball, but with a small wooden ball and nine wooden pegs on a board that you have to hit like bowling pins. And the recess bell never rings! Don't knock it; try it! I won against my sorry opponent and happily went back out into the cold, night air. Can't wait for my next "beveridge"! read more

Nice place, nice ambiance and a great big list of drinks! Went there last night with some fellow yelpers for the West Seattle Hoedown (umm, I mean "Happy Hour"). Parking was easy enough to find (+1), the place was nice and spacious with a great ambiance and beautiful wood work (+1), the drink list was astounding and maybe even a bit overwhelming (but still +1) the company I was with was entertaining and engaging (+1). I couldn't decide what beer to try so I decided to get my new *regular* beer, Manny's, great beer but lame on my part for not being more adventurous and trying something new. (-1 for me). :( I was a bit surprised that they didn't have food, other than nuts and popcorn, but you can order out for delivery, seems kind of strange but at least it's an option! They have a game room that is almost half of the building so that's cool, unfortunately I didn't get to venture in there since we were all busy chatting it up. I'll try out the game room next time for sure and update my review, but it did look like fun in there.
