I'm glad Fremont brewing added a second location to Columbia City. What I appreciate about this location is their space as well as the free snacks. They offer free pretzels and apples next to their water station. Which conveniently located next to their boardgame/cardgame section. During my most recent visit, I did not try the food that they offered or their beer. I actually opted for their non alcoholic beverages. If you have already, their cold brew on tap is good as well as affordably priced. I recommend it as well as their ginger beer. It has just enough spice without being overly intense. I mean, I also have had their beers on multiple occasions. Definitely up to standard. Cheers

Great beer choices. Chill plan to hang out with friends and family. Everyone who works here were super friendly! Thanks for the chill vibes.

Great beer, vibes, and games. They have lots of table to spread out and play some of the games they have and the people working are super friendly to help you find a beer you like.

    Dark Star limited release

We came here for a Yelp experience and ended up buying a bottle of the limited release Bourbon Barrel Aged Dark Star. Our bartender was Brady, who was super helpful and even gave us good recommendations of nearby lunch spots one of which we took him up on called Jackalope Tex Mex. Brady gave us tastings of the Coalescence barrel aged Cuvee along with the aforementioned Dark Star. Each was lovely. This venue has a large open area and we explored it and wrote on the stadium seating chalkboard and sat in the bright area up front. I am so happy to see that Fremont Brewing has opened this new location right in the heart of the re-energized neighborhood on Rainier Ave. Great job Fremont Brewing!

We stopped by Fremont Brewing at their new location in Columbia City for a Yelp Elite event and decided to purchase a flight instead of getting a pint, and then bought a 6-pak of their Non-Alcoholic (NA) Dark which won a Gold Medal at the 2024 Great American Beer Festival held in Denver last month. The Coalescense Barrel-Aged Cuvee was my wife's favorite - with coconut layered alongside the bourbon barrel flavor. I had to go back for another 4oz pour of the BBAD, Barrel-Aged Barley wine. It was killer! I was excited that I could still get a fresh hop beer (Field to Ferment). The location has lots of different types of seating, games, merch, and free pretzels. The bartender was friendly, super cool and helpful when we chose our flight. Can't wait to come back this weekend with friends to enjoy a full pint of the BBAD - maybe two :). This is a great edition to Columbia City, just around the corner from Molly Moon's.

This place is a fantastic family friendly location with high quality beer! Fremont Brewing is a local brand to stand behind so it's quite a delight that they have created a fun space with chalk boards, games, free snacks and great seating options to hang out at. Their beer selection is amazing and you can bring in outside food to eat here or have a Mammoth sandwich ordered on site. As a mom it's often my job to do recon for a place our 8yo can enjoy that also caters to adults and this place does it. It's very relaxing and in the heart of a lot of fun. Take a few extra minutes to find parking and say hi to Brady--he was wonderful with solid recommendations and an upbeat personality.

Cozy and bright space with a good selection of drinks, friendly folks who are knowledgeable about their beer, free apples and pretzels, and a selection of board games. I went on a Friday night and there was a decent amount of people there, but I still found a seat. Parking right across the street was fine since it's free after 6pm; during the day you might need to circle the block or park in the bordering blocks.

As a regular to the location in Fremont, this place is just as cozy even without the beer garden. Plenty of bar and table space, plus an area to play board games or just enjoy the scenery. The selections rotate seasonally and they have plenty of merchandise and beers to go.

    Opening weekend Woo hoo!

Cool, friendly, very open space. Parking can be a challenge in Columbia city district. Lots of seating, windows, and breezeways. Dog friendly. Great patio seating in the back too!! Same great beers as the Fremont north urban garden serves. No food service, but you can bring food from all the great places nearby. Cheers!

Awesome brewery. Wonderful staff. Parking can be a little tough but not a big deal. Everything is clean and the drinks are amazing! A big thank you to Adam for being a supporter of the local youth soccer programs and giving back to the community. This is definitely a brewery that doesn't disappoint, they are immersed in the community and deserve all our support.

I'm actually not a bagel guy, nor do I ever think about them when it comes to grabbing a quick bite somewhere but this was a perfect opportunity to try it again. There was an assortment of bagels, and I got half of an everything bagel and - the one that several of my coworkers highly recommended - the rosemary bagel. Both go well with cream cheese. - The everything bagel was pretty standard; I could taste the garlic and sesame seeds throughout. Garlic was quite powerful on this one though, and I almost thought of garlic bread until I remembered bagels are harder to chew on. - My favorite was the rosemary bagel, just like my coworkers. I could taste the herbs clearly on this one; it was aromatic yet a little bitter. It was balanced with the saltiness already present on the bagel. Since I didn't go to their physical location - which looks like quite a walk from Georgetown - I have yet to see the inside of this place. Having some of their bagels makes me wanna go check it out someday!

I just ordered a half dozen of bagels this time but would like to sit a bit next time. Cute place in the neighborhood. Everything Bagel was kind of on the darker side and I was worried it might be whole wheat or something.... Just baked a bit darker than my preference. Got them home and they were crusty with a good chew. Will be back again next time I'm in Georgetown or Beacon Hill.

I was really vacillating between 4 and 5 stars here since my final rating for this place is 4.5/5…read more I'm choosing to rate this 5 stars at the end because of high potential, great staff and hearty food! This indoor restaurant is close to the streets of Rainier Ave and there is unmarked parking all along S Grand St you can utilize, but it can be nearly full like on the Saturday noon around 12:30pm I came here with parents. It is in the same building as the Melody Jabooda Apartments, and is pretty compact inside. There's several small tables inside than can fit a max of 3 people, yet the interior muffles the bulk of the noisy traffic on Rainier Ave. There's some decor on the walls and near the counter where the kitchen is, and the counter to order is almost directly in front of the entrance. Phone reception inside was iffy, as I had to go outside the building to check into here on the Yelp app. Seating was full, mostly from patrons ordering and taking their goods to go but with some actually dining in. For a place that serves banh mi, they also have pho, bun, Vietnamese coffee, lattes and matcha drinks. Several of the drinks are also available in hot formats, and all drinks cost the same except for Vietnamese coffee and lattes which cost $1.95 and $1 less before tax, respectively. There are different price tags for the hot drinks. Banh mi sandwiches also come in bags that look like they could be used for roasted coffee beans - they're dark brown and are about the same size as store-bought coffee bean bags. What a coincidence given they also serve coffee! We got many things from here: - Old school Vietnamese coffee ($7, hot): according to my dad (and me after having several sips), this unfortunately tasted more like American coffee; it was missing sweetened condensed milk to make it more like so, and the coffee itself wasn't strong. It seems regular milk was used as the sweetener instead. - Oolong house blend ($8.95): your standard milk tea. I added both grass jelly and tapioca onto this. Mom liked this and had no complaints; I had a sip and thought it was pretty good too. - Grilled pork banh mi sandwich ($9.95, medium toast): I partially shared this one with my mom. Grilled pork is all right at best, otherwise it has all the works of a great banh mi. We'd still prefer the one from Q Bakery for now. - Butterfly matcha: the butterfly pea flower in this drink created a blue hue inside the drink in its own layer and essentially enhanced the ceremonial matcha taste a lot more, since it tasted more woody and earthier than usual once I mixed everything. It's also sweet enough to satisfy any matcha lover out there. I loved this drink a lot and would highly recommend! - House special banh mi sandwich ($10.95, medium toast): this sandwich is much larger than I expected, and comes with Vietnamese ham, pork ham, pate, jalapeños and what looked like Chinese sausage along with the same works as the grilled pork. Everything went well together and it was loaded! All meats were fresh and just this sandwich alone made me really full. Another high recommend! I really appreciated the staff for asking all the clarifying questions for our banh mi sandwiches and drinks, like how toasted we wanted our sandwiches, the sweetness and ice levels of our drinks, and toppings for those drinks. They also let me and other patrons in line know of wait times for our food, with my order being quoted about 15 minutes and coming out by that timeframe. This place has been open since September of last year, and they have a decked out menu for anyone wanting to grab both food and drink. I'm definitely coming back to try their other drinks and sandwiches!

Oh yeah banh mi spot that's definitely worth a stop even if you're just coming in for drinks…read more We had just eaten, so we skipped the sandwiches this time and went straight for something refreshing. The strawberry jasmine green tea was light, fragrant, and not overly sweet, while the salted plum calamansi jasmine tea had that perfect balance of tangy, citrusy, and slightly savory super refreshing and honestly hit the spot. The space itself is nicely decorated with a cozy, modern vibe, and the customer service was great friendly, quick, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Only downside is the place is a bit on the smaller side, so seating can feel limited if it gets busy. Haven't tried the banh mi yet, but based on this first impression, I'm definitely coming back to see what they're about. Rating: 4/5 (for drinks + service + vibe so far)
