In August of 2017, I took a microblading course for half a day. I had full confidence in the artist because I personally knew her. Excellent service, quality work, and a friendly, fabulous salon and I love my eyebrows! I came to see Erica, she was very nice and informative about the process. The salon is very clean, chic and comfortable. Erica explained every step of the way making me feel very at ease. I was looking for a full natural eyebrow look, and my eyebrows were very uneven. My hair growth is different from each other and one brow sits lower on my brows bone than the other. She took note and did a great job measuring and shaping my eyebrows, this process took quite a bit, but I really appreciated the effort and interest to make sure they were right. Erica also takes pictures throughout to see how the lines look. In the second visit for touch up, the process was easier and Erica takes even more time to make sure your eyebrows are perfect. She would give me the mirror and say, look closely and don't be shy, tell me what you think. I admit those first two weeks are nerve racking, one eyebrow was darker than the other....now I really see the importance of the month touch up. It's impossible to predict how your eyebrows will react, so in the touch up appointment, Erica was very creative and good about adding those perfect strokes to make your eyebrow look even and perfect. The microblading process was painless and I was very comfortable the entire time. I left the salon feeling extremely happy! This is by far one of the best decisions I've ever made. I've been thinking about getting microblading for awhile now and after following Erica's work on IG for a few months as well as having a fellow colleague's recommendation I decided to take the plunge and I'm so happy I did. Erica is extremely talented, present and has great attention to detail. The space is clean, bright, white and warm. She explained every step/detail along the way and she had me sign off on the shape before blading began. She is extremely positive and makes you feel so comfortable and confident in the work she is doing. From start to finish the entire process took about 2.5 hours -- unfortunately I was a victim of the late '90s eyebrow plucking craze so Erica did not have much to work with (sorry Erica!) That said, the results were even better than I could have imagined. They completely changed my face in the best way possible, they are absolutely perfect and I actually cried real tears of happiness when I got home. It is important to note that microblading is a process and it takes two visits to achieve the best results as well as some self care/restrictions during the 10 day healing process. That said, it's totally worth it. It has only been two days since I've had them done and I'm amazed. I can't wait to go back in 6 weeks for the final touch up -- absolute perfection, I wish I had found Erica sooner. I have thin eyebrows (I'm a Black woman, FYI). Everyday I have to fill them in, but being someone who doesn't wear makeup daily, the quality of my eyebrows varied daily. I began researching semipermanent makeup so that I could get up and go to the gym without having to worry about looking a little odd (I'm sure no one would notice but for my own piece of mind). I found this place in yelp and booked an appointment. I can't pluck my eyebrows they are so thin, and going to have them professionally shaped seemed like a waste since there wasn't much there. That said, Erica does an amazing job. The location (although, I know they are going to move) was clean and professional. Erica took a lot of time with me and was very reassuring. My brows look great!!!!!!!!!! Other than some laser here and there and waxing before that, I do not have a lot familiarity with cosmetic procedures, so I don't have a great point of comparison but the experience was very nice.
