The staff here is terrible. Most times you walk in here there's nobody at the cash register. You could almost walk out with anything. Should you get a tasty beer from their wide selection of brews? (the beer selection, while plentiful is usually older and has been sitting on the shelf) A bottle of Southern Comfort? Gin with that fancy Fever Tree tonic? Well you'll decide eventually and probably end up grabbing some munchies for drunk munchies time as your evening progresses. Purchased a black caviar here and they gave me one that was expiring in about a month. Caviar shouldn't expire so soon and they showed me the average is five month life. I do have 90 days as it states on the receipt to return it, but no, not here. After wasting so much time, they completely refused to take back expired caviar and costed me $108. Got it for some special occasion in the future, I guess should've been more alert with this place. Caveat Emptor!!! read more

I use to go to bevo but that store is whack. They over sell you and not much rare stuff if any. Its like a blah store nothing to be overly excited about. I found the green jug and that store blew my mind. Found great rare sours. Russian river beer also found. All the big name beer u can find there the best in the valley when comes to beer selection. This is a pretty good place to shop for wine. But be sure you know what you want, or else shop price, because what the employees know about wine could fit under your thumbnail. Also, beware of the $0.05 sales -- if you have Vivino or some other way to check prices, you'll find that the stated price plus five cents isn't that much different from what you'd pay for two bottles somewhere else. Also, it's happened a couple of times that at the register, a price rings up that is higher than the price on the tag on the shelf. I have yet to see it give a discount. So, keep your eyes open, know what you want, and be slightly aware. read more

He was singing and making horribly lame jokes and trying to be friendly, I guess, but I could tell everyone in line, which was getting longer and longer as he chatted and cracked jokes to himself and asked me about my last name, was annoyed as well. Why on earth didn't this place GET A NEW FLOOR after they took over from the 99 Cent Store? You walk into Bev Mo and it's SO GHETTO CHEAP ASS that FLOOR it's hideous. A complete eye sore. I know terrazzo flooring is expensive, but it will last a lifetime. Or even a terrazzo knock off. I can walk to this Bev Mo but I drive to total wine and more in northridge because it's CLEAN. I don't really go to BevMo much because i always thought their prices were too high. But I thought I would try again with the 5 cent sale going on. I feel ripped off yet again. I went in to buy a Lockwood Chardonnay on the 5 cent sale only to find that the retail is really half of what I should have paid for it. Net I did okay on the 5 cent sale but it is really an $8 bottle of wine when I looked on the internet when I got home instead of $16 which was the range I was looking for. I am trying Total Wine which I am told has much better prices. read more

I asked them to order a special tequila that they did not carry and it came in within a week I guess from another location so it was really nice that I didn't have to drive far to get what I wanted. I took off one star because they didn't call me when my order came in, I had to call them and check but at least they got it. they seemed a little understaffed the second time I was at the store, but it may have just been an unusually busy spurt. read more

The staff clearly has no idea what their stock is, and don't be surprised to find the shelves not stocked, especially during their sales. The manager was unhelpful and rude. I went looking for tostadas/chips and luckily I found them here but when I went to pay the lady asked me for my drivers license to be able to purchase them . When have you gone to a store/liquor and had to show ID or drivers license to purchase hips/tostadas . I know I went to a store where they sell wine/alcohol . The price was right, but the customer service was WRONG. The cashier actually had the nerve to repeatedly ask my twelve year old daughter for identification because she innocently touched a mini bottle of moonshine displayed at the counter. Not jokingly- dead serious- and virtually shamed me for not producing ID for her! Sorry, but no where in the store is there signage that states that minors are not allowed to accompany their parents who are shopping. And the cashier was relentless, even after I calmly stated that I was her mom and that she was a minor who had no intent whatsoever to purchase alcohol. He was like a broken record: "...But she touched it. Well, she touched it!" It made for an awkward experience, and the manager had to step in when other customers were equally appalled and annoyed for the young cashier's over-the-top reactionary behavior. Went in today to buy different liquors and wine for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is my local store so I have been here several times. I had about 15 bottles in the cart of different things: wine, liquor, some gift sets and even candy. As I went up to the cashier, she asked me for my ID. Showed it to her and she then asked to see my boyfriend's ID as well. We had stopped on our way home from the gym so he was not carrying his wallet. I told her I was buying the stuff so that she did not need to worry about him. She then refused to ring me up. I then asked to speak to the manager, she shows up and tells the manager "They do not have ID" I quickly correct her and tell the manager that I do have my ID, showed it to her, and she tells me that we were both there so we both needed an ID even though my Bevmo Account is under my name, the credit card is under my name and they have my ID. Cashier jumps in and says "Why don't you get in your car and go home, you know, to get that ID?" To which I tell her no, thank you, I am the one buying the stuff, not him, he should not be asking for his ID. This is a new rule that I have never heard of and honestly it is unnecessary. Both cashier and manager were extremely rude and unprofessional. Never going back, that is for sure. read more
