I went to Dr. Yang's office this morning because I had swelling around my upper left teeth (#13-15). I used to have my own endodontist, but since that doctor will be out of town soon, I needed to find a new one online. Dr. Yang had outstanding reviews, so I decided to visit him. In summary, Dr. Yang has absolutely earned my five-star rating! His office is clean, and the front desk staff and assistants are all very friendly and professional. Most importantly, Dr. Yang was able to diagnose the root cause of my problem within just a few minutes. He explained my dental issue in detail and immediately sent the report to both me and my dentist. I only paid the consultation fee and an X-ray fee -- that's it! Dr. Yang saved me hundreds of dollars by not recommending an unnecessary cone beam CT scan. He also did not pressure me into paying thousands of dollars for root canal treatment when it was not necessary at this time. Dr. Yang is a very honest and trustworthy endodontist. Unfortunately I have needed two root canals. Fortunately I found Dr. Yang through a colleague. One root canal was done about 4 years ago and was associated with a huge periapical radiolucency which has healed up on recent evaluation (yay). That tooth was difficult with tiny calcified canals that take experience to handle. My second root canal started recently and Dr. Yang takes his time and proceeds with care. I am pleased with his care and results. I should note that I assess his final fills of my canals with a rather strict professional eye. He passes with flying colors. read more

Dr. Yang & his team are knowledgeable and compassionate, both of which I think are necessary of any dental specialist. I have a history of dental work gone wrong and therefore a lot of anxiety about future dental work. I had three consultations at three different places for an apicoectomy that had to be done on an undersized front tooth with a crown on it. In other words, I had a unique, relatively rare case right in the front of my smile and it was imperative to me that I had the surgery done extremely well. I'm happy to announce it has gone well - as well as I can hope - and I will post an update in a few months if necessary. Here are some highlights of my visits so far: - I was forthcoming about my anxieties and Dr. Yang helped me decide how to best approach my surgery. I opted for some light sedatives that made me extremely calm during the surgery. I was also able to wear headphones and listen to music during the procedure. - He prescribed me an antibiotic and mouthwash for the week following surgery and the healing process was very easy. I had minimal swelling (I've seen photos of people with massive swelling after apico surgery - to the level of wisdom teeth removal - and my swelling was nowhere close to that). - The receptionist is familiar with everything at the office and can answer all your questions. She dealt with billing my insurance and - unlike in other reviews I've seen - that went perfectly well! She offered me an estimate of what I'll likely pay and what my insurance will pay and so, on the day of the surgery, I paid my part of the estimate. Weeks later she came back with my claim from insurance and I owed another $40 so the estimate was very close to the real bill. - It is very easy to get ahold of office staff or even Dr. Yang himself. In once instance, I was able to text him an urgent question I had after my surgery. He also called me around 8 PM the day of the surgery to check in on me. I appreciate the transparency and availability of Dr. Yang. - The staff make sure that your visits are always paired with the same dental assistant which just eased my mind so much. I love knowing who I am going to see and being sure that they will remember my concerns, anxieties, and preferences. - Dr. Yang always takes the time to ask me if I need clarification or have questions, never rushing me out of the door. He uses X-rays and photos when explain ing his thought process about my case, he checks in with me during the visits, and he tells me what he's going to do before he does it. Yet another way he makes me feel comfortable, cared for, and heard during my visits. read more

This is a long overdue review! Bexter is the only dentist I felt he's very honest and I can trust! I have dual Delta Dental insurance. All paid by insurance and at the rate insurance said, no extra. I had 4 visits total 1. Initial diagnoses, planning on the works and schedule for procedures 2. First drill, taking out the first 2 nerves, he was very gentle, never expected that, and I had very good experience with his work! 3. 2nd drill, taking out the MB2 nerve, all went very well, anesthesia was well applied on both visits, no side effect nothing happened. 4. Half year after procedure check up, and checked out the works of my general dentist, and x-Ray and see any problem after 6 months, and said I don't need to go back no more unless I feel I have to, or another case only. Bexter will only do molar related works, and he will not do anything he is not supposed to do! Not like other dentists out there trying to do everything and refer when things go south. read more

While his website gives the impression of professionalism and expertise, the office experience is quite the opposite: 1) The dental assistant needed a lot of help understanding the x-ray she had on the screen (fron the date, to the tooth #). 2) When confused about the tooth, she asked me to point to it and when I did she said that "is the wrong one". So if she knew all along, why ask me? 4) When I told her I was uncomfortable receiving care from someone who did not even know what tooth they were working on she asked "What happened"? so there is no self-awareness how her behaviour could quickly lose the confidence of the patient. I am not sure if dr. Yan was running late so asked your staff to ask some distracting questions, but those were not the ones to use to instill confidence in the care givers. So if you walk into his office in high hopes and trust that he can help, don't. This group does not even know what teetch they are to work on! Very disappointed customer.... read more

I got referred to Dr. Yang for a bad molar tooth. He did the inspection and afterwards, the staff gave me a quote on patient payment of $300, and asked me if I am ok with it. I thought it is fair price and paid it and the operation went smoothly. Two month later, their stuff called to tell me that their estimate on insurance company payment was $1000 too low so I need to pay for the difference. Shocked and upset as I was, I declined paying that amount and asked why their estimation was so wrong. They said it is my fault to overlook the fact that they are out of network for my insurance policy, which is the main reason for the difference. After some back and forth they agree to cut the extra patient payment to $500. It is true that it is my fault to not have done my homework to check if they are in network for me and it was nice of them to reduce the final payment, but I do not appreciate them giving a price estimate that is $1000 off without any warnings whatsoever(if they had, I would probably have thanked them gratefully and switch to an in network doctor). I was really worried about getting a root canal, but Dr. Yang and his staff were great. They were sure to set up safety protocols for COVID, and whenever I was there, I was the only patient being seen. I never had to wait long, and his staff was very courteous, friendly, and competent. I really appreciated that Dr. Yang would explain what he was doing, how the procedure would proceed, and what to expect afterward. He went above and beyond to make sure my tooth was taken care of, even when I ran into some unexpected issues along the way. He was very patient with my questions, thorough in his explanations, and my stubbornly painful tooth is holding up well now, so I think he must have done a great job! He took his time, explained as he went along what he was doing and waited when I needed because I have dental trauma from previous experiences. His pricing is fair for the great care he gives. Update: It think I was not clear enough, I was told by one of his clerks(Rachelle) that they have updated their "SYSTEM" and they found out I still owe them money, there was no mention that the insurance did not cover this/that/the other. My general dentist tried to send me to a different endodontist but, I remembered Dr Yang from many years prior and knew to go back having felt safe and well treated then. My visit to Dr. Yang was about as good as it gets. He's friendly, personable, and takes the time to make sure you understand what treatment you need and what your options are. During your procedure, he numbs you up really good, then checks in often and makes sure you're okay and not feeling any pain. He also lets you bring your own DVDs to watch through a pretty nifty goggles/headphones combo. So I'm sitting there watching Stepbrothers, having a root canal done, trying not to laugh out loud. It sure beats gripping the armrests with white knuckles and counting the tiles in the ceiling. In short, go to this guy. I went to Dr. Yang from a referral not knowing what to expect. I had put off some time of getting my upper molar repaired..ie...root canal. I must say Dr. Yan and his staff were excellent. The personality of the Dr. was fantastic. Dr Yang calmly described what needed to be done. The procedure went actually very well considering the infection in the area and within an hour or so I was out. One more appointment to make sure everything was ok some two weeks later and off I went! I really cannot say whether the cost of my procedure was high or lower than normal. I had such a great experience at Dr. Yang's office. I needed an emergency root canal and Dr. Yang was able to fit me in immediately. He was recommended to me by a friend. His office was very high tech with all the newest equipment. He was very thorough and never made me feel like he was rushing to move on to the next patient. Dr. Yang not only fit me in the day I came to his office, he did a root canal on my retained baby tooth, something I later found out is not a procedure most endodontists want to do. He is gentle, thorough, and explains everything as he goes, which allayed my fears, as this was the first root canal I had experienced. My procedure took two sessions on two separate days, but I appreciate his determination to be thorough. He also did the whole thing through the crown, so I won't have the extra expense of a new crown. I am midway through a complicated process of having a root canal repeated on the same problem tooth and Dr. Yang has been the only reasonable voice throughout the entire experience. After my previous dentist was unsuccessful in performing root canals on two of my teeth (one twice), he referred me to a nearby Endodontist (not Yang) who then diagnosed the wrong tooth as the problem!. Therefore, I had to search for both a new dentist and a new Endodontist. I was very lucky to find Dr. Yang. I cannot praise him enough. He is an outstanding Endodontist as well as a very kind and considerate individual. On the first failed root canal, there was too much infection and I needed to have the tooth extracted and get an implant. On the other failed root canal, he found that my dentist had "overshot" and poked through a root channel with filling material which apparently was deposited near a nerve. Dr. Yang performed multiple root canals with several weeks in between treatments and was finally able to fix the tooth. Dr. Yang carefully and clearly explained the treatment plan and options for me. He even gave me copies of papers which described the various reasons for failed root canal treatments! He was very open and patient to listen to my concerns and descriptions of the pain and/or sensations after each treatment. He was very systematic in his approach. During the actual root canal treatments, he was very careful to make sure I wasn't in any pain. As long as there was improvement, he was unwilling to give up. Not only was this certainly appreciated by me, my new dentist was very complementary of Dr. Yang for his persistence. I highly recommend Dr. Yang with five out of five stars. read more
