I'm writing this review as I'm sitting waiting for a fill. In case the owner really sees the comments, I'm the lady that went in for a fill that you assumed didn't understand the language and preceded to talk about me to your client and one of your workers. You told her not to do my nails because I didn't make an appointment and you wanted me to wait. Well just in case you don't remember about a month ago what you told me was different, I asked to make an appointment and you said I didn't really need to that I could just walk in since busy times vary. Fast forward to today, 5 different people walked in, in the hour that I sat and waited and you had them all go before me. I asked if I could use your restroom and you very angrily said "sure why not right?" As if I was deliberately inconveniencing you. I sat around just to see the outcome and quite honestly to hear what else you would say about me. I'm not mad quite frankly I wouldn't give anyone like you the satisfaction, you won't lose sleep over me and I won't lose sleep over you. Bottom line, I hear from your employees You that you're a good boss and don't overwork them, it's just a true shame that you are extremely unprofessional. read more

I've been here a few times already, they've always done a great job on my pedicures. Today I went in with my mom and they treated her wonderfully. This is was the first time I visited The establishment and it was half hour prior to closing time with expectations that they would turn me away considering how late it was, but they accepted me! So that right there gives them 2 stars. I went in for a Gel Pedi, and my expectations for a pedi are much more higher then when receiving a mani. The lady that did my toes did a phenomenal job even tho it was close to closing time she took her time with grooming my toe nails which is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to nail salons. I've gone to other salons where they do the bare minimum of just trimming my toe nails but here the lady took the the time to clean under the nail, cleaned up my cuticles, and filed! Everyone was super nice and patient with me and my family, they also did a beautiful job with my nails and I think it was a pretty good experience and price, but when my mom was getting her nails done the owner was just multitasking and barley paying any attention and was pretty rude other than that amazing! read more

I went here because it was the only salon that had an opening on a Sunday. The guy was very rude and did a horrible job on my acrylic nails. They were super thick and looked like they already needed a fill when I walked out of the salon. When I got my nails filled at another salon the woman commented that the guy was obviously new to doing nails. I might give another person at this salon a shot in the future, but I'll never go to that guy again. read more

First of all this is just like every other nail salon I've been too. They don't speak hardly any English and they rush clients in and out. Very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Word of advice to the owner....you run a business, in America, you and your employees should be able to speak enough English to communicate with your clients. We, as clients, pay your bills. No clients, no business! I went in for a pedicure and was greeted by a girl who spoke no English. She sat me in a chair and immediately got to work on my feet. She never looked up at me and never talked. I felt very uncomfortable in this shop as all the employees were talking amongst themselves. No clients who were in the shop were talking at all. We just kind of watched the employees run around. After she painted my toenails, she got up and left me sitting there for 20 minutes as she took another client. Finally another girl came over to remove the toe separators so I could pay and leave. When I got home I noticed that she had only removed some of the dead skin from my heels. That was the main reason for the pedicure in the first place. So I had to come home and use my pedi-egg on the rest of my feet. Save your money and don't go here! Rude, rude, rude! read more

There is a huge reason why I drive from Reno to Spanish Springs for this place. It's a walk-in mani pedi place, but she totally took her time with my pedicure. I look great. The place is great and clean. I never regret the drive. read more

My daughter and I stopped in without an appointment for manicures. They said they could get us in right away and told us to pick our gel color. I told them we didn't want gel. The owner or manager kept pushing us to get gel. Again I told her no, just a regular manicure. And again. They finally sat us at a station with a cereal bowl of boiling water that you couldn't put your hands in. The manicurist then came and recommended gel. Again, I said no. The manicure consisted of a little filing and cuticle trim. No lotion, no cuticle oil, rude people and $25 per person. Went here for the first time and will NOT be back. I go for Pedicures to enjoy and relax, well not happening here. The LOUD and non stop chatter of every employee in the place the entire time I was there was mind numbing!!! I almost told her to stop and walked out, it was that bad. HORRIBLE place ! I was referred here to the owner , Vicki . Spoke with her and she supposedly couldn't get me in with her . She put me with a Michele , and the worst experience from the moment I Walked through the doors til I walked out ! I showed a picture of what I wanted , and got the complete opposite , I told her they were to long and she assured me that they would get shorter because she was not done filing them down yet, that wasn't the case because they were the same length when she started painting them . Nonetheless , I showed her my picture 3 x , and she kept saying " yeah , yeah ok ok " so I figured how hard would it be to make a sunflower on the top of my ringer fingers ?! Apparently it's HARD for her . A sunflower , and in the pic it shows , clearly . Yellow and brown . I get white stripes , if that's what you want to call them , with a little dap of yellow in the middle , and to top it off she puts the design at the bottom Of my nails instead of the top corners , tips , where the picture shows . I asked for them to be fixed and she tells me "I can't today were to busy " who the HELL tells a customer that ?! Especially a new customer with an appt, I wasn't a " walk in " this place is garbage ! Before she took me back there were a few teenage gals sitting there . They asked me what I was getting , showed them my picture and they loved them , I go up to pay , and those girls just happen to be sitting , getting there nails done at the seats next to the paying stand. She asked to see , so I showed her . The look she gave me ( mind you I have NO idea who these girls were ) was One of embarrassment ( probably for me , that I have to walk out with my hands looking like that ) that is SAD ! NEVER will I refer this place ! And for 45.00$ ya ! I call to talk to Vicki , Saturday , the following day after getting them done to let her know what happen , and she Says" oh well I never have a complaint about her when I have referred someone to her " ( yup probably because they just said screw it because they don't want you touching their nails again , an ya , you probably haven't seen those people again either ) So petty . NO offering Of fixing my nails , refunding , taking off $ for a fill , nothing . So it's no wonder you, Vicki , owner of " beyond nails " has a 2.5 star rating ! You're customer service is horrible . Garbage work . They don't even make conversation with clients , I watched , and vaguely saw 10 employees, and they ALL were talking in their language , amongst themselves ! I have been going to this nail salon every two or three weeks for the last 9 months. They had amazing service for a good majority of the time. This last experience though, absolutely horrible. And unfortunately the service has been getting increasingly worse the last few times I've been there. I always get their highest level pedicure, it runs me about $60 each time plus a tip. Today, the customer service was so absolutely horrible. I have NEVER in my life been treated like I was a criminal, especially in a place of business that I have been a regular good paying customer for almost a year. It was so disappointing and so embarrassing. Their owner is a cold callous, money hungry woman. She doesn't care about you or the time and money you've spent in her salon. Spare yourself the energy it takes to argue with the nail techs about what you want, and spare yourself the embarrassment that these people will inflict on you when it's THEM who should be embarrassed. read more

Beyond Nails has been a fantastic place to go for a pedicure! Their acrylics are not my favorite especially when trying more innovative ideas, but I can always rely on a good pedicure. They spend a good chunk of time making your toes look cute! It's also nice to sit in a massage chair while your feet soak for a bit. read more

wow. I'd really rather give this place zero stars. To start off my friend and I had made appointments, following that we had to wait 15+ minutes to even sit down. My appointment was for a fill and all my nails except one were still on as well as strongly on my nails. the lady continued to tell me that my nails were so bad that I needed a full set which I couldn't afford given the fact that I came for a fill. Next she started to rip my nails off painfully then when she realized I was irritated she then sent me off to another girl who then glued them all on me sideways. This is for my wife, quoted $35 for a set of nails, charged $55 later. No prices are posted. The gal was ruff and hurt while removing the old acrillic nail and the tool got under the real nail and caused bleeding and a lot of pain. The acted like it didn't happen. No apology or anything. Wow. Talk about uncomfortable. Walked in, asked for a simple gel polish change on my toes. Lady come over to me and asks what I want and tell her I simply want all silver glitter and show a picture. Tells me they "don't have that glitter" very rudely. I said ok I just want a chunky silver glitter. Pretty easy. She asks why I don't want a whole pedicure. I tell her I simply just don't need one right now. From that point on she was very rude. Didn't say one word to me the entire rest of the time. Had a scowl on her face. Acted like I was the most annoying person she had ever encountered. And on top of that rushed through everything as quick as she could. I felt super uncomfortable and unwelcome. Did I still tip her? My mother and I made appointments for a pedi for me and a mani/pedi for her. They rushed through the pedi's, no foot or calf massage. Didn't do cuticles, poor paint job. And they forgot to do my moms mani, when we asked when they were going to do her nails we were told they were too busy. Not impressed, will not go back. I have been coming here since 2010. I've tried other "day spas" they do not come close to the wonderful pedicures and manicures or gel nails (that's what I get) at Beyond Nails. The work is perfect I get compliments on my nails and toe nails all the time!! And the gel polish lasts on my toes up to 6 weeks. I encourage you to go and see for yourself!! They did my nails for my wedding and went all out for me they were amazing!! The owner Vicki is great and is very inviting when you come in to the shop I've only had her and my favorite Hanah do my nails and pedicures but everyone there does a great job. Even when they are busy they will make time for you!! They are the BEST I will never go anywhere else!! read more

Absolutely awful & way over priced. I got charged $40 for a fill, and at another salon I spent that much to get a full set. My nails are in so much pain after getting my nails done here. The lady dropped the polish brush on the floor in a pile of nail dust and broken old acrylics and didn't even rinse it. It went right back into the bottle. They kept tacking on more money for nothing. I also got charged more for wanting an overlay of acrylic over the whole nail, typically that is included with the fill at other places. If you can go somewhere else, please do. It's not worth it. read more

I've tried this salon several times over last few years....mainly because they take walk ins- they are always busy, but the owner (Vicky) is so rude to customers, complains a lot, seems to be yelling or complaining to other nail techs in a different language- constantly switching people around in seats- moving them from one tech to another - even though I had an appointment - was not seen for 1/2 hour - this always seems to be the case when I've gone there- most of the techs are nice once you get in but for a business owner, she really needs to be a bit nicer to people- I've seen her arguing with customers over their service, what they want etc. I won't go back there again read more

My nails came out wonderfully, and I also had my eyebrows waxed which was very relaxing! I wish that the woman who was doing my nails wasn't on her phone though. Iv always given this place the benefit of the doubt despite what people have always told me. I do my eyebrows here at least once a month an iv never really had any issues with that. I also usually always do my nails here but it has been a few months since iv gotten them done an when I went in 2 days ago for a full acrylic set it was just a horrible experience. I walked in with my girlfriend an straight away I asked if they do Chrome nails, it's not that new of a trend so when the owner said yes they do I figured it wouldn't be a problem. I always come in with a picture of exactly what I want an it's never anything super complex so I show her the picture she says "OK choose a color from my chrome powders that best match" so I do then she sits me an my friend down an says it will be a couple minutes. They were pretty busy so I wasn't to upset about having to wait I was a little bothered tho because I did call an make an appointment ahead of time. So I waited about 30 min before she started on me and my friend only waited 15 minutes. So they started her first and mind you we weren't able to sit by each other which also kinda bothered me because you go there to relax an talk with your friend. Oh well.. So once mine start she starts asking all of her co workers around her about chrome nails as if she has no idea what she is doing an if u know anything about chrome nails it's just a powder u apply after ur acrylic nails an gel color is on. Well that's not at all what she did she ended up mixing the crome powder into the acrylic powder then adding a bunch of acrylic color to it to make some pinkish color. It was just a mess! Then after she applied the acrylic she then added a gel top coat then rubbed more chrome powder on top needless to say it was nothing like it was supposed to be it was just horrible. I ended up paying 55 dollars which the owner said was the price after her "discount" she was giving me. I payed an left an trust me I will never be returning not even to do my eyebrows it was just such an unpleasant horrible experience an also I ended up being there almost 3 hours!! read more

Do not give your business to the place! I tried to use a gift card from a student and apparently they expire after 6 months ( I obviously don't get many opportunities to get a pedicure!). The owner is always quite rude but was especially rude when I tried to explain that I was a teacher and this was a gift. She said I was trying to make her feel bad and that if she made an exception for me she'd have to do that for everyone. I hadn't been to this place in quite some given my previous experiences but I decided to give them another chance because my wonderful nail woman was booked. Lesson learned. I went in for an appointment to have them soak off my acrylic nails and replace them with a gel polish manicure. That is not what I received. Upon walking in, I was asked if I had an appointment to which I said yes and gave them the information and then went to sit down. I was promptly informed to "pick out your color!!" So I stood and the display for their color options was disgusting....color spilled everywhere, bottles without any colors on the outside to even have an idea as to what color they were and to top it off, it's smack in the middle of their walk way so you feel like you're in everyone's way. I picked my color and sat down, still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt when I was rudely yelled at by the technician that she was ready for me. I sat down and instead of a soak off, she proceeded to RIP MY NAILS OFF. Not once did any kind of soak happen. The metal tool she used to take them off with she continued to pass back and forth between her and the techinian next to her AFTER she had ripped off my real nail below exposing skin and causing me to bleed. She then hastily apologized and continued with sanding my nails down further and then applying the gel and calling it a day. No manicure was done but at that point, I certainly didn't want one. I was there a total of 30 minutes, fast but not at all worth it. I am writing this review from my car just outside the building because I am too infuriated and shocked to wait. If I could give a lower rating believe me, I would. I would never recommend coming here but I would however recommend a thorough health inspection. read more

I love this place!!! I have been coming here basically since they opened. Today is the prime example of why they are fabulous. I came in and asked for a BACK FILL but I actually meant to say REGULAR FILL. If you get your nails done you understand these two things are drastically different. After I ask for a back fill I'm playing on Facebook and not paying attention to the fact that all my nails are off. The problem was I had to pick up my daughter from school in 15 minutes!! So I quickly told Vickie I messed up and I only had 15 minutes before I had to leave. Without missing a beat she had Jolie come over and they each busted out one hand and got me out with 3 minutes to spare!!! Thank you Vickie and Jolie!!! You guys are amazing. read more
