He also performed a badly needed filter cleaning (more than once) to assure the last of the dreaded Algae was gone. He also repaired the shaft seals and a minor pipe leak to bring the system up to perfect performance. Mike's name was given to me by Leslie's Pool and I took a chance he was good. Based on my experience, I found the company's pricing to be excessive and their service lacking transparency. During their visit, I was informed that a $5 plastic basket needed replacement which they charge $35; however, no mention was made of a leak in my pool heating system. When I later asked the technician to inspect the heating system issue, I was quoted $195 for a service call, despite the fact that he had been at my home just the day prior. Due to these concerns, I have decided to terminate their services and file a complaint with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Then after Ryan finally was clear about that concern, he decided one morning to clean my filter without notice so he proceeded to ring my doorbell, bang on my door and ring the doorbell again to wake me up and "get permission" after waking me up. *Once cleaned my filter and charged full price after I replied to the notification email declining the service. On July 9 of 2026 Salten pools entered my home without confirming my dog was secured. When they saw that she was outside, they shut the pool gate, preventing her from accessing her water or her shade, and failed to re-open it upon their leaving. The temperature that day was 112, She was found over three hours later barely alive. After spending more than $1200 in emergency veterinarian bills, we were forced to end her suffering as she was bleeding out internally. Very horrific end to my elderly dogs life. Salten pools has taken zero accountability. Their technicians mistake cost my family dog her life. My family is distraught, we are left to deal with her death and her medical bills without so much as an apology. I guess I Was hoping a small business like this still had some sense of humanity, but sadly that is not the case. The concerns fell on deaf ears. Pool never got backwashed in months of service, even after requesting this multiple times. Skimmer basket debris dumped on pool equipment rather than trash. Main drain basket never dumped. Pool not brushed. Leaves left in bottom of pool. Pool guys were just lazy and corners cut. Think twice before using this company for your pool.
