Beyond the Brush painted our home exterior. They were quick and left the area clean every day. The price was very reasonable.

Where to start.. I will say they do good work. However, once the work is done, good luck getting Sal to respond to phone calls, Emails or Voice Mail. He flat out does not respond. Our house was painted about a year ago and we opted for the upgraded paint with 9 year warranty. only thing the warranty didn't cover was Hail or Fading. It does cover Peeling, and that is what we are having issues with. Sal has been out (I believe) twice already to attempt to fix and the paint literally starts to peel within 2 days. Emailed Sal July 14 and still waiting for a return email. Its now Aug 2. I really hate to leave a negative review but I also expect a company to honor their warranty. Sal, I gave you several chances to get this fixed. read more

What a great experience! The house had been painted by the previous owners in a chocolate brown - which we didn't care much for. We watched how carefully Sal and his crew painted a neighbor's home (covered everything nearby, took extra care to paint everything twice, attention to detail), so I stopped and got their number. Sal came out and gave me an estimate (including some trim repair) which was very reasonable, and got started painting once I got HOA approval for the colors. He also has a very good eye for details and had his guys touch up areas I hadn't even noticed. They moved furniture for me, took blinds, drapes, and pictures down and rehung them properly when they were done, and started and finished the job when Sal said they would. I contacted Beyond the Brush Painting for a quote a few weeks ago. Sal promptly answered the request and gave a solid quote for painting the whole condo (2 bedrooms, bathroom, raised ceiling living area with a loft, and kitchen (including the cabinets). When I asked about the process of painting the kitchen cabinets Sal said that they were going to clean the cabinets, remove the doors, caulk the area where the panel meets the frame and then put two coats of paint. I accepted their quote after looking at their website and liking what I saw and heard from Sal. They started the next day which was Thursday which was great since the other paint companies had said they could start in a couple weeks. I stayed out of their way for the most part expecting that they knew their job better than I did. On day 3 ( Saturday), I walked in and the "painter" said they had completed the baseboards and the 2 bedrooms (and the closets). They did a good job on the baseboards and after that is when I found out that I was wrong in more ways than I thought. I noticed right away that they were taping around all the outlet, switch and other plates that cover openings in the wall. I asked the "painter" who was there to remove all the plates and paint behind them. When I realized he did not understand what I was saying because he did not speak much English I called Sal and left a voicemail (which he did not reply to. The first of many). On Sunday, I went back to look at the progress. The painter that day did not speak any English so I let him be. He was painting the bathroom. The bifold doors were propped up along the walls after having been painted. On Monday,I received a call from Sal stating that they were done. When I went to the condo, I removed a few plates to see if my request to remove all of them was satisfied. Nope! Not a one (except for the one I showed that painter the previous day. That one had been done but had been put back on before the paint dried and was sticking to the wall). Sal called again later that day to see when I could meet to go over the job, fix any of my issues and pay for the work. We agreed to meet the next day. Sal did not show up but the painter he sent was very accommodating and did all the things I showed him directly. These included putting another coat on the bifold doors where the paint was thin and the original stain was showing through (they should have seen this), places that were not painted at all, painting behind all the plates, painting the wall where I had removed the shower curtain rod and a few other things that should have been done but wasn't. He did not complete any of the extra things I mentioned to him to check that were related to those items. For example, I mentioned that the cabinet doors and drawers had spots that were missed. I showed him a few and asked him to check all the other doors and drawers. Nothing extra was done on these items. In fact we've found more places that were missed and will have to take care of those ourselves since they don't seem interested in taking care of it. I've called the office twice now (a week apart) to ask for the warranty and guarantee information that the website said to call and ask for. Nothing! They have my money and the follow-up service is non-existent. I know this review rambled and is probably a little long but I just wanted to make sure everyone knows about this company. Would I recommend this company? NOT A CHANCE! read more

Another shout out for Sal and his team! We had the exterior of our house painted just this past week and the two man crew that came out did an amazing job. Sal was responsive to my questions (I found texting was the easiest with him) and very helpful when it came to choosing our primary color. The crew that did the work was very efficient and respectful of my property. We also needed a dozen trim boards replaced around some of our windows and they were able to match the right thickness and look of the existing boards that didn't need to get fixed.
