Where do I start!!!! I have been going to Capri for over 6 months now and my hair is the healthiest and prettiest it has even been. My first visit was for full highlights and extensions. I return about every 8 weeks for extension upkeep, conditioning treatment and glaze, sometimes I need a trim. I found Capri on Instagram while looking for a stylist with curly hair experience and I'm so happy I did! My curls have never looked better. It's not quite a deva or rizo cut, but her own technique based on her understanding of curly hair, so if don't be dissuaded if you're looking for someone "deva certified." Her technique is just as good (better actually, I've only ever had ok results with deva cuts). Her curly cuts start with a dry cut using the pattern of your curls and then some finishing snips to clean everything up after a shampoo and it looks great every time. You know how you have to wash and style your hair after a cut because no one can style your curls quite as well as you can? Not with Capri, I can walk out of her salon feeling good! And I can always count on her advice when I come in with pictures and ideas. And of course she's the sweetest ever, so it's always fun to spend time with her. She is an expert colorist whether you want to go blond, brunette, or red. She has deep knowledge of the best practices to maintain hair health. I have loved every Capri haircut in the last nine years. I have started looking like a different person because my hair looks so fantabulous. My family is spread out in different geographical locations. They always ask for pictures after "my famous Capri haircut". Added to that she is very kind, warm, welcoming, has a great temperament, knows the latest hair trends, and knows exactly what will work for a client. However she's not pushy at all, she patiently listens to what clients want and makes sure they are very happy before they leave her salon. She never tries to cross-sell or upsell. Almost 4 1/2 years ago, after moving to the Bay Area, I called into a spa I knew of to book a cut and color. Not knowing anyone here yet the front desk just booked me with a hairstylist who was available during the time I was able to get in. I thought I had the right hair color and did not realize what a difference even a small adjustment can make to how your skin ends up looking. I came originally for just the color change but Capri told me that I needed a hair cut even more. However it was hard to agree at first because I thought my previous hairdresser was the only person who could cut it so that it was curly. My hair is fine and thick and unless it's thinned it just hangs there with no curls. I was convinced that only texturizing it a lot could do this. Capri explained how texturizing harms hair and promised she would cut it so that it would be curly. And - she did. She also showed me how to curl it when it is wet . Unfortunately, thus far I have not been able to replicate her technique exactly but at least it IS curly when I use tons of product. It is going to take a few more tries till I figure out how to manage it. Since I work at home - it does not matter how messy it looks and I really do love it. It's a great shape and flattering and I'm very pleased. The changes in the color / tone looked a lot better and she said it's a "work in progress" as I had alot to correct! That means it may blend even better with my skin in the future . Truth is -it's close to perfect even now and in fact, this is the best color I have ever had actually. I'm sorry I don't have good photos to show but you can be sure that I will post some in the future - which there will be - because she's my new forever hairdresser.
