I was tired of solid nail colors or the fade. I saw the wonderful reviews for Judy Nails & Beauty Salon, and I couldn't believe they were located at Stadium Mall, close to where I live. I was greeted warmly by Cindy, one of the nail techs. She listened to what I was looking for and even made some creative suggestions. Let's just say that I found a new nail salon and a wonderful nail tech! The salon is clean, friendly vibe, and the techs are experienced and current with all the nail trends :)

She is a hardworking teenager who balances both school full-time and a part-time job, and she pays for her own nail services. This time her friend gifted her some money to pay. He scheduled an appointment for her in preparation for a performance at her H.S. Last year, she had an excellent experience at your salon, where a male technician took the time to carefully recreate the design she requested based on a reference photo. The results were exactly what she envisioned, including detailed work and added embellishments. Then she went back again a few months later and he did great again. Unfortunately, her experience this time was very different. Upon arrival, there appeared to be confusion regarding her appointment, and the staff asked her friend to provide proof of the booking. While I understand that my daughter and her friend are young, I would expect the same level of professionalism and respect given to all clients. My daughter clearly communicated her desired design and showed a reference photo. The technician assured her that the design could be completed; however, the service felt rushed, and my daughter felt that her requests were not fully considered. It also appeared that the technician may have been double-booked, which may have contributed to the lack of attention to detail. Although my daughter & friend were willing to pay approximately $200 from their hard-earned part-time job savings for quality service, she ultimately paid $190 for a result that did NOT meet her expectations. She left feeling disappointed and upset. If a technician agrees to complete a design as shown, the service should be delivered accordingly. Using terms of endearment "while rushing through the work instead of providing the agreed-upon quality is different. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to ensure a more consistent and attentive experience for all clients, especially young adolescents who are learning to invest in services of value with their own hard-earned money.

I built up the courage to ask her if she could shape a bit more and was met with sassy remarks and arguing. Not only is the shaping off, but it's not even the same color throughout the nails. I'm so unhappy with my visit. I should've just removed my initial set and waited for my regular nail tech to come back from maternity leave. I'm not one to argue and get things for free, but I wish I did. I spent $60 to waste my time and money.

Even though I stayed consistent with my touch-ups and followed all aftercare instructions, my brows would fade so quickly and always turned into this unflattering red undertone. On top of that, my right brow was consistently lighter than my left, and despite bringing it up multiple times, I never received a clear explanation or solution. It was honestly so frustrating. From the moment I sat in Kamryn's chair, I could tell I was in the right hands. She took her time mapping out my brows and walked me through everything--from why my previous work was fading red to the differences in pigments and ink types. That level of education and transparency meant so much to me. You can tell she truly understands her craft and cares about doing things the right way. Her precision is unmatched. She works so intentionally and detail-oriented, yet still manages her time so well--I was able to get to my next appointment right after (my lashes lol), which I really appreciated. On top of that, she is SO light-handed. I was incredibly comfortable the entire time... honestly, I could've fallen asleep if we didn't end up having such a great conversation! We did combo brows, and I am absolutely in love with the results. The color is perfect, the red undertone is completely gone, and my brows are finally even. I chose here because it was super close and I'd walk over after work and then walk back. I opted for the deluxe pedicure which included a 20-minute massage with hot stones - it was wonderful. I also had acrylic nails that I wanted to cut down, change the shape, and fill so I added that service. The tech helped me find a natural color that would blend with what I already had and then started working. There were a couple of times where the dremel caught my nail and it got super hot and made me jump, and the tech would sigh like she was frustrated. At first I found it disheartening because it definitely wasn't my fault, but then I just decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she's trying to calm her nerves before starting again. She then asked me if I wanted to do my eyebrows. Admittedly, I haven't touched them in about a year and without even looking at them I was sure that they could use a good clean up. I made sure to tell her that I was only interested in cleaning up the edges and not changing the shape, she acknowledged, I said, told me, she understood and took me to a room with a table. She cleaned up my eyebrows nicely and didn't change the shape which I've heard horror stories of, so I was very happy. Overall, I'm very happy with the service. There are a couple of flaws that I can see in the acrylic like the base area isn't perfectly shaped on one of the nails, but for the price and for the convenience of just walking there within five minutes, and for the overall friendliness of the staff, I feel like it was worth it. Their unit isn't too spacious but rather cozy. There are other hair stylists and I believe they're all independent. Pearl is such a sweet, friendly, and professional lady. I needed a touch up and she was able to match my hair color close to the previous one. I also liked her style of cutting and she was thorough to make sure it was cut perfectly. I called their main number and she return my call through text. She was able to schedule me within few days later which I was grateful. She also validated my parking ticket so I only had to pay a couple of dollars on the way out. She also does weddings if you're shopping around for that.
