After the many years, I have been bringing wives, girlfriends, models, and myself here to spend thousands of dollars, not counting tips, I am calling it quits for good. Why: Because they ripped me off! I am so upset that I even removed the dozens of photos I had posted to this review over the years. I have noticed that the past several manicures have been getting more expensive. But, I still tipped the manicurist $50 each time. Unfortunately, the last time I went to see Stephanie, I received a notice from my bank that Nail Tek had charged me a whopping $140 for a spa pedi and a fill! I immediately returned to the salon, and the moment that I walked through the door, Stephanie and two other techs began inundating me from all sides, trying to justify why I was charged so much even before I had a chance to open my mouth and tell them why I had come back! The ladies first told me that it was $140 because I had a $50 spa pedicure. Okay, fine. That doesn't explain the $90 for a fill and clear gel paint. Let that sink in... $90 for a fill and clear gel repaint! I didn't demand my $50 tip back from Stephanie. She knew that she had gotten caught ripping me off because when I initially offered her the $50 tip, she backed away sheepishly as if she knew she had done wrong like a little kid does when you catch them sticking their finger into the cake frosting. The bottom line: they do good work at Nail Tek. However, watch what they charge you closely because they will rip you off every chance they get. Neither the owner nor the manager has attempted to contact me and make amends, which shows that they are all in it together. BEWARE! read more

I recently moved away from home, but as soon as I got off the plane I went straight here. My mother, aunty, and myself came the other night. I called the day before while I was still in Georgia to make the appointment. Everytime we come they always greet us and I love that they remember us. I always feel welcomed and accommodated. I always request chrome gel polish for my toes and I'm never disappointed. I always see Trina but no matter who's there everyone says hi to us and we chat for a bit. I don't like going anywhere else. I decided to have my daughter join me today to get a pedicure. Her very first pedicure. She is 3 years old but wears a size 5 for her age, she's small. We ended up here because they took us right away. I got my usual gel pedicure with previous polish gel removal/deluxe pedicure. Last time I came here it was $62 for me. Anyways, price list doesn't show much not even kids prices!!! The lady massaged her for a little while and color and that's about it. Me thinking hers will be between $20-30, after receiving our charge, for both of us it came out to $118!! I've been coming here for years. I'm usually very satisfied. Today I got a SuperPedicure $54.00 with the wax. I treated my daughter to one also. Stephanie ( whom I have not seen before) wasn't friendly but was doing a good job on my toes. Until she brought out the wax it was too hot on corner of bag. I was shocked it was that hot. I didn't say anything until she tells me you have a blister on your toe. I said I didn't come in with one. It was from the hot wax. Stephanie said nope! She tried to find an imaginary blister on my other toe. I would not have gotten a super pedicure if my toe had a blister. And it didn't hurt when she scrubbed and massaged my toe with the scrubs because it was burnt afterwards with the wax. I expected her to say oh I'm sorry. . And be the end of it. But she was dramatic and loud in her language. I said not a big deal but you could have said sorry. She said No. And kept talking about my toe in Vietnamese . I have to say the other ladies were nice . And one put some Vaseline on my toe. I don't think after years of coming here I will return. My toe will be fine. A one star review is too generous. I usually go here to get my acrylic nails removed, but I will not be going back! Today was the worst experience I have ever had! The nail tech was very aggressive and physically caused pain from the way she shook and twisted my arms while giving vague instructions such as "relax" and "don't touch me". She squeezed and twisted my fingers and my nails felt and looked terrible when she was done. I did my best to be friendly and apply the directions she gave, but how am I not supposed to touch her while she is holding my hand/fingers?! Maybe they have changed their services since I have been here last but I used to get my nails buffed and had a top coat applied as part of the removal service (which has also gone up in price!) but that was not offered or included in today's experience. This review is long overdue because I have been coming here to get my nails done for a little over a year now. There are modifications to the nail salon since they re-opened. All the stations have a plexiglass that separates you and the nail technician. Wendy sits at the very first station when you walk in and I usually take the first appointment in the morning at 9:00 a.m. and I'm out by 10:00 a.m. The pedicure stations have a plexiglass that separates the customers from each other. You can't wait in the salon, they make you sign in and social distance outside 6 feet apart. Everyone in the salon is wearing a mask, nail technicians as well as the customers. The salon always appears very neat and clean when I've been there. The only person that I will see here is Wendy because she did such a great job the very first time that I saw her. I usually get a manicure every two to three months, that's if none of my nails break. This last time, I got my nails done two weeks apart because one of them broke and I wasn't thrilled with the color that I chose. Wendy does a great job at keeping my cuticles nice and clean. This time around she fixed my short nail by adding an acrylic nail on so that it was the same length as my natural nails. I get a gel manicure with fading and glitter over it. It comes out perfect every time so I don't get anything else. I don't have to get a manicure so often because you can't really see when my nails grow out because its clear midway all the way to the cuticles. I've read in some of the reviews that people have an issue with the workers here speaking Vietnamese and think its "unprofessional" but its not a deal breaker for me and really this is America. I've lived on the mainland for 18 years, it was like this in California too. Since I've been going to see Wendy for about a year, she'll translate and tell me what their talking about. This last time I went to get my nails done, Wendy was taking to one of the nail technicians for a long time in Vietnamese. After her conversation, she was telling me what happened. I ended up talking to the other nail technician the whole time as she was telling me how her husband's car got stolen. The other nail technicians that I've talked to where all very nice and a lot of them try to speak English, one of them even tried to offer my mother and I cookies. I firmly believe in "you pay for what you get". I have yet to be disappointed to I'll keep coming back until such time. read more

No STARS!!! I have been bringing my daughter and myself for a few months, regularly. Nothing new nothing changed... I've always approved the length of my daughters nails and the shape, in the past they've sent her to me to make sure it was okay. Recent time I went they did not send her so I was assuming by now they knew what to do and didn't bother. Mean while I was getting my nails done.... The nail tech did not cater to my dry cuticles. When I asked her to she said it would be more! In my experience handling cuticles comes with full set/ manicure !! Not charge more!! So when I'm done they charged an extra $10... said it was to remove my old nails... that we're old and not in good shape! Doing a full over that would have been terrible ! The nail tech did not tell me I would be charged more for removal. So my daughter and I walk out she tells she asked the tech repeat times to make her nails shorter and they tech (who was watching her phone while doing her nails) kept saying ok, ok. But she did not make it shorter. She let her leave with way longer nails than I would ever approve & they were done terrible ! We went back and I kindly asked to have it shaved down and walked into foodland for 5 min and came back. There were 4 techs surrounding her and talking their language .. that is so rude it made her feel so uncomfortable (she's 8)... then the tech proceeded to tell me .. Will never be returning here. The wait is extremely long because majority of the nail technicians aren't able to do acrylic nails. I'm not too sure why they couldn't just have someone do my pedicure first? I was seated, just to be told by the technician that I'd have to wait because she doesn't do fake nails, so instead they made me wait for ANOTHER technician who ALSO didn't do acrylics. I waited one hour to finally get a pedicure. When my pedicure was done I moved over to get my nails done and it was horrendous. I have cuts on my fingers, they're terribly shaped, I can see that the acrylic was not laid evenly, and the paint job is just ridiculous. The technician was so rough on my hands. They barely took any covid precautions, which made me feel uncomfortable. They barely wiped down anything in between customers as well. (As far as the pedicure stations, they didn't spray or wipe them down, they just had the next customers hop in the chairs) I also wasn't given a price chart with the choices of treatment options. The prices aren't listed up on any wall. The lady was also pretty rough and rushed through once I told her she was being rough. She didn't like me telling her she was hurting me, then proceeded to laugh with the woman next to her. They had an attitude about doing natural nails (with multiple customers of color who wanted to keep their natural nails) and kept suggesting acrylics. I didn't like that so much. I have been visiting this nail salon for well over 10 years because I live nearby and the nail techs generally do a good job. Most of the ladies are nice and professional. Stephanie, however, is not. She has done my nails several times in the past and has always struck me as cold and demanding about where to place my hand and feet and how to angle my fingers or hands to make things easier for her. Today she told me to "relax" my legs while doing my pedi. Next thing I know, I'm too relaxed and she is aggressively pushing my legs upright to be straight and rigid. I am used to having to hold my legs up so she can scrub my feet, which isn't comfortable and isn't something the other techs do. However, I felt compelled to write a review because today she was particularly rude. She kept angling my arm and hand, at times telling me to relax and other times demanding that I spread my fingers apart for her (the opposite of relaxed). She said I was making things difficult for her by watching what she is doing. It's not like I have anything else to do since she sits by the door, farthest from the TV. I finally told her to do what she needs to do to paint my nails. Honestly, I don't pay $100+ for this kind of abrasive, rude behavior. She also drenched my hands in oil and barely massaged my hands. The other ladies are great, but Stephanie is a poor representation of you. From now on, I will wait for another person if she is the only one available. UPDATE: Just a week later and one of nails fell off. I called to ask if they were able to fix my nail (since it's only been a week... nails should be able to endure basic everyday things) and they lady rudely accused me of lying and said I broke it. So from now on I will gladly continue going to Perfection nails (for better customer service, cheaper prices, and quality nails). I do NOT recommend this salon to anyone. One star is too generous for this location. I came in here desperately wanting to do a full set and I was not willingly to drive to go to my normal nail salon. I knew what I wanted and explained to my tech, however she had a hard time understanding me. I kept asking her to fix the shaping of my nails and they kept getting worse. My nails are not the length I requested nor are they evenly shaped. I knew she was trying very had to meet my desires, but I think I will stick to going elsewhere. I also called before coming to get their prices and I was told it would be $45 for a full set with gel polish (2 different colors) and shaping. However, I ended up paying $55 and when I questioned my tech she said something I did not understand and told me to have a good day. My 14 year old had her own money so she wanted to do her nails, but she didn't want to spend too much. Big mistake. Lesson learned. The saying "you get what you pay for" is so true. Yes this place is cheaper then the rest, but when one of your nails falls off 2 days later , you realize why. Yes, they did fix it for her no charge, but the technician asked her "what did you do? Well, we called to move the appointment and also made the request to have Lynn as our tech. We got there and checked in, told the lady at the front we had an appointment with Lynn and signed in... Uh..Lynn was working on another lady's feet, the appointment book was open to a date in June so therefore our appt wasn't "on the books" and the girl that ended up taking us didn't look to see we wrote down Lynn's name as our tech. This being said, she did a good job on both our brows and it was quick and efficient. The price was fine, only $10 + tax! They're not friendly, and not interested in the health of your nails, just your money. I went to them for months for an acrylic overlay of my natural nails. I noticed something odd going on with my nails, but thought it was a bruise with discoloration. When I asked the nail tech what it was she just smiled and said it's ok. The tech proceeded to put acrylic over the apparent fungus. I had to go to another salon to get the truth and assistance. 7 out of 10 nails had fungus. This place has given me a nail fungus more then once. I have complained to them and tell them that they are not doing the right thing and providing the proper service because we are getting infected.So some of the equipment is sterilized and some of them are not. If eyes could kill. When they removed the nail polish on my feet this time I noticed another spot of fungus that they created from the last visit. I did not even bring it up I was already embarrassed and didn't want to make a scene. I told the gentleman who was very nice to me. I was going to inform the admin of the shopping center and make a complaint bcuz this isn't the first time this woman has treated me this way. I always pray I dont get her. So I called while seated and left my name and number with the answering service. When we were done with my appt which took for ever. The poor guy was nervous and worried I was going to turn him in he couldn't do his job. I could tell cuz I've seen his work b4. I told him please try to relax and I will try to do the same and apologized to him for being put in this situation. He said he was scared and nervous and I told him so was I. So we both laughed a kinda nervous laugh. Again after the appointment I told him I was sorry and I understand he couldn't do his job properly because he was nervous. I told him not to worry you did the best that you could. But I also told him to let the other girl know that I will be making a complaint and that complaint would not be involving him he did the best that he could.
