For one mani/pedi the end result was average but resulted in quick chipping - even for my toes which are typically easy to maintain. My last visit was more awkward with me being greeted and asked to not sign in, but to maybe come back later. The option to wait wasn't offered and the suggested return time was a guess, not a confirmation of a time. After leaving I remembered that I'd seen this happened to others while I was in the chair getting my nails done. It has discouraged me from recommending this salon because I wouldn't want people to have the same experience. I'm updating my review while sitting at another salon. Will likely not return to Jeannie's.

It's close to work, it's totally affordable, its clean, and the staff is friendly! There were two technicians working, one lady was older than the other and I'm pretty sure she was the owner. My mom got her, and I got the other lady (sorry, I don't know her name ). My lady didn't talk much, which I like. I've always hated going to nail salons and making small talk. My technician was very thorough and clean. She paid very close attention to details. Compared to my last nail experience these were impeccable. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo before they started growing out. But I've had them for over a week now, and the only chip I have is from where my already torn nail when I received the service ripped all the way off. I knew this would happen. I got a pedicure, and a gel manicure and it was $55 in total, which I think was pretty reasonable. Especially because of all the amenities that came with the manicure. THE BAD - The bad really isn't even that bad, but I'm sort of a germaphobe. One part of the manicure I didn't like was the paraffin wax dip. It was cool because I have never had one at a nail place before, but it's also very unsanitary. It know I could have opt'd out (and I should have for time reasons) but I didn't think about it until after my first dip lol. OVERALL - I think I have found my new nail place, but I won't be doing the paraffin wax.

Yes, the chairs are comfortable, but old. There are seven spa chairs. I didn't scan all chairs, but I noticed one had several rips in the seat. I opted for the $35 spa pedicure - as a treat. I got the lemon scent and I could actually smell the scent, which was great. However, there wasn't much to the exfoliating grains. I thought the pedicure itself was OK. There was a couple of things the technician didn't do that I thought (after all these years) was part of the norm. But not her's. In the end my toe nails were cut and shaped nicely. The manicure was also OK. The cut and shaping was OK. I think more effort could have gone into making sure the length among all nails was equal and that they were well shaped. I opted for no polish and short nails - this is how I roll w/ my fingernails. I did request a buffed shine. And after two attempts to get a descent shine, the technician was finally able to find the proper tool. I appreciated her persistence to deliver. If you're looking for a place to truly relax and enjoy not just the services, but also the environment, I don't think this is it. I sat under the dryer for a bit after the color went on, then the nail technician circled back to add a top coat. Great service and worth the $10 charge for a bit of pampering! Large space for manicures and pedicures. They offer waxing and facials as well, and you can contact them to host larger gatherings. Find them on N Hurstbourne near Talbots and Paul Mitchell's School.
