In 2021 a nail salon off of Preston drilled a hole through my nail. I never thought I would go to a nail salon again. Then I walked through these doors! Lena and Victoria have always given me such great service, made my nails look amazing every time, reassured me when I feel a certain way, give me AMAZING conversation when I need it most. I mean if you need a nail salon, this is the one to go to! AMAZING DESIGNS (there are more trust me, this is just the one I got today!) Show them a picture and just let them use their creativity! Excellent service! Tee was very good at taking great care with my pedicure, and when I had to leave suddenly, they were very understanding. I came back an hour later, and we picked right back up where we left off. I highly recommend this little shop. I normally don't get to this side of town, but I decided to try this based on reviews. The place is new and classy and had a chic vibe. The pedicure chairs were behind a wall so people waiting didn't stare at you. Everything was clean. Everyone is super friendly. There were regulars there that the staff clearly knows. I made an appointment. They showed me right to the chair for my pedicure. Great care was taken in performing the pedicure. My tech rubbed my legs a little too hard, but it was my fault for the uncomfortable massage because I didn't say anything to him. I had no preference for color and made the tech choose. He did a great job--it was a fun color and went well with my skin tone. The polish lasted a good 3 weeks. It was expensive, but totally worth it. I don't know how often I will return because I live a good 30 miles away, but I'd go regularly if I lived nearby. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews but this was necessary. I got a deluxe Pedi. More expensive of course and the "deluxe" consisted of a salt rub, etc. Save your money, the cheap scrub is in a little container and very little goes on and there is NO massage to the feet or legs for 65.00. They charge for the Pedi and outrageously enough 20.00 more for cheap gel polish. The nails were very poorly shaped and the polish was horrible, bubbled, looked like marshmallow. Awful. Sadly I won't be back. I was there before and got a massage and nail shaping, etc for the exact same price. The girl was sweet but I could have done better myself and saved 70.00! Pedicures are supposed to be a treat, instead I'm irritated that I went there, as I had a bad mani once before, and disappointed that my toes look awful. read more

I've been coming here for a year. The staff is incredibly professional and the best salon I've ever been to. I work with my hands, and I've never had a nail break since I started coming here. I always get a done of compliments on my nails. They do take appointments and walk-ins, and I've done both. Even as a walk-in, I go in the morning around when they first open and I've never had to wait a long time. I will say if I get an appointment then I've never had to wait. The salon is clean, and the selection of polish is mesmerizing. I have trouble picking colors because there's so many amazing ones! read more

I've been here a few times before while visiting my family in Ky. The quality was always good and professional. Today, I went in to get fill in and polish change on toes. I was terribly disappointed on how bad my nails looked afterward. Victoria, who did my nails, was rushing and filed them too short and skipped several steps to hurry and get it done. I couldn't believe how bad my nails looked when finished. I paid the 69.00 and immediately went to Pearl's Salon to have them fixed. I hate to give a bad review, but I would not recommend this salon if you are taking off your dipped nails. I took my teen daughter to get her dipped nails taken off and a manicure, and the lady did a horrible job and didn't remove all of the dipped polish, which left my daughter's nails looking very lumpy and uneven. The lady complained the entire time because she had a hard time taking the dip off and my daughter felt very uncomfortable. The polish and overall presentation of her nails was just a really bad job. The lady even left her thumb print in the wet polish and didn't bother fixing it. I didn't know any of this until we got into the car and my daughter refused to go back inside because she just didn't feel comfortable and the lady was very rough with her nails. read more

Made an appointment today with Meka at Bombshell Nails on Bardstown Rd. The whole experience was wonderful. Meka is a true professional and my nails look the best they have in years! She did a full set with dip powder and a gel pedicure. The choice of colors for both dip and gel are way beyond other nail salons and I never felt rushed. Worst dip nails I have ever gotten. The place was FILTHY. Got there at 9 am and there were remains of nails clippings on the floor, full trash cans, nail polish bottles lying around without the tops screwed on. Another employee came in and was complaining that none of the pedicure bowls were clean, which does not shock me. Aside from the filth, even the look of my nails is awful. The nail tech was in such a hurry she cut me multiple times and messed up my nails in numerous places. On an upside, they do have a generous selection of dip colors. I have gotten my brows waxed here a few times before and they did okay, even though I noticed it was empty and kinda dirty. But today, I went in and had the worst wax experience I've ever had. First of all, I called the day before and made an appt. for 9:30am the next day. I showed up and waited 20 minutes and the doors were locked & no one was there. So I ended up coming back later in the afternoon. I should have taken that as a sign to STAY AWAY. The lady stood up from doing another lady's nails and immediately came over and started touching my face. I should have said something, but I didn't. Then she like haphazardly slung wax on, without really planning ahead. Normally people do under, top, middle, on both eyes. She did all these little sections all over the place, and then said, "Ok, you're done!" I said, "You don't need to tweeze any spots?" She said, "No." I said, "Ok, do you have a mirror?" She pointed me over to a mirror on the wall over by the pedicure chairs. I go over to look, and the first thing I noticed was a chunk of wax still on. I asked her about the aloe stuff they normally use to take any leftover wax off. She said, "Oh yeah, come back over here." Once I got out to my car, I was in tears. One of my eyebrows is WAY shorter and thinner than the other. There are still stray hairs in several spots. It looks awful. I went back in and talked to the manager and she did credit my money back, which I appreciate, but still... 2 days before Easter and no telling how long it will take (if ever ) for my eyebrows to grow back. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I just moved to Lousville and this was close to where I was staying and I thought I would try it out and I wish I would have seen reviews before going. Literally I think a kindergartner could have done a better job on my nails.... painting of nails and toes is horrible, when getting my manicure and pedicure my lady hurt me multiple times (literally almost clipped off my finger when clipping my nails), and when filing she was attempting to fold my nails she was filing my fingers!!!! I am in shock how awful my experience was WILL NEVER go back. My lady was sweet so I hate to be so crude, but it was horrible experience over all. First time going to this salon. Upon arrival, the staff was welcoming and kind. But then as I chose my nail color, I felt that my manicurist was trying to convince me not to get the color I had just picked out. They kept asking, "Are you sure? What about this color?" and kept giving me different options. To me, this was very strange but I stuck with my original color. The actual work was quality and my nails did come out good. Only downside was that I did get cut when they were filling the inside of one of my nails, which no one is perfect and these sort of things happen. But the issue comes as I'm checking out. They give you an itemized receipt and I got charged all sorts of things! $5 for per broken nail that they needed to replace, which is the most expensive I've ever heard of it being. Then $3 to actually file down my nails, which I have NEVER heard of, as most people with acrylics need them cut down almost every time. Lastly, they charge a "card fee". On the desk, it says they charge for using credit cards, not all cards. I would think that they would mention to people this meant any card, not just credit cards. They also never once mentioned anything about me being cut (it drew blood). No apologizing and doing the right thing in customer service and offering $5 off now or next time, nothing. Again, work was quality but not worth $55! I do have grace during this time and understand that this pandemic has taken a hit to business and increased supplies in a lot of industries, I feel that these were a bit extreme. read more

Very nice Salon. I was greeted with a smile and a complimentary juice beverage. I got the jelly pedicure which is to help get off the dead skin and is supposed to help your pedicure last longer. This was supposed to be an upgrade I thought from the Delux one I had chosen. The lady did a very nice/good job in trimming filing etc. They have a TON of colors to choose from but I brought my own. I had a coupon that I brought that I had printed off the website. I don't think it was applied to the price but I'm not sure. I ended up tipping so it would have probably been the same amount. I like that they use pre-made packets of gloves, files, and the buffers for the bottom of your feet. I also like that their basins are lined with a disposable liner. Hopefully this helps with keeping things Sanitary. This was a very nice experience. If the massage part of the pedicure had lasted longer I would have given 5 stars rating. I'm always disappointed in that part of pedicures as that part is rushed through and not really much pressure applied. However I'm sure that those who do this for a living have their hands and arms hurting so maybe that's why. Part of the massage was with a machine of some sort which was ok but again hardly 60 seconds if that to each leg and foot. I'm sure that machine is hard on the Technician. I will most likely return to this salon as it was an over all good experience. (Would have liked for the bathroom facility to have been cleaner, wasn't their fault as they were unaware of how a previous customer left the bathroom) read more

Wait time was awful. Kept asking how much longer and I kept being told I was next. Almost 2 hours later... I finally left.

When I called to find out price of a mani/pedi combo and she told me $55 then gel would be $15 more. So after I got to the pedicure chair, she talked me into the upgraded jelly pedi which was 14$ more. No big deal because it did feel good and was sanitary. I too got the complimentary juice (wasn't told what it was when she gave to me so I was skeptical on drinking it). Massage was good and plenty long. Issue I have is that when the girl was cutting my toenails, she called the older lady over (in her language) to let me know I had issues with my big toenails going too far down the sides of my toes. She said "regular nail techs don't tell you that is an issue because they don't care"! So I ended up with some over the counter liquid for my 2 toes after she trimmed way down the sides (said that part of nail was dead), to help them grow back up to the top like other toes and said to apply in morning and night! Then on my manicure, the older lady filed and talked me into what she called "organic gel.... healthier for your nails" with the gel polish. What she didn't explain was that ended up being gel under the gel polish, so now nails are really thick which looks like acrylic nails do when done. My nails were already healthy and strong. When all gel was cured (each hand was under lamp about 10 times total!), she called for younger girl to do the massaging. She rubbed lotion on and massaged for about a minute then said "okay you're done"! I get to counter to pay and I'm expecting to pay around $100 with all my upgrades............... NOPE, total was $135!!!!! THAT'S RIDICULOUS. I did not get my money's worth for that amount. read more

The WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I booked my appointment in advance and when I walked in I was not greeted or even acknowledged for 10 to 15 minutes. Once I picked out my dip color one of the lady's proceeded to sloppily soak of my nails and spilled the remover on my pants at least twice because she was in such a hurry. The lady who actually did my dip was nice but could not have done a worse job... my nails looked so thick and lumpy. She would have 100% let me walk out of there with them looking like that if I had not said anything. She did semi fix them to where they at least look a little decent, but I will NEVER go back there and I don't recommend anyone else to either. read more
