I ended up getting the chicken shawarma over rice and asked for extra white sauce. I got this order to go and when I got home, I already knew it wasn't good from the looks of it. The rice wasn't good. It was wet and tasted off. The chicken was completely dry and didn't have much flavor even though it looks like it does. I asked for extra white sauce and they only gave a small container of it on the side. This meal was a disappointment especially since it cost $14.xx. The guy at the counter was not friendly or personable I asked for white garlic sauce on my falafel pitas- didn't happen. I also asked for extra white sauce for my pitas- and although they usually provide them without question- this guy at the front tried to charge me a dollar for each small container. Good food! It's not mind-blowing but it's GOOD. The staff is so lovely, and they often offer free samples of different teas and juices. The ambience is nice. Decoration is theme "train station" and done well. Clean and well lit. Open except for the kitchen which is behind glass. I asked if they have a lamb and rice combo, a grease truck staple. They said they had a beef and rice combo. Ordered it for take home. Came out to be $12! Shocked but I should really have looked. It came with a pita, white sauce and hot sauce on the side. Hot sauce is really hot. The beef was good. Not dry or over cooked. It was not over basmati rice, so it was a heavy starch, Spanish rice. It didn't seem to go well or at least what I was expecting it to be. Definitely different from the halal trucks. A cleaner and posher version. We will give them a try again. Did some Christmas shopping in the JSQ area today when I came across this restaurant, the first thing I noticed were the patrons eating and how delicious the food looked (window seating). I decided to give it a try, and I'm really glad I did! The place was spotless, brand new and clean! I asked the cashier for the best vegan options and she recommended the falafel platter. Long story short, the food was absolutely delicious, fresh and satisfying. I will be back! The customer service was great and accommodating, one of the cashiers even recognized me from another falafel place that I frequent in the past. I've ordered from here several times as it is close to my job. My experiences have only been with take out as I have never dined in. One upside is that the portions are generous. However, the food is horrible. I got the falafel sandwich and it's gross. It does not taste authentic at all and they put beans in the sandwich which I've never seen. It looks like a Sloppy Joe. Also, it comes in this huge sub roll in which all of the bread overpowers the flavor of the sandwich. The fries are not fresh and are frozen fries which you could totally tell. Falafel Station is one of my favorite new restaurant in Jersey City. I have been getting takeout here once a week for the past couple of months and have never been disappointed with my dinner. The space is fast casual with a few tables to eat at (pre-covid). Décor is cheerful and I like that you can see into the kitchen behind the counter. The staff are fantastic, you really get the feeling they care about your meal. The menu has a few bases (falafel, shawarma, ect) that you have prepared several different ways: in a pita, as a platter, on a hero, on top of fries. I always order the egg falafel in either a pita or as street fries. The falafel is very moist and not heavily fried, and goes well with any style, but my favorite style is the street fries. I am embarrassed to admit I have been coming here for months before I ordered the Foul which is fava beans, onions, and peppers in a lemon olive oil broth and to die for. read more

FS is an awesome addition to JC dining landscape. Serving breakfast lunch and dinner in egyptian style cuisine. Their sandwiches and platters are mouthwatering experience great to try anytime.
