Decent spot for lunch. Their weekday lunch special (app, half main entree, and drink) is ~$17.50, which seems about average for a casual sit-down meal in the area. I ordered an individual adana lamb wrap and enjoyed it, but if you came hungry, you'd probably want a little bit more.

Came here for a Team Lunch and we all had a great time. Lunch Specials are the one to opt for since we get most of the Menu Options to choose from, and price is fair. We made a point of selecting different Appetizers and Entrées with each of our Lunch Specials, so I got to try variety of items, and they all tasted pretty good. Atmosphere was homey and the decor was kind of cute and pleasant. Service was pretty quick, considering the place was packed and our Table itself had 12 people. Staff were friendly and helpful, patiently answering all of our questions. Would definitely recommend.

I work near this place and I'm in my Mediterranean food typa phase lol so when I found out about this place from my friend I was like, "let me give them a try". This place ended up being my go to Mediterranean spot when I'm in the area. I always get the chicken shish kebab and let me tell you...the chicken was cooked PERFECTLY. It was moist and not dry and it was so flavorful! It was cooked fresh (as it always should!). I love the portioning. I don't eat much rice when I'm out to eat so I ask them to alter the order which they always do. The ambiance is good! It felt traditional and fit the Turkish vibe. For my Mediterranean food lovers, give this place a try and to all other people! You won't be disappointed

Best Food Ever! So fresh & amazing service. Definitely #1 recommendation for middle eastern pick in Jersey City area. I felt right at home. I love all the food options.

Delicious & wonderful service! I've ordered takeout and have dined in. Each time, everyone there was so nice. The food is delicious and fresh. If you're not into saucy foods, I recommend asking for the sauce on the side as something like the chicken iskender was quite saucy (I love sauce though, but the people I was with preferred less saucy pieces of chicken). I do wish the little beef dumplings had more seasoning with the meat, but I did really like the yogurt sauce they were served in.

Loved the place, for the ambience. The lights, art and decor. It was busy for Friday 7:30pm. I would recommend making reservations. Wish they had wide variety of veg options. They had a veg kebab which was totally not what I had imagined. So, the rating. Would recommend mixing falafels or veg kebabs to their dishes and not just grilled vegetables. It was dry without no sauces. So had to request for a white sauce on the side. Not sure if this is how you eat this dish, all dry and solid. Chicken iskander kebab was alright but it could have been presented in a better way. It was a lot of quantity but it just puts you off at first sight. The service was poor.

More like 3.5 stars. Stopped in for dinner. As an appetizer I had the babaganouj and it was good. They serve their bread warm which is nice. My entree was the lamb iskender kebab and it was tasty and a very large portion. The lamb chops however, weren't that great. They also didn't have any Turkish tea and the service was painfully slow. The the kunefe for dessert. A must. It was the best part of the meal.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and beautifully curated, with a lively energy that made the entire experience feel distinctly New York. The food was wonderful. The cheese board was an absolute standout, beautifully presented with a thoughtful selection of cheeses and accompaniments that balanced savory and sweet flavors perfectly. The Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences throughout the meal felt fresh, authentic, and elevated. The hummus, tahini, olives, Turkish specialties, and beautifully arranged spreads were all delicious and clearly prepared with care. What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, creating a relaxed atmosphere where we could simply enjoy the food and the company. NAR manages to combine beautiful design, wonderful food, and genuine hospitality in a way that feels sophisticated without being overly formal. It has that unmistakable New York energy--fashionable, vibrant, and memorable. A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Come for the atmosphere, stay for the incredible food, and absolutely do not miss the cheese board. NAR is a beautiful addition to New York's dining scene, and I'm already looking forward to returning.

I added to my list but didn't try it until this week and I was blown away! The restaurant is lovely and has a great vibe (although it is a little loud due to the low ceilings). Service was great reflecting exceptional Turkish hospitality. My friends and I started with small mezzes (all delicious) and zucchini blossoms, which I could have had as a standalone meal. I had the Turkish delight meat dish and that was super. My husband had the beyti and it was the best I've ever had. We all ate way too much and waddled out of there way too full. Prices are about what you'd expect in that part of town and it's worth every penny. I will definitely be back. I recommend that you go here too and am confident you'll find everything is cok guzel!

Really wish I took photos - therefore just like the great convos with the wonderful, extremely personable and educational counter gentlemen - will be coming back real soon with photos Review: Hudson Kebab House isn't just good--it's memorable. I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing.. We started with the Eggplant in Sauce (Shakshuka), which was full of tomato and garlic umami, and just a small bit of capsaicin to get the senses tingling. The Fresh Green Beans, a last-minute add-on, were the perfect healthy and refreshing veggie dish to satisfy on a boiling hot evening. From there, we gorged on perfectly cooked Iskender Kebab, but it was my Ali Nazik (roasted smoked eggplant puree with yoghurt and tender lamb meat, served with fresh bread) that stole the show. If you want meat and potatoes but with an exotic twist--well, this beats steak and mashed potatoes anyday. My only gripe was that they were out of both the Manti and the Aubergine Kebab--my first two picks--when we were there. But I decided to forgive them after my first bite of Ali Nazik. Sweet heaven on a pita... Oh, and portions were enough for at least two meals. Deliciousness AND value? Only outside Manhattan....

The decor inside feels homey, nostalgic, and thoughtful. They weren't busy at all on a Sunday around 1:30pm so we were seated right away. We started with 1pc Lahmacun which is often called Turkish pizza. It's minced beef, tomatoes, onions, and spices on fresh flatbread. Their flatbread and even the complimentary bread we received before this was to die for! Some of the best bread I've ever had at a Middle Eastern restaurant. It was warm, fresh, and airy. The Lahmacun had delicious flavor and paired well with the vegetables it's served with. 1pc is plenty to share among 2 people. It was now time for the Mixed Grill which was presented beautifully! All the meat was outstanding, tender, juicy, smoky, you name it. I honestly didn't have a favorite because they were all delicious. I love that it's served with both rice and salad with the salad being on both sides of the plate making it even easier to share. This was easily sharable among 2 people and could even stretch out to 3 people if you order other appetizers. We ended with the Finn Sütlac which is a Turkish-style baked rice pudding. It was creamy and lightly sweet but the rice grains were still whole and slightly undercooked which I didn't particularly enjoy. I'm used to them being softer and even smaller in size. Beyti Kebab is easily a 4.5/5; some of the best Turkish food I've had across NY/NJ. Highly recommend!
