Dealing with mold is a scary thing, I looked at a lot of companies, sifting through reviews and had several companies come out. I was pleased with my meeting with Ricky at BH Environmental, the process was explained and I felt an aura of relief. The mold was in the kitchen ceiling and of the companies that came out he was the ONLY one to go upstairs and take a moisture reading of the bathroom floor, which as it turned out had a high moisture reading. They not only did a great job protecting and securing the kitchen with plastic, but used hepa filters, dehumidifier, and fans to dry out the wood after remediation. They also put a dehumidifier in the upstairs bathroom! I highly recommend them for your remediation needs!! read more

Ricky, Carlos and Team helped us out during the homebuying process and after we closed with mold testing and remediation in Laurel Canyon. They had a very fast turnaround for testing, able to test while I was traveling for work and Ricky gave me a comprehensive review of the results. They were flexible when we had some delays with closing and were able to start work when it was feasible for us. They identified and treated mold which was important to us for our health, removed drywall and helped us find a large source of water intrusion that we are able to mitigate now before the rains. My tenant complained of mold . . . again. The first time, I replaced the AC/heating. There was no mold, but I had wanted to put in an HVAC system. Still, we found no mold at that time. Then, the tenant complained about mold again. Neither my husband or I could find mold. But I decided to be safe than sorry, so I called mold company X (not BH Environmental) and next day waited from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m at the property. Mold company X called at 12:15 to say the tech was sick and not coming. I was furious. I called BH Environmental and got lucky. They are the best! The communication was awesome via phone, email and text. They came to my rental house the next day and took samples. 24-hours later, the tests showed no mold. I notified the tenant, shared the findings that BH Environmental sent me; and asked the tenant to pay for the testing per the law; if not, as an owner, a tenant could demand testing every 30 days. Anyhow, BH Environmental was awesome and reasonable and efficient. They listened to my concerns about my tenants and provided peace of mind for all. Mold testing can be scary. Although I did not select this company to complete my project in the end, I highly recommend them from what I experienced. Ricky came out to give me a very competitive estimate and shockingly enough, another company beat it. I will mention they would have not beat it if I didn't get BH Environmental involved though. I contacted BH Environmental to conduct a mold remediation inspection following a lab test I received that indicated I had "black mold" coming for a slow leak in our roof. They were prompt with their scheduling to get someone out to scope out the job and provide an estimate immediately thereafter. I was in need of a mold inspector to check for mold in a property my client is in escrow on. I called and spoke with the owner Eitan on Tuesday morning and explained to him how we're in escrow and we have a 5 day inspection contingency. Our initial home inspection said there could be mold in a few areas of the home. My client needs to know if it's mold or not quickly. Eitan was able to schedule an appointment the same day about 2 hrs later. Ricky showed up on time and was able to collect the samples quickly. I received the results back the following afternoon (Wednesday) and received the scope of work and estimate Thursday morning by 9am. I was super impressed with the whole process.
