Wow. I came here with my two foodie friends and we have a high standard. This upscale Indian place blew us away. First of all, it's stunning, the decor was done very well. The table even had a tiger at the base! The restaurant used to be a nice Italian place and I am so happy it changed over. Keep in mind they have complimentary valet parking. For drinks, we ordered the old fashioned, the house bourbon is old forester, say no more. It was so tasty. Shikanji vodka sour was also ordered and my friends loved it. To start, we shared apps. My friends had the mail cheese masala bomb, which they loved. They also shared with me, the Lucknowi galouti kebab. It was really good and the sauce on the side was spicy but tasty. For dinner my friend ordered the butter chicken, she loved it. My other friend had the tandoori lamb chops. I tried both and they were excellent. I loved my madras Chilean sea bass. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce it was in was delicious. I hear they have an incredible music brunch on the weekend. Can't wait to go back and try it. I highly recommend this place

It's a beautiful restaurant with lots of gold and Indian accents in a dim room lighting. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. However, it was a bit pricey, but I guess it's because of the entire experience. The restaurant was a bit packed, but I would come back again.

Bhaijaan is on par with some of the best restaurants in NYC~each dish somehow better than the last. The flavors, presentation, and overall experience were outstanding. And, Sophia made it even better with warm, attentive service.

We had a reservation for 7:30 and arrived right on time at 7:28. We were told we could grab drinks at the bar and that our table would be ready in just a few moments. Time kept passing, and by 8:05 we were still waiting. We asked a few times about being seated and overheard the hostess wanting to seat a table of four that had just walked in before seating us as a party of two. Thankfully, the GM Amol stepped in and quickly had us seated, which we appreciated. Once seated, the ambiance really stood out. The restaurant is gorgeous, very upscale and modern, with strong NYC vibes. Knowing the owner previously had Pipali in NYC, which we frequented often, the aesthetic made complete sense and set high expectations. Service started off well, but became inconsistent. We ordered condiments at the same time as our food, yet had to reorder them multiple times. When they finally arrived, it was essentially when we were already finishing our meal, which was disappointing. That said, the food itself was incredible. Everything we ordered was superb and clearly thoughtfully prepared. My only critique food-wise was the lobster curry. While flavorful, the shells were left in for garnish and there were broken shell pieces mixed into the dish, which took away from the experience. I do want to acknowledge that this is a new restaurant and they are still finding their footing, so I'm not looking to bash them. However, a nearly 40-minute wait past a reservation time without any accommodation or gesture is unacceptable. Still, the food truly was amazing, and that absolutely deserves to be noted. With some tightening up on service and pacing, this place has the potential to be excellent.

Food was delicious, our waitress was super nice, kind and friendly. The Lamb shank fell of the bone, delicious. We had the chicken briyani too so good. The Rasmali dessert was good but I love a traditional Rasmali.

Parking's a little tight, but you can also grab a spot along the sidewalk if the lot is full. The four of us shared the TOC Special Dosa (stuffed with mixed veggies and cheese, rolled up with their sauces), Aloo Gobi Masala, two curries, and mango lassis. Everything was delicious, but my favorite dish was the Aloo Gobi Masala - potatoes, cauliflower, and a mildly spiced tomato sauce. Service was great and we literally finished every bite. Definitely recommend checking it out!

The spiciness is perfect and doesn't overpower the dish. When I ordered for people who couldn't handle the heat their mild prepared dishes were equally tasty. I have been inside the restaurant and it is a modest space with a few tables and chairs for diners. The restroom is off of the main entrance/vestibule which is a little odd, but they made due with the space they have. The workers are so wonderful and kind. I once parked in the wrong spot behind the building (tow-away zone) and it was raining and they said that after I pay for the order they'll bring it to me in that lot. I told them the color and make of my car and that's what they did. It was really nice of them to do that. The leftovers of the curries go well with chicken thighs or other meats if you don't want to let it go to waste!! One star removed for the garlic naan. It was tough and chewy vs light and fluffy and it was lacking in flavor. Happy eats !

It's also great that they offer zabiha halal options, which makes it more accessible and comfortable to order from. The food itself is where they shine. The biryani is especially good--aromatic, fresh, and well-layered in flavor. The haleem is rich, hearty, and very satisfying, and dishes like the keema luqmi also feel freshly made and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell there's real effort behind the savory items. That said, the menu feels a bit unfocused now. With the addition of things like Chinese dishes and smoothies, it starts to feel a little scattered instead of staying true to its Hyderabadi identity, which is a bit confusing as a customer. The decor is very modern and clean, but it doesn't really reflect the cultural richness of the cuisine--something more traditional like places such as Sunshine Restaurant would've suited it better. On the downside, the desserts were also not a hit for me--they leaned too sweet and didn't feel as balanced as the savory dishes.

Favorites included the lamb chops, the boursin potatoes were beyond delicious. And the amul stuffed paratha. Chicken biryani and Chicken tandoori were middle of the road. Skip the cranberry malai kofta and the cauliflower 65 is not for the weak. Everything was beautifully plated, maybe a little theatrical for my taste - smoke coloshes, chicken being lit on fire. There's a lot more on menu I want to try and I will be back! Dress code is a little unknown, some diners were dressed nicer and others were in sweatpants. Not sure what the vibe is for the evening. Service, they were quick to clear (not finished) dishes but left waters unfilled until asked but attentive enough for a small space.
