After researching and talking to close friends who used various companies, we decided to confirm with Careful Movers. They are not the cheapest, but they by far exceeded our expectations during our move. Starting with my inquiry, Mat, our Moving Consultant, was quick to respond and very patient in answering all my questions. Securing our moving date and processing our deposit were smooth processes. Leading up to our move date, Shenna called and emailed with reminders for any last-minute tasks and collected information so our moving team knew exactly what we needed on the date. On moving day, we had a crew of 3 movers: Enrique, Ismael, and Jose/Luis. They were punctual and arrived at our apartment right on time to get started on our move. After walking them through our apartment, discussing expectations, and signing the agreement, they went to work. This team was quick, and I mean QUICK, to disassemble and pack the truck. However, this does not mean they were sloppy by any means. Everything from our baby's furniture to our 75-inch TV was packed with the utmost care. Despite the rain, all of our belongings arrived safely at our new rental and were reassembled exactly as we asked. My husband and I are extremely happy with the services provided by this team and Careful Movers. We wouldn't hesitate to schedule with them again or refer them!

The first time they broke off a piece of my dresser. Second time, they stained, my white couch even though I specifically told them that it is white and it needs to be covered properly, and I found multiple black stains on my couch. Then black stains on my dining table, scratches all over my dining table and dining chairs AND they even forgot to unload my wedding poster! I had to call to ask them a few days later once I noticed! This time apparently the truck battery was dead and they came an hour late to our new place. I am extremely upset that I had to take the initiative to call Sheena and ask about what's going on because I have been standing on my strained ankle waiting for them for 56 mins. But the main issue is Jose the dispatcher. He is EXTREMELY rude, kept talking over me and wouldn't let me speak because he just kept talking over me. I'm losing practically an hour. The main issue was why didn't anyone call me to let me know? If I was communicated, this would have been fine and I would be understanding of it. But what made it worse was that Jose said if I only paid 3 hours worth (since this move was estimated about 4 hours) the guys would have to stop their job and not finish moving our items...WHAT?! This is not our problem! The fact that Jose was saying if I only paid 3 hours worth I will not get all my items?! When I lost an hour due to their truck's battery?! I felt so insulted, more so as a dispatcher shouldn't you have called me to let ME KNOW?! I will never ever hire this company again. Extremely rude dispatchers, especially Jose. I don't know why I tried to trust this company 3 times now. Should have stopped after my last move. Please look elsewhere. Because I will say it again, they are UNCAREFUL movers! Getting a per-hour quote and scheduling with their team was super quick and easy; they were very responsive and their pricing is very competitive. They arrived on-time and worked efficiently + carefully to pack up the home and deconstruct the furniture. They were also more than willing to move around furniture at our new place if we found that we wanted it oriented differently. All-in-all, the experience took longer than originally quoted but that was because we had a LOT to pack and move. Again, the quote is based on the number of hours to complete the move, so I still fully believe that the service is fairly and competitively priced. I'm also very grateful to the team of movers Ludwig, Simon, Jose, and Lupe for staying so long and working so hard that day. Please note, he personally came himself and walked through the house, saw the contents that needed packing and then gave the quote confidently. His crew is very diligent and have great attitude, hence the two stars. They packed well and delivered well but guess what, I had to pay almost double of the estimate because what Joshua estimated as an expert in this field was so off! I did pay the full amount as the work was complete and tipped the crew well too as I saw their hard work. Unfortunately it left a bad taste for us given how Joshua didn't even look to make it fair given his oversight. In fact I wonder if that's a trick he uses to secure clients who have to pay anyways once the move is done! I would never use or trust this guy again for the moving services.
