Best moving experience!! It was our first time moving experience and thank goodness everything ended up pretty well. All thanks to Flex movers and their team members, they were excellent. I found this service on yelp (Thanks to yelp). I initially filtered three other services and among all of them, flex was the only company that quoted nominal moving price, $104 per hour cash or $114 per hour credit for two movers and a truck. Most importantly, flex was the only company to give an appointment in a very short notice. Really appreciate their welcoming and accommodating service. Truck, gas, mileage from pick up to drop off location, blankets, free use of wardrobe boxes and unlimited tape and shrink wrap are all included in their service. We initially expected moving duration to be 4 hours but eventually it doubled and took 8 hours. We surely underestimated our items(ha ha!). We wanted them to set up our bed frames and few other furnitures at our new home on the same day. So altogether these became added reasons for the delay. Both movers patiently wrapped all our items, without any damage and didn't complain anything about the delay and rather helped us to a great extent, not minding to work until midnight. As we started moving only in the evening, work got extended until midnight and we (the hubby and me) were stressed and worried about it. But, big thanks to the two of them, who literally managed the work load of 3 to 4 people quite well and to again mention, with no complaints from their end at all. Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations and the service was prompt, non-interrupted, extremely helpful and understanding. Do not use Flex Movers! the worst moving experience I have ever had. Flex uses gig workers as the "experienced " and "trained" movers. The men that showed up to my house had never met each other, been trained or even educated about standard moving expectations. They showed up with nothing. No packing material. Waited a long time before someone from the company showed up. Then left shortly afterward. The damages to our belongings out weight the cost of the actual move. Our property was vandalized! The move was not even completed! 1/4 of our belongings are still at the old house. We have been going rounds with customer service. Defend, deny and delay. They took a page out of UHC's book. If I could rate them negative stars I would.. The ONE bright side was that the movers who came were extraordinarily nice. That being said... My dad booked them for my move. They gave him a quote that was cheaper than others so we went with them. The DAY before the move, they called back saying that we were misquoted and doubled the price which was more on par with other quotes. (Not happy but okay fine) The day of they arrived with a smallish trailer. They were positive and upbeat about it all fitting but there was no way. They asked if I could take all the small items...(nope, this is why we are paying what we are, I can't afford to get an additional trailer or anything) then I told them I have a sleep number bed, provided them with the make and model, and they said they could disassemble and reassemble no problem and disassembled the bed. When speaking to the sales person or perhaps I think it was operations, the itemized list that they had for us (which they never asked for initially and only asked how many bedrooms) was completely incorrect. We gave them an itemized list and they came back and gave two options: one we can get just a 10% discount, let the movers continue, have them bring a second trailer that we load ourselves, and pay for them to come bring it up to our new place which would be more money, or we add labor and completely double the price. Yeah no thank you. Also they mentioned that they don't do sleep number beds and we let them know that the movers said they could and already took apart the bed. Needless to say we asked for our deposit back and fired them and asked them to reassemble the bed. They did that, assured us it was working, and were so kind, thanked us and left. When I went to the bed to check on it later and to make the bed since now we had to book other movers for a different day, they were not inflating. Upon further inspection they had ripped the magnets from the mattress and now half of one side of the bed wouldn't inflate nor is it now staying on the base correctly. When I reached out, customer service simply said they would send out a claims form that would take 7-10 days to review. It is going to cost 190$ just to have someone from sleep number LOOK at the mattress and try to repair it. The kind customer service rep also said nobody was able to speak with me regarding this aside from her because they were "busy". Considering the amount of headache they have caused and wasted time, I would think they would have made this more of a priority. Apparently not. If they resolve this issue with my bed at the very least, I'm more than happy to amend my review but I could not stress to use another service more. The fact that they misquoted by over 1000$ only to let us know the day before, did not communicate about an inventory list and misquoted AGAIN based on our needs, and then broke my bed (accidentally I'm sure) but without trying to resolve it right away...absolutely unacceptable. read more

The good they were promt and on time, 2 men with a Uhaul 26 foot truck and 2 Uhaul dollys that hold 2 boxes max therefore it will take more time to move them and well yes, they charge by the hour $130.00 hour to be exact. They worked steady with just a couple of water breaks, after loading and driving to my new place they unloaded the truck at a steady pace putting the boxes, furniture in their places according to the writing on the box top. They purposely put my 65 inch tv behind some boxes and other stuff out of sight, no big deal, after 3 and a half hours they were done, I paid them and they left, while putting together my home theater I noticed that the 65 inch tv was rocking and wobbling, upon inspection I found that they broke one of the feet off and did not tell me, I would have been pissed but at least I would have known, they hid it out of sight and left, I texted the person that set up the move and told her what had happened, she apologized and said she would contact the owner, that was 10 days ago and no response, "CRICKETS". I recently used a flex mover. They destroyed my leather sofa, recliner, and dresser. It took them forever to move nothing. The company offered me $530.00 for a 60 cent a pound compensation. First they are going to move you in a small TRAILER. Second they will cram you things in it. Cram and damage goes hand in hand. When things get damage they will fight with you to the end. Never use these people. Don't mention the lies. They will tell you that you do not pay for mileage if two trips are needed, that is a lie. Use a local mover, I have had better outcomes. read more

This was my first time hiring movers and I'm glad I hired these guys! They made the whole process quick and easy. I had packed beforehand but they loaded up my smaller items in larger wardrobe boxes. I only had a bedroom worth of stuff so the move did take less than the three hour minimum, including an extra trip to go back and disassemble/move my bedframe after I found a specific tool from an unpacked box. Update: After writing the review below yesterday, I was contacted by them to actually hear my feedback. I missed the call yesterday, but we could finally talk today. I told everything again, and they were apologetic about it. They explained to me their booking process and some unexpected things which happened during that day, like one of the team members got injured. They offered to reimburse the entire amount I paid but I didn't think it was fair since movers still did their job. It was the communication problem from booking service. They did agree for some discount in the original booking rate and sent me a reimbursement check. I have increased the rating to 2* for their effort. I hope that they will be more clear and active in terms of communication and no one else gets into such miscommunication. Booking in the morning slot should have less chances of things getting delayed. ....,...... Original: I am not sure if all these reviews are paid reviews, or all the bad reviews have been deleted some how. I got fooled by all these "great sounding reviews" and booked their service for last saturday at 2 pm. At the time of booking, communication with Norman was clear (apparently). We discussed that i want them to arrive at 2 pm and should get done in 2-2.5 hours. Their minimum booking is for 3 hours so it seemed reasonable to in case things extend a little over. The confirmation said, between 2-5 pm, and you would expect movers to arrive closer to 2 pm and things get done closer to 5 pm. Fast forward to the day of the move. No communication from them even past 2 pm. I did try to check confirmation a day before by messaging here on yelp. I called them around 2:15 to check what is the eta. I was told that movers will arrive between 4-4:30!!!! I was literally losing myself after hearing this. Apparently, They could not find movers for my confirmed time and unloaded my appointment to a group which was working 1-4 for someone else. NO COMMUNICATION TO ME. AT ALL Finally, the movers arrived at 5:45 PM. Almost 4 hours late!!!!! One thing the guy said that they will add a 3rd mover for my service so that things get done on time. I knew it won't be needed but I still said yes for the third person. I had plans for the evening after the move gets done, and all those I had to cancel. Plus extra third person only increased my tipping cost. Movers did decent job except one of the guy used restroom in my old apartment and did not even flush. I was doing a final check after the things were loaded to the truck and bathroom was stinking really bad. I had to clean it again. Even when you relocating local, you want all your stuff to be secured and steady inside a truck, but when it comes to a long distance you want to be 100% secured, and guys offered me insurance, showed me pics and those reviews of a long distance left me with no doubt who to choose. We are openine new store near the Bay Area in San Francisco. My analyst find out it is cheaper to find equipment in Bakersfield and the only thing we had to figure out is a delivery. My friend Char recommended me these awesome movers who could schedule me for the past weekend. And the rest was for the movers. When moving, one has to take into account many factors. Distance, amount and type of items to be moved, restrictions on move out/in time, and of course every expense along the way all contribute to the hassle of transferring your life in one city to that of another. That is way I am quite pleased to have found Flex Movers on Yelp. They managed to make every aspect they had control over as smooth as possible. In particular were the constraints I had on dates I could move out/in thus necessitating a mover spend the night in the destination city prior to unloading the next day. This they handled professionally, all while charging me about half of what I had been quoted by most other options. I especially want to thank Nick for all the hard work he did and cheerful attitude he maintained despite several delays and setbacks completely outside of his control. The 2 stars do not reflect the kindness of the movers. Our console table was scratched to the point that we had to donate it. They mentioned they were going to compensate us for it. Left xple messages and still haven't heard back. A lot of our furniture was scratched and damaged. They are hard working but at the end we have so many chipped and scratched furniture which is too bad. We cannot recommend them sadly. read more

These guys nailed it! My wife and I have been looking for a moving company who could take care of our 1 bedroom move from San Jose to San Francisco and Flex Movers did just great. Alex and Paul are an awesome team of two movers making moving process smooth, safe and fast. They did take care of our fragile stuff, were very friendly and gave me tips for my next move in July. What was really surprising is that they deliver packing materials in advance at their prime cost, with free delivery. That's the only moving company I found here that does this. Moving process came out a lot cheaper than with previous company since we saved a lot of time and around $200 on the move and packing. I sent a multiple quotes through the yelp feature and first to reply was these awesome guys. Anthony hit me up with an email saying they could do the job the very same day and I decided to work with them. What did I have? 5 boxes, 1 rare table made of stone, which is somewhat heavy. I would say really heavy! 2 black wood nightstands and the second material bedframe with a huge headboard with a glass incrustation all over. I asked movers to be extremely polite and careful especially with a table, since it was really heavy, I wouldn't think 2 guys can make it, they told me they could sent additional helping hands. And some other misc stuff. Actually, I wasn't able to be present at loading but since they have an insurance I was satisfied. There was nothing to worry about, movers did excellent job covering everything. When everything arrived to LA we checked every single item. All was fine. Excellent moving company with a great rate.
